I’m glad I found your channel! I was a huge fan of Baltic Supras channel, but for whatever reason, he stopped posting content. Been in withdrawal ever since, until now. I really dig your enthusiasm with your Supra project. That idea of adding a centrifugal supercharger to your set up has me on the edge of my seat. I’ve been waiting for someone to do that to a turbocharged 2JZ. I found one guy a long time ago that did it. I think he was from the Oceania region (SW Pacific) of planet Earth, if I recall correctly? I think there is some unbelievable potential for either a centrifugal supercharger, or an electric supercharger/turbo to really affectively eliminate boost lag in the 2JZ. Subscribed!
Thanks for watching & subscribing! Ive always been a fan of compound turbos / compressors - I think a centri would add the right amount if noise and response... ...we'll find out 😎
That "Jalopy" is still probably going for $150K 🤣🤣🤣 I randomly thought about buying one earlier this year so I looked around and the prices are out of control 😭Cool channel, I'm glad I stumbled on to you guys!
Prices have came down a bit over the past 6 or 7 month - I got this one for a very good price a few years back; it was sitting in someone's backyard for 10+ years and didnt run. Thanks for subscribing 🤘😎
Watched the whole video this morning. Very impressive with suspension and weight. I spent a lot of time on suspension and it’s pretty noticeable in comparison with your 60’ and 660. Look forward to how far you take it.
@@boostedgringo5885 yea our 60ft definately needs improvement. A decent set of shocks, uca's, and bushings and itd be a lot quicker out of of the hole. Im pulling a ton of timing for the first 60ft or so to get it leave decent and not nuke the diff. Will be interesting to see what we can do this year - possible 8.8 in the future
If your buying a supra nothings cheap about it, upwards of $60-$100k for a good one, but that’s crazy tho never thought stock internals on a car would be able to pull a 8 second pass without blowing something up
Also I forgot to ask. when you did the ARP main studs, did you guys have to line hone the main caps? Or were you able to install them without doing that? Iknow there’s mixed opinions on that. Thanks
@@Soomacok I wouldnt recommend doing what I did. I know Im on borrowed time - the crankshaft has never been out of the engine. Ill pulled the main cap bolts one-by-one and replaced them with studs. Its not balanced (inline 6 cyl engine have some balamce cancellation like two opposing inline 3 cylinder engine, but it really need to be balanced). With studs, it SHOULD be align honed if changing to studs - at that point, billet mains are a few hundred more. This was more to see what it would handle. I dont really expect longevity out of this engine, and will most likely be building a different shortblock for it in the near future
Awesome build! I love the fact that you spent money in the right places and were able to get into 8s! Very motivating!

Have to be very mindfull of peak torque / peak cylinder pressure. The eagle rods help tremendously, along with some tricks in the tuning to help
