Thank you so much for taking the time to make and document these upgrades. I have sent you a DM on Facebook as some of the links in descriptions didn't come up with anything online. If you could help that would be awesome, cheers mate
Fascinating to watch but well above my ability!! My cult Ranger has just died and I will be looking to buy a new boat. I would love to be able to what you do but I have know idea where to start! 🤣
Nice video again.👍 Parts are on the way and looking forward to the build. I first want to get the pump prime mod done. But I cant find a video and parts list for it. Can't be that difficute i think?
Thanks H jan, it’ll be being upgraded to 2.4Ghz so I’ll be using the 2.4ghz transmitter and 2.4Ghz receiver that are in the video (nothing from the 40Hz Angling Technics gear will be being used) links to everything mentioned is in the video description
I think you can but not doing these mods as this is a complete rewire. There are kits you can buy to convert it from 40Mhz to 2.4GHz, which use the Angling Technics main board and escs
Hi Dave I’ve messaged you via instagram, I’ve managed to sort it by getting rid of the angling technics stuff completely. Great videos I’m doing the servo mounts today as they are the last thing to arrive, I’ve also just fitted a rocker switch instead of the remote one,
Excellent videos Dave. I'm going to convert my AT Standard to 2.4g with independent hoppers... :) I'm assuming i'm going to need two ESC's (which i've ordered) for both forward pumps; but as there's only one reverse pump, i only to feed that with just one ESC..? I was originally going to do this as an Arduino project but your vids convinced me otherwise..!
Hi again Dave, iv already upgraded my handset to a 2.4 but it’s basic compared to the 1 your using ( Futaba 6L sport ) would I still be able to upgrade the door mechanism to servos with this handset? Thanks for your time mate, regards Andy
Hi Jim, you only use one receiver. The first receiver is just a standard PWM receiver, where you plug the servo connectors to each channel. The second receiver in the video is an SBUS receiver, which would use where you are using a board that can receive an SBUS signal. I haven’t done a video on this yet so you wouldn’t require this receiver as of yet.
I do like that controller, but quite a few of them features as in the telemetry is just stuff that is of no reel use. But it is hands down 100% better than the old standard breeze block controller. How much are they now out of interest?...
Have you got a list of everything you need to carry out this mod. I have a mini lake start which runs of fluxional wire but one hopper doesn't release so want to do the same conversation as you
Did you use a separate physical servo reverser? Cant you put each servo on a different rx output and do the reversing and end point adjustment etc in the transmitter?
Is there any cheaper controllers than this one FrSky X-Lite S 2.4GHz Radio Controller As its out of stock. I just need one to get started for now as i purchased a technics mak 1 which appears to be dead. :(
Hi, you would definitely need to open the boat up and I wouldn’t have a clue how you could use the remote with just the Angling Technics radio gear unfortunately.
Loved it searching for a cheap microcat and then on it. Cant wait for part 3. Probably be pick8ng your brains very soon.

Awesome look forward to the next part. I'm hoping to build mine like this shopping list has been made.

Nice video, been waiting on part 2 since you released part 1.
Can't wait for part 3!!
Thanks matthew griffiths 👍🏼
Nice one Bro! 👍 I'll bring my MicroKitten round over Xmas for some Christmas 🎄 lights ✨️
Nice video again.👍 Parts are on the way and looking forward to the build.

Awesome video! Can't wait for the upgrade of boat Lid. It will be on part 4?
Thanks Alberto, yeah, Part 4 will be the lid upgrade 👍🏼
Nice video, will you using part of reciever unit again or completely new unit and what kind
Can you use the original printed circuit board for the boat?

Nice one Andy, yeah, you could do it with two escs but only wire one of the escs for reverse 👍🏼

I would like to know if we can use a cheaper controller and still retain the same functionality?
Did you use the original printed circuit board to upgrade the remote
Hi Matt
I've started removing everything from my boat and started ordering everything, I just wondered why and where you used both receiver's?
Hi Jim, you only use one receiver. The first receiver is just a standard PWM receiver, where you plug the servo connectors to each channel. Yes, it’s in the video description

Yeah, you can do that, although that would use up two channels on the receiver, instead of just one

Will this add GPS auto pilot to the boat?
Hi I have a microcat had and was wondering can I just use the remote you are using or will I have to open the boat up n change bits aswell
Hi, you would definitely need to open the boat up and I wouldn’t have a clue how you could use the remote with just the Angling Technics radio gear unfortunately.
What radio gear stuff do I have to purchase to get the same set up your using please dave is it just the transmitter and receiver thanks
Hi mate do you have a wireing diagram at all please
Hi, yeah, it’s under the links for the part 3 video:

@DaveMattock cheers mate all sorted that side now but what is the best way to get the glue off for the led lights
Hello 👋 are you available to do the same to mine I have the same boat
Hi Billy, I just do the videos to help people out who want to do the mods themselves, I don’t do the mods for other people unfortunately.
