      Stay inside the ball and keep the bat close to your shoulder, what an amazing tip. It helped me not get so around it.

      What would you do if you found some guy throw 100-110mph bullpen behind a Walmart?
      Hitting 110 mph occasionally

    In the physics of the swing, a "connected" swing means that your entire body mass is behind your swing. If you are disconnected, only the mass of your arms and the bat are behind the swing, not the mass of your body. Force is mass times acceleration, so if you have less mass behind your swing, you are applying less force to the ball. To maximize power, you want to maximize the force you apply to the ball, so you want all of your mass connected to your swing.

    This video finally helped give me an idea of what I was doing wrong in my swing. I am finally keeping my elbows separated through the swing, and I’ve never felt as easy as now. I was just hitting off a tee in my basement, and for the first time, didn’t feel anything on my hands, and felt like I had easy power. Just focusing on keeping my elbows apart stopped my bat drag entirely when I watched back my video.
    Seeing as I’m 21 and no longer play any form of competitive ball, I’m a little pissed to just figure this out now, but I’ve never been more excited to do tee work before. I’m hoping I get to play some season this year.
    Anyway, I’m rambling, but I just wanted to tell this to someone, because I feel like I can finally start from the ground up and really build my swing now. Thank you!!!!

      focusing on elbows apart...That just made me change my whole hitting sensation,I will definitely try that out.

    Justin, you have made my favorite sport go from basketball to base baseball. I am hitting 10x more dingers that I was before watching u. U give amazing advice and have made me the player I am today. I used to hit balls just out the infield, now I hit at LEAST 25 to 40 further. In batting practice people now My team has to say in BP “big hitter back up!“ Thanks Justin. 👊🏽

    Can you please do a short on video on grip pressure? And how it changes through out the swing. I feel is hard to find a video on it and it plays an important role in your swing speed and how relax you are.

    • @ram42193
      @ram42193 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Just my personal preference, but I find that initially you want to have the bat tucked deep into your hand and thumb pocket, to where you can remove your fingers but still hold the bat there, then when you wrap your fingers around thats the pressure you want to maintain through out the swing.

    I have been told I have a great swing (Power wise). But that swing can NEVER connect with the ball. If I can get a great swing with an amazing pitch I probably could drop it into center maybe a bit before that. May I remind you this is a 14u / middle school team. (This was commented before sign ups came out)
