    Hi Justin
    My granddaughter is struggling to transfer hitting at practice to the game. I started watching your tips today. So glad I found you! I'll be sharing your TH-cam channel with her when she gets home from a tournament later today.
    She hits at the batting cages, here at home and never misses a practice. She shows up early to practice so she can get hitting in from the pitching machine. At practice coaches focus is on offense drills not batting. She started playing at 14 so this is her 3rd season.
    The first error or strike out in a game she's out for the rest of the game, even in the middle of an inning...I believe this messes with her confidence. Thank you for all her awesome tips!

    I've been watching a ton of your videos recently. I play in a 28+ Men's League during the summer, and was struggling at the plate at the beginning of the year. I'm a switch hitter, and this video helped me recognize the differences in my 2 swings and things to work on/avoid. Hope to take this into my tee/cage sessions to improve that hip drive and rotation from the left side, and not get too flippy with the right.
    Also, I have the same turf shoes!

    3 TIPS I recommend for Beginner Players:
    1. Use your hips while hitting, using your hips give you more power.
    2. As Coach Justin said, stride forward, hands back.
    3. Take the win or loss as a learning experience.
    I hope this helped anybody!

      And i see the ball decent, i can get to 3-0, 2-1, walk alot, but when i swing at goid ones i think im just waaaaay too late and im only on plane for a milisecond where i have to b perfect or im striking out. So i think this one is it. Coaches in my area suckedddddd when i was a kid. Wow

    Wish so bad I would’ve had a chance to play baseball. I was a football/track guy from age 7 all the way to sophomore year of highschool then I quit as I wasn’t into it anymore. But I’ve always really loved the game of baseball. My dad never wanted me to play and had complete control over what I did, he wouldn’t let me try other sports out. I got to try out for my buddies team in middle school, and his coach liked me. I went to the batting cage a couple of times to work on my swing and after that my dad made me stop going. After multiple attempts at begging him to let me play he wouldn’t take me to practices.

    Hey Coach Justin, I had a question about how to make the bat feel lighter. I had an injury that sidelined me for a while, so my bat felt heavier once I was done rehabbing. Do you have any tips to help this? Thanks!

    • @officialilyclan1742
      @officialilyclan1742 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I use a weight that I put on my bat so when I’m getting ready to bat I use that weight on my hat and it makes the bat feel a lot heavier and then when I take it off the bat is very light

  • @Bigstubs1

    My question is about bat technique: my 11 YO brings his bat all the way around when he swings and he finishes holding the bat with one hand. Several coaches have told him to hold the bat with both hands. What is the reason for this? What problem is this technique which produces balls hit about 285 feet.

  • @joesanchez3646
    @joesanchez3646 2 ปีที่แล้ว

    That’s all fine and dandy when the ball is on a tee, this is possible only in a very small area of the strike zone, just get the sweet spot on the sweet spot and the ball will come off the bat hard

    Hmmm. I was told by a college player years ago that the thumb sides of your wrists should be facing up to the sky during the roll over in the middle of your swing over the plate to transfer maximum energy to the ball? You are saying palm up top hand and the palm down lower hand. Way different. Was the two wrist roll over old school advice? He explained it allows the momentum of the bat to drive thru on a longer level plane and requires less strength from the batter? It is using physics instead of just having to muscle the power into the bat. Anyone else ever heard of this type of swing technique?
