Indeed. We taught ourselves and our kids that it's not normal to feel negative emotions. That it's bad. So when they do, they don't know what to do with it. So they either implode (suicide) or explode (paint the town red). I don't cry often unless I'm SUPER pissed and it's because I can't legally clock the crap out of someone making me that upset. So I find other outlets like this one.
I remember her saying in an old lets play that she isn't the type to cry about games because she is able to separate herself from the scenario. So it was really unexpected for me to see her cry at this. I'm glad too that she is able to open up and immerse herself into emotional scenes now.
This makes me happy to have family that doesn't mind me crying. Sure, my mom would say I'm silly to cry during a movie/game, but she's far from saying I shouldn't cry. Though in her defense, she usually sees me crying without context of the game/movie. Considering that, it's easy to see why her seeing me randomly cry can be silly.

When I played this game and when she died I ugly cried, my son hearing me thought something bad had happened through tears I pointed at the TV he looked at me and laughed! Then I showed him the clip and he was saddened by it! It's a beautiful game tho absolutely stunning!!

The intro gets me everytime. Getting so attached to comic characters in a matter of minutes was so masterfully done; never happened before and again for me.
That first part really got to me as well, I lost my father when I was 14, and now even at 40 scenes like that really get to me. This is an amazing game.

In this kind of game, the best strategy is to focus on resources collection. The first ability to unlock is the basic magnet (first ability of central branch), then point straight to the 4th ability in that branch to get the full magnet; this way, you won't lose a single collectible (avoiding issues like at 24:37), you'll get Ability Points faster and therefore raise your combat and movement/defense skills faster!
This game looks so stunning, and it's such an amazing story, I'm sad I missed the stream, but I just got promoted at my job and should be able to catch your streams now with the schedule changes!

I remember watching Sean play this one, years ago. It also made him sad but I did not remember him tearing up, so I did not feel as sad about what happened. But now, watching you feel emotional about the opening sequence of the game, I was overcome with grief as well. I don't know, there's something about seeing you cry that makes me so emotional, too. Ori is such a beautiful game. It hits my heart parts in such a painfully yet soft way. Definitely shed far too many tears when I played this and all those feelings came rushing back watching this.

I never thought a game is able to make me cry until I saw a video of this game a few years ago...and two years later I saw Before Your Eyes....another game that is so sad.
I got so excited when I saw Ori pop up in my subscriptions, I always love seeing someone play this blind!
