    This is one of the best “recent” clips of Peter that I’ve seen, and I watch them all the time. Loved this one. Peter still feels the music all the way down to his soul.

      Thanks for the compliment on the video. I first saw Peter in October 1970 with Chicago and he has been giving audiences more than their money's worth ever since. I always felt Peter was the heart of Chicago and Terry Kath was its soul.

    Going through some really hard times emotionally and I find peace in coming to Amy of his wonderful voice. He has been my go to place when I need and emotional lift. Thank you Peter Cetera for the gift of your one of a kind voice.

    I know things change over time but I would love to see Chicago all together again with Cetera. All the great voices of Chicago together would be priceless. They are all great but neither Chicago nor Peter Cetera are the same. They just need to get together and do one last concert for old time sake. I wouldn't be able to afford the tickets though. Imagine those ticket prices!

      I really do love Peters voice and respect him as an artist. I just watched Chicago's 2018 live version of this song and I was blown away. This is really good but Chicago doing this song today is spectacular! I would love to see Cetera reunite with Chicago but I don't think it will ever happen.

      Peter is singing more Chicago songs on his own than other songs. Doesn't he know it hurts the fans of Chicago that he refuses to ever sing with them. They must have had some very close happy times to bring the bond back. It's not like they have forever!

    • @roberthayden3741
      @roberthayden3741  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Paul, that was the first time I shot video at a concert. I had been taking still photos since the late 1970s and it was different as far as trying to hold the camera steady. They sure don't let you bring in a tripod or a unipod.

    • @paulmiller7276
      @paulmiller7276 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Robert Hayden I know - I think I got him singing hard to say I’m sorry. He doesn’t like to see people with cameras. My iPhone was inconspicuously on my lap partially covered by my coat but I guess he could see me moving it. So at the end of the song he walks over to my side of the stage and says “ are we guilty of doing something we said we wouldn’t do?” And I said, not me Pete ! What a trip! Peter Cetera yelled at ME in a concert. I’ll upload it if I can figure out how...

    PC said once in an interview that breaking with Chicago was like a divorce. Many have asked for a reunion. But PC said that after a divorce (well, he was asked to leave Chicago) would you return to your ex? He said, no. That’s why he didn’t even interested to attend R&RHoF ceremony.

  • @papagcortellino5283

    PC has proven there is a life after Chicago. Danny has done the same, playing some of his best Chicago produced tunes with more of a jazz twist. Had Terry survived, he too, no doubt would have moved on, following more a blues direction.

    • @HuntChicagoHomes
      @HuntChicagoHomes 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      yeah, at the time of his death he was planning on quitting chicago and starting a new soul rock band , Cook County. No doubt he would have hit it big

      @@HuntChicagoHomes I read an article/interview with Michelle (??) Kath, his daughter. She mentioned that is where his heart was, a blues band. She is also mentioned, Danny most likely would have joined him. They both played so well together, and enjoyed the connection.

    Hmmmm......well, OK. Maybe Peter Cetera was the heart of Chicago after all. I kinda always thought it was Terry Kath, and still do to some extent, but then I thought it was Robert Lamm. Now, here's the deal. It's OK that there are 2 very legitimate entities doing justice to Chicago's music.

    Growing up in Chicago, there was very little to be proud of....It's just such a corrupt POS city....always has been, looks like it always will be....BUT, the bands Chicago, Ides of March, Styx, REO & Cheap Trick (I think they were more Rockford, but close enough for me), Earth, Wind & Fire, Muddy Waters, Bo Diddley, Willie Dixon, Chaka Khan, Benny Goodman, Miles Davis, Ramsey Lewis, and a decent amount of other fine talent... otherwise Chicago is a mess...and very forgettable (on a good day), at least for me...
