So I’ve been binge watching quite a few of these men’s fragrance videos but I absolutely appreciate 3 things that are unique to yours:
1. Blind reaction, so you’re not being swayed by designer branding. Though it’s understandable each person has a preferred scent
2. Having the price listed, so if I’m considering getting it I know right away how much I’d spend
3. Reacting to both the freshly sprayed and having been sitting for a while for each scent because it matters

While I very much appreciate her opinion and reactions, she’s one woman. Not all women love these scents unfortunately. I also know women that don’t like any cologne for various reason no matter how idiotic the reasoning is. My point is go with what YOU like. Since fragrance is hit or miss based off of personal preference, it’s hard to find one universally loved by an entire sex lol. Also, the amount you spray... for the love of God please be aware of how much you spray lmao.
@@coreybeavers8853 True, but detailed and blind reviews of them from a woman's pov makes shopping for them and picking one much easier. Meanwhile some other girl might tell you she loves a certain one without mentioning it's because her ex wore it lol Now you smell like Chad.
This is how all fragrance reviews should be. Not knowing the brand. i know a lot of girls who might be bias towards a certain designer

Yeah, and then changed the whole order ranking the A&F first although just saying it was very fruity. More surprisingly she ranked the Sauvage least although she said she liked it in the beginning.
This is because when you keep smelling fragrances, the smell you pick up is changing overtime. When smelling prada l'homme for a long time, you will miss the nice top notes and end up with the "weird" smell. I really csnt describe it but i would say prada is one of the best ones of the list tbh

Would like to see her react to Old Spice, Canoe, Aqua Velva, Mennon's Skin Bracer and English Leather. She would probably like the one that smells like her grandfather's scent, assuming she could make it through the entire test.

I love how she was so practical with her approach. This is the type of review/testing I'd love to see all women do. It just puts a sharp knife through any bias that a reviewer might hold and I wish this type of video was standard in the fragrance reviewing world.

Your fragrance videos are so well done! Exactly how it should be, completely unbiased without knowing the brands or seeing the bottle! Your Prada L'homme reaction is the exact same my girlfriend has when I wear it, one of her favourites. Keep up the good work!

Another great video by the beautiful Courtney Ryan. I recently saw one of your older videos and you said you were only doing this since lockdown, I was blown away I thought you were doing it for at least 3-4 years by how natural you are in front of camera. For your next fragrance video I think you should compare it on skin as they smell so much different than tester strips.

Colognes are very hard to rate like that, they particularly smell differently on human skin even, so I wouldn't be surprised if your least favorites became your favorites after being worn on the skin
Dior sauvage smells basic on paper but when I used to have it, it knocked women the fuck out. On paper, or even in general, actually, it's definitely not exotic or flavorful, UT something in it seduces females when they smell it on man.

@@CourtneyRyan iwas gifted a bottle of Davidoff Cool Water many years ago and i still have the bottle. You characterized it as 'old person" smell, and that seems spot on to me. i think i'm going to Gift myself the Versace eros and the Sauvage, for Christmas this year.

This is the way to do a blind test. Both the opening and a proper DRY DOWN. I wish some of the popular fragrance reviewers can take example from your excellent video.❤❤❤
Eau Sauvage Eau de Toilette is a fresh citrus and I have loved it for over 45 years, as a young woman I wore it, lol

I have found you can't really know if a cologne will smell good on you by just sniffing it out of the bottle. Your own body chemistry plays a big role on what smells good on you. A fragrance that a woman likes on one man may be repellent on you. That is why there is so much variety in the market and why men will stick with one cologne for decades.
you want to use a soap, shampoo, and other things which compliment your scent. For example, if you use gain detergent and wash something in it don't spray some cologne on there that will conflict with the smell

Yep, i can conform this, First Instinct is one of my most complimented frags, next to Bleu de Chanel EdP and Creed Aventus and i own over 140 Niche fragrances, from fresh to sweet and heavy dark blends.
There you go fellas, you don't need expensive fragrances to smell good.

Great honest review! I get unsolicited compliments with Mont Blanc Individuel, Versace Eros, Prada L'homme and Dior Sauvage. There's a reason they're popular and they simply work!

I appreciate you doing these rankings. I did notice that in the second and third rounds of smelling the scents you smelled both the initial and dry down at the same time. This is the reason why your ranking totally changed. Unless someone sprays themselves over a couple of hours, how the notes appeared to smell in 2nd and 3rd rounds would not represent the smell if someone used it in normal use.
Loved the video I knew they would be a part 2. I still have my Joop bottle I bought after watching the last video, although now I will be buying the Montblanc Individuel now. Thank you Courtney, can't wait for part 3

You stumbled through this cologne review but it was authentic and genuine......WELL DONE!! It's nice to see some authenticity once and awhile and a nice smile to go with it ;-)
There are no wrong choices. Dior Sauvage is polarizing . . . some love it, others not so much.Very interesting ranking.

@@wyro3350 yeah the new batches barely project as much as they used to, i used a buddys bottle from 2016 and it lasted until the next day, my current 2019 bottle barely lasts more than 4 hours

Lol, First Instinct may be my favorite fragrance (I love the melon). Being that I live in FL, this kind of fragrance works perfect for any beach/pool party type occasion. Coach for Men (another favorite) is done in the same vein as First Instinct, where they use a semi-sweet fruit note on top of an amber/suede base…those are my favorite type of fragrances. Fun video!

Prada L'Homme is one of my all-time favorite fragrances. The entire line is amazing.

I get compliments like "you smell good" or "you smell nice" or "I really like your cologne" or "what are you wearing?" from many of the fragrances in this vid...but the only one that I have gotten the compliment "you smell really sexy" with (a few times) is Sauvage! Francois Demachy put some magic potion in that juice! Lol I suspect it simply comes down to Sauvage smelling very pleasant in the air (great performer), its both sweet and fresh and very masculine (with that cool metallic ambroxan vibe) at the same time. All bases covered.
The Sauvage reaction was really surprising

For someone just getting into fragrances, it's awesome to know what they smell like in simple terms.

A&F is the only cologne I've bought for years and stuck to it haha was happy to see it come in at #1 considering the popularity of some of these

Hi Courtney. I’ve never tried any of these fragrances but I like a few of the CK range that you haven’t tried yet. These fragrance testing gives me some insight into what I could do when taking my next girlfriend to find a men’s fragrance that she likes and wants me to use.
Hi Courtney, I would love to see you reviewing some niche expensive fragrances like anything from Le Labo, Comme des Garçons, Frederic Malle, Penhaligons, Clive Christian and Commodity to see if they’re really good or just over hyped
Awesome video! Love seeing fragrance reviews from ladies. Recommendations for future vids: ersace Pour Homme, D&G Light Blue and it's main flankers (Eau Intense and Swimming in Lipari), Acqua Di Gio Profumo, Creed Aventus, Armaf Club De Nuit Intense Man, Montblanc Legend Spirit.
Also, find out if your boyfriend knows about discounters and grey markets, like FragranceNet, FragranceX, ForeverLux, etc. And, DecantX if he wants to try fragrances, especially niche, for much cheaper.

Nice video. Bentley for Men Intense has been my wife’s favorite on me lately. The opening is a little over the top, but it is pretty excellent for hours once it dries down. Cheap too!

I love Versace Eros! I don’t know if you have smelled Mont Blanc Legend before, but that one smells great too.

Legend does smell good, but most agree that the performance is VERY weak. If I'm lucky I get 3 hours on my skin, and the last hour has zero sillage. That's why I would recommend Percival from PDM. It's a similar smell, but Percival smells better, it's blended better, the performance and sillage is outstanding, and overall Percival is a much higher quality fragrance. Yes it's a lot more expensive per bottle (Legend is $35 for 100 ML and Percival is $186 for 125 ML), but in the long run I think there's more value because you don't need to spray nearly as much and a bottle or Percival could last 4-5 times longer depending on how each performs on your skin. I get 12 hours from 3 sprays of Percival.

You do that face that girls do when i wear 10 sprays of my heaviest leather oud stuff, and then you say you like it. I cant figure you out. :D
My favorite cologne is Polo Explorer by Ralph Lauren. Unfortunately, they discontinued it several years ago, though I can still occasionally find it on eBay. It's CRAZY expensive, though.
To quote their description: "Top notes are mandarin orange and bergamot; middle notes are coriander and leather; base notes are sandalwood, amber and mahogany."
Best cologne I've ever owned.
Eros is the one cologne I get a ton of compliments on! Along with Jean Paul Gaultier Le Male, Armani Acqua Di Gio and Issey Miyake L'eau D'issey Pour Homme. I've worn colognes that just didn't mix well with my body chemistry. I like to buy the really small bottles to test first to see if it works for me and then get a bigger bottle if I really like it.
For next video, I recommend YSL La Nuit De L'homme, Creed Aventus, Acqua Di Gio Profumo, Spicebomb Extreme, 1 Million, Chanel Bleu, Dior Homme Intense. Then you will have pretty much smelled most of the popular men's fragrances

To each their own. When I first began my serious fragrance journey few years back before venturing into niche, I was impressed with the melon note of A/F First Instinct. But now as I wrote this, I am 2 days from selling it as my auction closes 😂
Just never reached for it and for that reason alone, IT HAD TO GO.

Prada L'homme one of my favorites for sure!
Late to the party but I love these videos, here are some recommendations for the next one:
Bleu de Chanel, Mont Blanc Explorer, Spicebomb Extreme, Armani Code Profumo, Nautica Voyage.
Would also be funny to throw in one of the mainstream niche fragrances like Creed Aventus, Parfum de Marly Layton, or Tom Ford Tabacco Vanille.
An Exclusive Dior perfume collection are my Top favorite 💐
I can tell you’re a really nice person Courtney because you’ll say I don’t like this one (Bentley) and then later say I like it just not as much as the others 😂

Most fragrance reviews give ppl the opening...which really only lasts around 30 min after spraying. To me 1 hour plus is a true review, because after u spray urself, by the time u get to where ur going...the opening is gone.
I would love to see more of these episodes and then have a "final" where all the top-ranking fragrances get pitted against each other so we know who is the best of the best

I havent seen the first fragrance video you put out yet but Creed aventus and creed green irish tweed are the ones I get most compliments from. In fact I have never been out wearing it and not had someone comment on how good I smell.
