Dude! I love this guy. Love his honesty. Finally a drummer who says what most of us are thinking. “Fake it till you make it” …”I can’t play that and blamed it on the gear”… I got into a fill I couldn’t get out of “…. “We have fun, I’m not that much of a psychopath” As a Lifetime member of Drumeo… once again proud to be a part of the drumming and Drumeo community!
Tanner is a really sweet guy. What you see here, that's the real Tanner. All that good weather in San Diego, it makes people really easy going. If you read the original statements/interviews where In Flame recuited Tanner, you'll see, his attitude and personality played a crucial role. They had toured with Tanner as a tech, and knew how he acted on tour and under pressure. Its a an interesting life lesson- personality and attitude can get you a lot further than talent (although talent obviously doesn't hurt 😂). All of us know someone who is super gifted, but can't get their attitude figured out, and it holds them back.
This guy’s a killer player. But what I love the most and find so refreshing is his transparency and honesty. Finally, someone who is willing to talk about the shortcuts and practicalities and “tricks” behind so much of metal and rock playing! Fantastic stuff.
So you love his honesty but he lied to his future bandmates when he auditioned??? That doesn't really add up right? Don't get me wrong, he is a great drummer but that I found sketchy
I've been a huge fan of Tanner Wyne since 2010 during his days with Chiodos. His work in the album Illuminaudio has a ton of amazing techniques & patterns that are super incredible to play. I was even able to purchase his red acrylic Truth Custom drum kit that was used during his run with Scary Kid Scarying Kids. 🤘🥁🤘
Love your energy Brandon! You are bringing even more fun to my journey. Today I spent quite a bit of time with you :). 6/8 grooves and fills, 7/8, and rock beats workouts plus the amazing live with Gregg. You rock!
@suspicionofdeceitThe Halo Project is closer to the "old In Flames". I personally don't mind they got more polished, although I did lose interest after A Sense of Purpose. Hearing this live show makes me optimistic about the future of the band. It has some of that raw energy again.
Seeing In Flames at knotfest in Australia was one of the most fulfilling and unforgettable sets I have seen, everyone on the stage was having a blast and killing it. In Flames we trust.
Thanks so much guys🤘In Flames has been one of my favorite bands since I got COLONY at age 16- I'm 41 now and still love them! Daniel was a great drummer and Tanner is doing a good job carrying the torch
Loving the new In Flames stuff! Think the band's got great chemistry and seems like everyone digs each other so I hope to be able to continue to hear what they all come up with for some time! Tanner, great job! Love hearing your personal touches but do appreciate that you honor the originals well.
Tanner's contribution to the album Foregone truly made it stand out as one of the top releases of 2023. In Flames has been reinvigorated and is rocking harder than ever with this talented dude behind the drums.
Man, I caught the US Tour they just did twice - Tanner absolutely crushed it. SO stoked to see this video drop today! Unexpected surprise, instant watch
This was an awesome video and Tanner is far too humble. In Flames' latest LP is a whopper of an album and his drumming is perfect for the songs. Also love how he's super honest about making certain songs easier to make sure he doesn't gas himself out, it's what we all do really.
Being a fan of the band since the late 90s and only finally seeing them on that tour last December, on the very last date, it was an absolute blast and Tanner KILLED IT!!!
Love the fact he mentions that he will adapt his fills to 'if he is feeling "it" at that moment'. I approach it the same way, sometimes the kit just feels off a little bit (due to festival kits, or quick changeovers) that I rather play it safe than try to get that crazy fill and get stuck behind that cymbal that is mounted just not in the right position.
that was a great video. Seeing these guys live in 2019 when I had the VIP meet and greet experience in Portland, Maine was one of the best concerts of my life so far. Did not see them this year because of the venue not having great sound in the opening bands just not being, my kind of metal so didn’t want to ruin the great experience. I had back in the day. Hope that In Flames comes back to Portland Maine and plays aura again or the cross insurance Arena teamed up with another awesome metal band like Soilwork or something similar.
Caught a stick from Tanner during his first tour with In Flames. I keep it next to a Chris Broderick guitar pick on my hall table. Seen them every time they have come to Minnesota.
Awesome Vid, Thanks for the look behind the Curtain In Flames / Drumeo, Was sick seeing these guys down under last year (2023) for the Knotfest Sydney Show :)
Love In Flames! Tanner really got Daniel Svenssons Drumparts down. Love his new versions and his creativity! Suggestion for future is Mike Bordin from Faith No More!
The blast beat sprint intro in the beginning of IN FLAMES - FORGONE PT1 is a copy from the 2003 song Macabre Apparition by Nightrage, album; Sweet Vengeance.
saw in flames at the palladium last year in L.A. i was so hyped for meshuggah, that i totally slept on them. i won't make that mistake again; in flames killed it and totally kicked my ass. sometimes life gives us these little gifts...
I love the honesty and all that... BUT.. I think he is under rating himself. One of the most awesome drummers in melo death. Saw them for the... well, frankly, I dont know how many times I have seen them, but last week in Gothenburg and he nailed it. Again. As always.
I appreciate him thinking of the old school fans who love the original music. I think Daniel's parts were so smart and always played to the song really well.

drumeo is quite possibly the best drums oriented channel which everyone watches
Yeah I don't even play drums
Agree, but ur comment look like a bot
@@knibknib5736your right,
IMO, this channel doesnt need computer generated comments or any other "non-human" help, to boost it..

one of the major catalyst that brought In Flames back to their old form

Wait, In Flames is back to their old form again? Please tell me this is true. I just want to go to a show where they will play anything from Whoracle.
@@CentiZen see them in Argentina 2023... "Graveland", "Ordinary Story", "Behind Space", "The Hive", "Ep 666"...
An amazing set list.
Love what Tanner has brought to In Flames! Hope he stays around for years to come
Seeing In Flames at knotfest in Australia was one of the most fulfilling and unforgettable sets I have seen, everyone on the stage was having a blast and killing it.
In Flames we trust.
They were dope!
Nice one. He convinced me first show I saw after him joining. And now you tell me he is an honest humble open guy? What a treat
Thanks so much guys🤘In Flames has been one of my favorite bands since I got COLONY at age 16- I'm 41 now and still love them! Daniel was a great drummer and Tanner is doing a good job carrying the torch
Same mate, 15 when I heard them first and turn 4-0 this year. Saw them here in Aus and were amazing as always 🤘🏻

I love In Flames man... This band literally saved my head in a really bad time in my life.
Man, I caught the US Tour they just did twice - Tanner absolutely crushed it. SO stoked to see this video drop today! Unexpected surprise, instant watch
Thank you for staying true to the classics, and having fun along the way Tanner

Been vibin' with In Flames since I was kid, so cool to see a drummer like a Tanner take the reigns from Daniel Svensson.
Same, it's absolutely wild to see them continue to put out good music and perform at a high level after all these years.
Dudes awesome and going from chiodos to in flames is a level up
Played with SKSK too.
Finally some love for In Flames! Tanner is a killer drummer!
i saw them in Colombia last year! what a show! 100% recommended
Being a fan of the band since the late 90s and only finally seeing them on that tour last December, on the very last date, it was an absolute blast and Tanner KILLED IT!!!
This band is so good live.
Really dig the older In Flames and the rawness of it all. Glad to see that return.
exceptional band and drummer!
amazing drummer and of course the band. drumeo - you are the best
What good timing, literally just saw them last night.
My favorite drummer❤ tanner we love you
Drum brothers ... In Flames released some shockingly good music recently. Never give in. Always keeo the "Flame In" your heart burning.

Totally can relate and Wow - Love the honesty and passion this dude has . Killer interview Drumeo 🔥💪💯🤘
I effin' LOVED this! Well done Drumeo: finally Tanner gets some well deserved recognition!!! In Flames we trust \m/

Oh my god this guy sounds so good it's insane to me 🤯🤯🤯
In flames live is amazing.
Great video!! i miss Daniel a lot on IF but Tanner is a great drummer, he is not short on talent and paying tribute to old songs. Very solid!

Will the Blake Richardson video be uploaded? I missed it since timezones. The livestream is sadly privated now...
Caught a stick from Tanner during his first tour with In Flames. I keep it next to a Chris Broderick guitar pick on my hall table. Seen them every time they have come to Minnesota.
In Flames + Pendulum is still one of the greatest collabs ever imo!
Awesome Vid, Thanks for the look behind the Curtain In Flames / Drumeo, Was sick seeing these guys down under last year (2023) for the Knotfest Sydney Show :)
Im a guitarist and absolutely love watching the drumeo videos
Tanner is great!
Love In Flames! Tanner really got Daniel Svenssons Drumparts down. Love his new versions and his creativity!

Master of the Drums Tanner 🤘🔥🥁
i still want he demonstrates some song from the iconic The Jesster Race album.

pretty awesome for a "fake it till you make it" attitude

Never heard of him before this BUT FUQ he's good!
I've known of Taylor since he was in Underminded. I had some connections to that band and have only ever heard good things about the man.
Cheers 🥂.
Liam rules :) pls give him the props he deserves.
Excelente baterista!!!!👍👍🔥🔥
Great video!!❤❤
More Tanner drumming, please.
PERFEKT!!!!
Probably the best live band out there!
That was sick. ❤
I appreciate him thinking of the old school fans who love the original music. I think Daniel's parts were so smart and always played to the song really well.
Grew up listening to inflames... Gothenburg was fire back then. I don't recognize most
Um salve do Brasil pra vcs 🇧🇷
Do you know what samples he used on his TD-17? Sounded great!
4 kick drums = 3 backups 😜
Where did the Blake Richardson video go?
Me and Tanner have a lot of things in common. Well, maybe not a lot.... but we both put the headphones on the high hat
Was this in Montréal?!? 😜😜 my Best show last year
So nice 🔥⚔️
Awesome
Can we get a track listing from this?
Good job!
Flame and unique powerful and is ghost killer.
