Hey I know this an old video but have you figured out how to fix this issue? We just moved in last Thursday and noticed this right away in our kitchen.
Hello! Sadly, no. We asked the hvac company that installed it originally what we could do and they said the only option would be to replace the main unit for a much more expensive quieter one. I did try to line the vent with some sound-deadening foam used for keeping car cabins quiet. That seemed to help a minor amount, but honestly it wasn't even worth spending money on. Someday I'll have the hvac people back to ask about possibly re-routing the vent so the main return is in the basement instead of the living/kitchen area.
