Thank for this honest review Tommy. Your reasoning for the Tesla over the Ford is well thought out. IF I had to have an EV for the purpose of a life living experience, I suppose I would take the T over the F for the reasons you mentioned. However, to own an EV just for the experience of fun, the quality, looks and daily pleasure to drive would be the Ford. Thanks for your insights.

TFL, from my understanding most pre-production car all have DC charging issues, again you guys need to test a production car .. and from what I hear the production cars does not have any of the issues you noted .. best to get your hands on a production car ..
In a german test the Ford was among the fastest charging cars right up there with Audi and Porsche which are slightly faster than Tesla if they find the right charger. It seems the US does have worse fast charging (aside from Tesla obviously) than Europe. Strange. The network looks to be bigger but probably a little less modern as the US started building the network earlier.
@@sebastianschmid8261 don’t know where you got this information however Ford stated they will push out OTA better charging curve for all Mach E no matter the location, the chargers are not the issue.. Ford limited the charging speed .. so late this Summer we will all get the update.

I have a 2021 Mach-e standard range with single rear motor and it's giving me 288 miles per full charge. I drive 32 miles daily and my power percentage only drops 11% daily. I charge it up to 90% and plug it back at 34% 5 days later. It shows it is giving me 4.1 m/kwh. Temp has been around mid 60's I love my Mach-e
Thinking about buying a Mach E. If you charge at home, did you install a 240v outlet in your house? That's my plan and I'll be getting the Ford connected charging station
@@jonathonervin7845 I did install a 240V outlet since I already had a line going to my dryer. It was very easy to install. I did not buy the Ford charger, I use the charger that came with the car. It charges from 30% to 90% in less than 6hrs. My power company SDGE has a great EV plan. It has worked great! My electrical bill only went up about $5 a month! I only had to schedule my Mach-e to charge at the super off peak hours, so when I get home, I plug it in and the car starts to charge at the right time so I don't have to worry about anything.
They may have been playing with the touch keypad on that part of the door. Finger print magnet, but still a worthwhile feature. My only question is how to keep the car locked if you store your phone (as key) in the car itself. Is there a way to turn that off so that some random can't just walk up to the car and unlock it?
The Mach-E purchase process is super simple. All online. Took me all of about 15 minutes, including picking preferred dealer, picking options & getting credit approval. At this point, there is no dealer haggling. MSRP seems to be MSRP. Never stepped onto the dealer lot, much less went inside. Relied on numerous videos, including your excellent video reviews.
Bjorn Nyland also faced similar issues on Ionity chargers (European charging network owned by Ford+VW+Hyundai etc) during his 1000km test for Polestar 2...he said to plug in the charger & keep holding it till it pairs with the car..so probably for a 3-4 seconds...& then let go for charging to work....sometimes, the weight of the cable pulls down on the plug leading to a handshake failure... Never been to an Electrify America charger so I may be wrong...if you still have the car maybe try that to give Ford a fair chance.... Just like you guys I also recently got a large breed puppy & in the market for a new EV...thanks for making this video..I love everything about Mach E..especially in the other electric blue color...however, I don't like touchscreen infotainments...hence, glitchy/laggy infotainment is a deal-breaker....
The Nissan Leaf and Chevy Bolt are pretty normal cars. I haven’t driven a Kia or Hyundai but pretty sure they’re on the traditional side of things as well.
I wish Toyota would build us an 86 based EV small, light, nimble, simple sports car. This is the ultimate commuter car, we don't need a 5000lb cross over "ute" for commuting to work which lets face it, commuting is the #1 most practical thing to do with an EV today because the range sucks on them all as well as the charge times...even a Tesla is not fun to cross-country in.
What’s a 33k model 3? It’s an normal car. And it’s affordable compared to any decent electric car. If you want to go cheaper you can find a Nissan Leaf, but the range on those is a little light for some.
@@4literv6 is still better than Tesla. Did you see the videos of all the problems Roman had to fix his first Tesla after tommy accidentally hit the rear bumper?
@@zacariaspiedrasdelrio8984 that fact remains to be seen, and only about 20k of these are even slated to be available in the U.S. this year. They are selling the rest overseas to get the emissions credits instead of paying the fines.
But in the end you're purchasing a car. What ends up being the most important the interior comfort quality exterior quality build quality fit and finish or a few technical bugs? I think that ultimately is what you have to decide. Especially considering the technical bugs could be worked out in the future whereas if you've got a poorly built Tesla that creaks and rattles and squeaks it will always do that it's not something they can fix with an over the air update.
@@kens97sto171 I agree.. I would take the Mach e over a poorly built Tesla any day. I can live with a slightly laggy touch screen because I know it can be fixed via software but I will not buy a poorly built car even if it comes with free self driving and can fart..
I believe the frunk dividers have to do with the volume allowed before they have to have an internal release. (I.e., If a person can fit in there, there has to be an internal release handle.)
great review Tommy, but I think there are a couple things you didn't consider when comparing to the model y. At a base model the Mustang is about $5,000 less, and with the tax credit it's about $12,500 less. That's a huge difference that could make it affordable to a lot more people. Also the purchase, parts, service, and warranty, with the mach e, one can just go to the local Ford shop. Not so easily done with the Tesla. And the charging Network will expand and get better, but most charging will most likely be done at home so that probably won't be a long-term issue. Other reviewers I've seen on TH-cam don't seem to have a problem except for the 150 KW charging rate. And now that airplane steering wheel and no XM radio in the model y are pretty much deal breakers for me unfortunately. I'm ordering a mach e4 on Monday
Because you let your father talk you into a stupid unnecessary 15 minute race to charge when he has the more expensive vehicle with more range added. The Ford is analyzing the charging stream to ensure maximum life of your battery pack before it starts accepting the charge.
Yes! That whole charging race was so cringe worthy! His father didn't even preheat the battery... Adænd they didn't preheat the MME for charging... Both are total amateurs with EV's...
A Mustang crossover can't be a Mustang but a Cadillac SUV is still a Caddy??? I feel bad for those who bought a Chevy Blazer and came home with a crossover SUV.
Pessimistic range calculation is a good thing. My 500e is very optimistic on range but you really don't want to be in a situation where you thought you had enough range but end up a mile short. Much better to have more range than you expected than to end up with less.
@@darrengriffith9680 Haha yeah, I had a 2015 and now a 2017 and they both have that problem. Once you get to around 25% it drops 10-15% in a couple minutes. It was super alarming the first time it happened lol but now I just treat 25% battery as 15%.
Many people have told me that Ford ordered oil drain plugs by mistake. Not to waste them, Ford installed them on the frunk :) Great review of a great EV.
Ok so..... - It's cheaper then the y - It looks a hell of a lot nicer in side and out then the y - Out of 25 videos I watched he is the only one that said the the model y drives better so I definitely can't take his word for it. Obviously he has a different driving style then 98% of the population. - As he said the extra range and charging on the road doesn't concern 95% of people. I see that with my own eyes 9 times out of 10 I drive by a tesla supercharger station it's empty. To me that's a BIG win for Ford. Great video thanks for the information that really matters in every day life.
Great review, I’m actually buying an electric car in March and I think I’m going with the Model 3 Performance because of the network. But I do like the looks of the Mach E better 👍👍👍
You have the SR model with smaller battery so DC fast charging is slower, I think 100kw vs 150. And its quite normal to have your supercharging speed cut in half in cold weather. You said you had problems with the infotainment with lag and things not activating but then you press heated seats and the slider instantly appears and works just fine. So what exactly was the problem there? You seem REALLY disappointed but it appears to work totally fine? I think if you had the LR version in the summertime you'd give a completely different review of exactly the same car. Oh, and no plug and charge. Um, did you have an account in your name with a billing method on file? Because if not, how would it bill you for plug and charge?
Also, why does everyone harp about "the dealership experience"? Anytime a salesman bothers me I just tell them to go away - I'll come get you if I have any questions. Problem solved. And you can actually INSPECT a vehicle before you buy it. Something you'd really want to do if you're buying a Tesla. Show up with a little knowledge and you can really squeeze a dealership for some real savings.
I was also scratching my head over the buying process comparison, but because I ordered my Mach-e online, without ever going near a dealership, and it was literally like a 5 step process. Not sure how it could have been easier.
I love customers like you, if someone comes on my lot and tells me to "go away" I'll just keep following you until you either leave or feel uncomfortable. I'm not telling you hot to do your job, so you don't tell me how to do mine.
@@BGBATKA lol sounds like you would get fired quickly if i was the boss why would you follow someone around trying to potentially buy something after they said go away they don’t need any help and ontop of that make them uncomfortable because you don’t like what they said smh you are the problem these day’s
I've never spent less than 2 hours at a dealership when purchasing a car. At Tesla, once your car is ready, in-and-out in 15 minutes. No sleezy finance guy or sales manager trying to sell you a bunch crap when signing the paperwork. Completely stress free.
That’s why I enjoy buying cars at CARMAX. I can walk in their lot and just enjoy looking at different vehicles for a whole day and not be bothered by a salesman. Even my 8 year-old enjoys it.
A couple of things that you got wrong: 1. The extended range battery option gives a lot more than just more range: -- Better performance: 80 more horsepower that keeps the acceleration pushing past sixty. and improves the 0 to 60 time by almost a half second, (4.8 seconds). -- Faster Charging: Only the Ford Mustang Mach-E Extended Range models are capable of ultra-rapid charging at up to 150 kW DC. The Standard Range models only have 110 kW DC chargers. 2. The buying process: It is a different process with the Mach-E; while you can go into the dealer and do the negotiation thing, why would you want to? Instead, with the Mach-E, you just go onto Ford's website, configure your car, (Select or Premium; 4wd or 2wd; standard battery or long-range battery; pick your color) and you get your price. If you choose to order one, you are asked to put down a deposit using a credit card. and that is it. You do have to pick a dealer, but that is more for delivery location.
The color is hideous . But I’m with the prior guy. This a mustang is not . Or as Tommy used to say it’s not brilliant . By the way thanks for no longer abusing “brilliant” Tommy . Makes you way more awesome to hear ! Like dad your growing awesomely into the job !
i think there is a level of support from a dealership that is overlooked when considering a tesla. I had to lemon my model 3, was reliant on uber credits from Tesla for over a month bc tesla didn't have a loaner car. Tesla is always backlogged with repairs and slow to get replacement parts in. I put in an order for a mach-e.
having a massive servicing dealership network like Ford is everything. These ev's are packed with so much tech that issues are going to arise in almost all of them.
I disagree...the buggy onboard tech seems like a big issue and a disappointing upgrade from Sync 3 - seems like the software isn’t ready for prime time.
@@multivisao maybe he need to clear the grease from his fingers and from the screen? I've seen several reviews and there was no real lag with the touchscreen.
Seems like most reviews compare a mature product (Tesla) to a new kid on the block and its a close race. Give Ford some time and the charging network to mature and then we will see how they stack up. For me charging network is not an issue as I have a level 2 charger in the garage and when I road trip I rent cars as I don't like the excess wear. Unless I'm going off road or pulling a trailer which is a different vehicle altogether. Just my 2 cents. Great videos. Love your channel
So, dumb question, but did you actually register the car with your charge payment tech thing? And also, lithium chemistry batteries can be damaged when charging them in low/freezing temps. I think the car is throttling your charge KW because of this.
Yes, I like the looks better and assuming better build quality as well. The charging network is a fail. I suppose once more non-Tesla EVs are sold the hacks that install these charging networks might care to manage them properly if it means they might lose a penny by not doing so (it won't happen otherwise).
The other questions is ; if you need to get the car repaired because of an accident or mishap ; would you rather have a Tesla or a Ford with a dealership and spare parts?
I tend to agree with you on things but come on Tommy, you're driving a fully electric car and worried about the milliseconds a slider lags behind your finger? I'm guessing you're one of those people who loses their mind when the wifi signal lags for a few seconds. Calm down, it'll be okay. I'm sure there will be many software updates. None of that is a static feature.
California started charging 120- 175 extra bucks every year on your car registration on ev cars as of July 2020. Maybe if u get the mustang e. Just leave out the e and call it a mustang and you will save thousands of dollars.
Uhh the dmv will know. It's in the vin. The vin tells you alot of info about the car like model, country, and were it was built. Sometimes it will tell you engine options or trim levels. But yeah dmv will know it's an electric vehicle just by you giving them the vin. Also note if you tried to use a mustang car vin or swap the model code you may get a car that can't exist and then no plates for you.
Really? Tommy Sounds more youthful than me and I’m at the tail end of genX. Thank you for this review however can you do it again have it on the road, hearing road noise see body roll, see ergonomics of getting in and out both the front and rear seats let’s see it in action. The sink system didn’t seem to lag so much for Doug DeMuro is this a cold climate issue? Still not excusing it it’s a bit disappointing and I’m a Ford fan I want to see this outshine Tesla.
If you used this mostly locally you would not have to worry about the charging because you could charge it at home. I would have this for local driving and gas rig for travel. I think that the build quality is superior to the Model Y and would be better in the long run. Time will tell. Nice review.
Yes, he defeated his own argument. He stated this would not be an ideal vehicle to road trip. If the primary use is as a city vehicle that means the majority of charging would take place at home. In that case, the charger network becomes a minimal issue.
I have hope for the center sync 4 system since the system in the f150 is way more responsive. I’m assuming that the underlying hardware is similar between both sync 4 systems, so it would make sense that a future update could drastically improve the responsiveness on the Mach e.
Early on he stated this would not be an ideal vehicle to road trip. If it's drivem primarily in the city the majority of charging would take place at home. In that case the charger network becomes a minimal issue.
A brand's fans or anti-fans should NEVER be part of the discussion when reviewing a product, IMHO. Imagine referencing Ferrari's fans or CEO when talking about the next Lambo. Either the car has its merits or not. It's OK to like Tesla if you do.
I'm glad to hear the seats are comfortable. Ford really does make a great seat these days. My 2016 mustang is one of the best I've experienced. Not like the mustang's of 80s and 90s.
What I hate about the Mach-E is how much battery range is depleted by using the heater. A 3 mile commute to work uses 20 miles of range if the heater is on. I live in the SF Bay Area. I can't imagine having a Mach-E if I lived in an area that really got cold in the winter.
As a Canadian it's so nice someone reviewing EV's who lives in a cold climate. Too many manufactures are making RWD only EV's and/or charging a damn arm and a leg to go up to AWD (like Ford is) Anyone who's tried to drive RWD in snow and ice can surely attest to how terrible they are in our climates. And too many reviewers just gloss over the massive range loss you take in -20c weather. My daily commute is 60km one way, so that's 120km a day - and knowing you should really only be charging a battery to 80% and also the 30% loss you take in the cold - I'd really be cutting it close way too much.
is that 150 kw charging rate only for the top battery models or did Ford specifically say it was for this standard battery? I'm gonna guess that the battery was too cold to charge fast every time you tried to charge because 46 kw is really low... Just have to wait for Bjorn Nyland to test it
Yes TFL are EV amateurs, I've seen the MME charge with 138kW in Norwegian winter conditions already, but they actually used a working charging station, preheated the battery and drove the car hard all the way down to 10%
First person I have heard to comment on lag from the tablet. Interesting thing I have noticed is that ranges claimed in Europe are higher I believe it is 248miles for this vehicle, but the models are also differently marketed if essentially the same car.
I noticed that too but cannot work out how the RWD extended in Europe is 379 miles and only 314 miles in US, same battery size etc.....also most american reviews skimp over the suspension /ride comfort but in Europe most reviews make a point of saying not the most comfortable ride and suspension could be better ( excluding GT )
If you don’t like the name, just change the badges on the car to Ford, and tell the people who don’t know anything about cars (which is a lot of people) that it’s a Ford Mach-e, and say “they did call it a Mustang for a couple months, but they recalled it and now it’s just a Mach-E :)” just sayin. 😂
I see Ford renaming this vehicle real soon. As soon as the pre-orders are fulfilled and nobody has any interest in it anymore and sales plummet, they'll get on that rebranding real fast.
It’s interesting that Tommy is not impressed by the handling. Other reviews I have watched, the reviewers have raved over how good the handling is and how it handles better than a Tesla. I know they have not all been reviewing the same spec Mach-E, so maybe handling is affected by which spec you are driving.
Tommy complained about the weight of the car but he and his dad had a Model X and Model S and both those cars are just as heavy as the Mach e. I wouldn't expect the Mach e to be a great handling car anyway, its not a high performance BMW M car.
Beautiful car and the colour is stunning, love the cream white interior, this would be how I would spec it ,same colour outside and inside it's perfect, definitely best looking ev out there and the Kia ev6 looks great too, I'd have either of them 👌💪👍🏴
Excellent and None biased commentary Tommy! Great Job. I hope Ford will take your feedback seriously and act upon it. I agree with you, FORD needs to either invest in or purchase Electrify America and improve the charging/charging network. As for your Dad, boy he tried so hard to make the MACH-E look bad lol
Thanks for the review...why didn’t you record the episodes with the charging so we could see it instead of you just walking around the car and telling us about it? Isn’t that the purpose of a TH-cam video? As for your fast charging, what rate were the chargers? There are 3 levels at most EA chargers...50, 150, and 350...if you fast charge at a 50kw, 46kw is reasonable....again, if you recorded it, we would have a better idea...Also, are you sure you have the faster on board charger in the vehicle you have? Maybe show us the specs? Having driven the car, I thought it was great compared to my Model 3 and my former Model Y. Loved the interior design. Unique and a nice change from piano black!! I was surprised how natural the door handle on the front and lack of door handle for the rear were. Excellent. While I found the touch screen excellent, I wished it would tilt towards the driver. My only disagreement is the seats. They are great except for the thigh support. I’m only 5’8” and found them lacking in thigh length and support. My Tesla seats are much better. I’m thinking all the issues you had were pre-production or early production issues. I didn’t have any of those issues. And YES to the steering wheel!!!! Yes, the range is pessimistic in my experience too...but, rather that than over estimate! Of course, accurate would be ideal. Drive modes only change throttle response and steering feel between Engage and Unbridled. Whisper will also affect the HVAC I believe. Not sure what you mean by you have to “apply” to get the tax credit. You just need to put it on your tax return and have a tax bill of at least $7,500 and you get it. No application needed. Having owned a Model Y, I would get the Mustang Mach E any day...it may just replace my Tesla model 3 later this year after all the bugs are worked out.
This will backfire on Ford worse than the Mustang II. This time, it won’t just be a Mustang sales collapse, but the entire line. Personally we planned to get a 2021 King Ranch in July. Our last three Ram and Dodge vehicles have eaten center displays like candy, but I guess we will roll the dice on a Ram again. Pimping the Mustang name is just unacceptable.
Good, way to have principles, Ford needs to pay dearly for this. Beyond just this car flopping they need to see people buying competitors products in other product lines too.
@@spursdynasty7378 Just because it could've had a terrible name doesnt mean they couldn't have possibly come up with a better name. I think it's kinda lame that they thought they needed to prop up their new product with some name recognition when it should've been able to stand on its own merits. They could call it the Turd but if it's good enough people will buy it.
First of all what does an electric car getting to 11000ft have to do with AWD? Tommy you’re really doing yourself a disservice as an automotive journalist when you say you won’t road trip an electric vehicle. (5.40) I really enjoyed the rest of the review!

I've been driving a Chevy Volt with an 18.4 KWH battery for 5 years now. Have a 240 V/30 A "level 2" charge system. Battery goes from empty to full charge in under 5 hours. Depending on how I drive and where I drive, I typically get between 3 and 4 miles per KWH or about 50 - 55 miles on a full charge. Base level Mach-E battery is 68 KWH. So a full 211 mile charge should take about 15 hours on my 240/30 home level 2 charger. There are higher power output/faster home chargers available. Probably require special home wiring, in many cases.
The main screen looks like a knee killer to me. That bottom left corner is going to irritate the crap out of a lot of taller drivers. Great video Tommy.
Does that 15.5 inch display show an animation of the vehicle and any vehicle in front of and in the same lane, and vehicles adjacent to it like the Tesla does?
Well it is a rather large crossover full of electric fixings, batteries etc, I'd be surprised if it was under 4500lbs honestly. But as a day to day commuter I think it's beautiful actually. Great design, looks very comfortable, and good range. You don't need to sling it around corners. It's not a Miata or a Mini, it's a big ol American electric crossover.
EVs don't just compete with EVs but other cars as well. If you can't take a car on a road trip or longer commute beyond 200 miles without difficulty or inconvenience, it is an issue. Not everyone can just buy a second car. So is the laggy infotainment screen which is the main way to use almost anything on the car. The pessimistic range of 78 miles being 80% of a supposedly 200 mile range isn't good, especially in the cold. It also means the battery will likely degrade faster since it's more likely to run down more than say the Tesla; frequent charging at a lower level tends to wear down batteries prematurely. The car also doesn't drive as well or as enjoyably as the Tesla. He said plenty about the car beyond the charger network, which itself is not nothing. The car also has virtually no towing capacity or ground clearance, which he didn't mention, so it does neither SUV things well nor Mustang things well...
Mustang is Ford's new performance brand, which will have the clasic coupe, this suv, and others similarly, Bronco is the off-road brand, containing a bunhc of models
I'd be cool with that. Do you mean the Mustang would be an economical performance brand, and Shelby would be their high-performance partner? I think that would make sense because that is the purpose of the original Mustang. A cheap and fun car with moderate power.
Ford's globalization of the mustang name. The explorer platform will be used as the platform for the next-generation mustang. Witch WON'T be a mustang at all any more.

I'm really thankful for your reviews on this car. It was really unbiased. There was such a media push for this thing and it just does not look like it's going to live up to the hype. These things will need discounts to sell after the first year just like the bolts did.
3:43 - I just love all the greasy prints on the black of the door.
He can't find the hole lol
They may have been playing with the touch keypad on that part of the door. Finger print magnet, but still a worthwhile feature. My only question is how to keep the car locked if you store your phone (as key) in the car itself. Is there a way to turn that off so that some random can't just walk up to the car and unlock it?
Even tho Sync 4 is kinda laggy, they can potentially fix that through updates because the Mach E can update over the air.
Why can’t companies just make a “normal” electric car that’s affordable and doesn’t have a bunch of dumb over engineered gimmicks
Cause then they couldn't over hype and over price it
The Nissan Leaf and Chevy Bolt are pretty normal cars.
It’s because it’s a new technology and it costs a lot to design and develop one.
Having and authorized Ford dealer for services is a plus
Not as big a deal as one might think. Currently well under 60% of ford dealers support selling ford evs. 🤔

Tesla used to work with Toyota with the electric RAV4. Tesla and Toyota, yummy

I agree..
There is a escape button in the frunk though even has a little guy running away and everything
great review Tommy, but I think there are a couple things you didn't consider when comparing to the model y.
Software can be refined with OTA updates. It's their first serious EV attempt. Glad they got the hardware right.
Leave your laptop or tablet in the car overnight in sub freezing temps and see how well it responds and charges in the morning. Not so well either.
Ford should have named it something else. Calling this a Mustang is totally stupid.

Pessimistic range calculation is a good thing. My 500e is very optimistic on range but you really don't want to be in a situation where you thought you had enough range but end up a mile short. Much better to have more range than you expected than to end up with less.
I used to have a 500e and it dropped like a stone when the battery got under 25%. You could literally watch the range estimate go down lol.
@@darrengriffith9680 Haha yeah, I had a 2015 and now a 2017 and they both have that problem. Once you get to around 25% it drops 10-15% in a couple minutes. It was super alarming the first time it happened lol but now I just treat 25% battery as 15%.

Great job Tommy. Can always trust your reviews. AND you're not annoying like everyone else. Awesome!
Ok so.....
- It's cheaper then the y
- It looks a hell of a lot nicer in side and out then the y
- Out of 25 videos I watched he is the only one that said the the model y drives better so I definitely can't take his word for it. Obviously he has a different driving style then 98% of the population.
- As he said the extra range and charging on the road doesn't concern 95% of people. I see that with my own eyes 9 times out of 10 I drive by a tesla supercharger station it's empty.
To me that's a BIG win for Ford.
Great video thanks for the information that really matters in every day life.
overall very thoughtful review and good focus on daily experience. thanks again for good content tfl.
Great review, I’m actually buying an electric car in March and I think I’m going with the Model 3 Performance because of the network. But I do like the looks of the Mach E better 👍👍👍
The plug and charge may be equipped on the vehicle, but are the actual chargers equipped to do that? Not likely yet.
Plug and charge works on electrify America only. The other companies haven’t enabled it yet. See inside evs Tom malaugney video
Even my 8 year-old enjoys it.
good job Tommy. I liked they way you did this episode. Felt very balanced. Keep it up.
A couple of things that you got wrong:
1. The extended range battery option gives a lot more than just more range:
-- Better performance: 80 more horsepower that keeps the acceleration pushing past sixty. and improves the 0 to 60 time by almost a half second, (4.8 seconds).
You do have to pick a dealer, but that is more for delivery location.

i think there is a level of support from a dealership that is overlooked when considering a tesla. I had to lemon my model 3, was reliant on uber credits from Tesla for over a month bc tesla didn't have a loaner car. Tesla is always backlogged with repairs and slow to get replacement parts in. I put in an order for a mach-e.

A really nice video, I’m glade to hear your comments! But why don’t you take the Mach E to a scale and get the actual weight?
So, dumb question, but did you actually register the car with your charge payment tech thing?
And also, lithium chemistry batteries can be damaged when charging them in low/freezing temps. I think the car is throttling your charge KW because of this.
Eric I agree
I own the Rav 4 Prime and at low temp it delays charging until the battery warms up
I really like it better then a Tesla.
Yes, I like the looks better and assuming better build quality as well. The charging network is a fail. I suppose once more non-Tesla EVs are sold the hacks that install these charging networks might care to manage them properly if it means they might lose a penny by not doing so (it won't happen otherwise).
It’s ugly and the Tesla surpassed it.
If this is the definition of frustration, someone has a better life than I do.
The other questions is ; if you need to get the car repaired because of an accident or mishap ; would you rather have a Tesla or a Ford with a dealership and spare parts?
Ask any Tesla owner, Tesla sucks with repairs but then initial quality isn't that good either.

Hello! Fancy seeing you here. Looking forward to you getting yours and seeing your version of this video.
Best Buy is RWD extended Battery! If you want more get a 5 KW Honda generator and a receiver hitch with cargo platform and take the charger with you!
Love Ford Mustang Mach-E
Love the instrument cluster (small screen) nice to have the battery percentage always shown (are you listening Kia - 2020 Soul EV 64KW)!
is that 150 kw charging rate only for the top battery models or did Ford specifically say it was for this standard battery?

@@jaybeemhardscrote7466 right!! Seems plausible 😂

Tommy wants a percentage hud like an iPhone. Let’s do it.
With the whole plug-and-charge thing, it needs to have a charger that supports that technology. It's really that simple.
it’s a great looking car, love that color
Hoping these charging issues are now fixed with software updates?
211 miles is pro? This started out strange
that's Tesla's real world mileage as well. Pay attention.
@@RH-rg6il it's not on my model though. I've gone way over the quoted mileage on my Long Range Model 3
Do the rear seats recline?
They will sort out the charging network issues.
This dude is definitely not an EV owner. Also the review was supposed to be about the car not the charging network.
Mustang is Ford's new performance brand, which will have the clasic coupe, this suv, and others
similarly, Bronco is the off-road brand, containing a bunhc of models
I'd be cool with that. Do you mean the Mustang would be an economical performance brand, and Shelby would be their high-performance partner? I think that would make sense because that is the purpose of the original Mustang. A cheap and fun car with moderate power.
Ford's globalization of the mustang name. The explorer platform will be used as the platform for the next-generation mustang. Witch WON'T be a mustang at all any more.
@@Sea_Shanty it won't be cool.
@@user-uj5zc6vx2k wasn’t the mustang just a cheap semi sporty car in 1964? It kinda seems like that’s what this is. It’s a sporty looking SUV with decent performance that has a low price tag for younger buyers (at least for an electric car hahaha) it seems like it fits the mustang perfectly in my opinion
@@Sea_Shanty Pretty much you could get it with a economical (for the day) inline 6 or the 289 V8. High performance models came out as its populairty exploded from day 1
First off, No more Ford Reviews from Daddy, and Jr.. Since you guys got your feelings hurt from them, your reviews on Ford products are completely different from before that happened. I have a Family member who traded there leased Tesla in for the Mach E, and he, and his wife absolutely love the car! They have explained the quality all around is just a much better vehicle. They live in North Carolina so maybe that is why they haven't experienced any of the quirks you are describing.. Hope you guys have a Great New Years!
