Any 2005 or later V8 and all V6 models in this age range have TWO camshaft position sensors (CMP/VVT). You omitted one. Would love to see this video redone and re-uploaded to include both, especially since the driver side one requires being careful with the coolant hose (can be clamped so you don't have to drain the coolant). I've done this once before on my 2007 V6 and it isn't bad.
I have the same exact VVT-i 4.0L motor on my 2006 Toyota Tundra Truck. Looks like the camshaft sensor is also in the same location and looks like the one shown.
I have 06 4 Runner V6 - Would bad cam shaft sensor cause intermittent engine shut off at highway speed but no codes thrown? That is what is happening to me. Everything shuts off and then comes back to life with key still on.
Hey , when I google the location for the camshaft sensor for 2005 4.0 v6 , It shows me location on the lower left under the belt , but in this video is on the top right? Where is it located on 2005 model?
