    We have been taught wrongly in America. I will never participate in an Easter or Christmas celebration for as long as I live. Very difficult to explain to my grandchildren who have been taught about Easter bunny, egg hunts and candy, that granny can't do this pagan ritual anymore and I no longer approve of them participating, I believe it offends our Heavenly Father. I have Repented and for my family.

      I was the same wrong teaching but now it's 13 years now I don't celebrate all these pagan things. I praise God for opening my spiritual eyes and my heart.
      Bless

    My Wife's church celebrated easter by getting up early and going to eat all kinds of pork. And she thinks I am deceived.

    A thought came to me recently-- how can a holiday be "christian" if non-believers celebrate it? Most of my family members are non-believers who celebrate christmas and easter, which instills more concrete evidence that those holidays are not biblical.

      @Essy Comfort read Deuteronomy 12:30-32. That should explain why we dont celebrate Christmas and Easter in the same manner with the trees and bunnies. You can be thankful for Jesus Christ birth, death, and resurrection just not celebrate in the same manner as the pagans celebrate their gods. I hope this helps.

      Christmas is not pagan. It began as a celebration of the birth of our Lord long before any pagan use. The only indication of pagan use is found in a pagan calandar and it is not even clear what the date was marked for. There is NO indication that it was used to celebrate the birth of any false god

      Ezekiel's Call keep lying to the kiddos then, Christmas is idolatry that uses pagan themes, symbols, ideas to celebrate a mythical made up day that Jesus never, ever, ever kept. I bet you didn’t know that Christians have in fact fought against Christmas since it’s conception. I bet you didn’t know that Christians have outlawed it. But again keep lying to your children.

    The problem with the whole easter thing is the Shepard's aren't teaching passover.
    This year I kept the passover..
    My family thought it was a little strange because we aren't "Jewish", but they were intrigued and celebrated under my direction. They were happy. I am passenate about the Torah and everything that belongs to YHVH. If we are to keep the 7 feast He commanded that is what I do.

    Totally agree. Often I find it hard to fit whitin American Christianity where I found some even defending Halloween or Harvest as an innocent celebration for children.
    Also the week of Jesus death and resurrection was always referred as the Passover week with no rabbits nor chickens, but an empty tumb and a cross.

    FYI I'm Catholic, and my Catholic Church has never kicked anyone out for having Jewish friends. Segregation is wrong. I feel more segregated and excluded my by Jewish friends, while all people are welcome at my table. I'm celebrating both Passover and Easter on the same day.
    I suggested coloring eggs as a fun activity for children and adults for fun. I'll be eating by the Kosher rules of Passover, but my Jewish friends aren't friendly just to color eggs. I'm not asking them to pay my way, but they are asking me to observe the Jewish faith, while throwing away my own fun family traditions.
    I would like feedback on this, please. Thank you

    Brother Paul, is there any way for me to be circumcised when I can't afford the hospital? The local mohel told me he doesn't circumcise adults.

    • @inaayabintmusab9612
      @inaayabintmusab9612 7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Shop around for another doctor. It does not have to be a mohel. Abraham was not a mohel..nor Joshua. It does not have to be a hospital. It can be an out-patient surgical center. Try area urologists. Since it also involves health reasons - maybe insurance will pay.

    • @imagomonkei
      @imagomonkei 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Outdoors Man I know Paul made it abundantly clear that circumcision doesn't save us. But Abraham was walking in covenant with Yah for 30 years before he was circumcised. While it isn't necessary to be saved, neither is keeping any other command. Yet I want to obey because of the joy I have in Yeshua-Yah's salvation.

      the circumsion is now of the Heart .. pure and Holiy living of the heart it was in the flesh that they were curcumsion during the law . it is a spiritual circumcise of the Heart you need today.

      @inaayabintmusab9612 7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      We need both. We are not just a spirit nor just a body. We are spiritual beings having a physical experience. The covenant of circumcision is perpetual. HaShem does not lie neither can we change His words. It was always of the heart as well as the flesh.

    • @imagomonkei
      @imagomonkei 7 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      christina lopez The context of Paul's instruction is not eating in a situation of friendship and worship. This is only for self-professed believers who live like Gentiles. If you eat together and ignore their sin, you're complicit in it.
      Here's a personal example: if I go out to eat with a Christian friend, I make a point in saying I don't eat pork. I wear my tzitziyot. I always try to ask about their walk with Messiah. I steer the conversation in that direction.
      I have one friend who is there in his head but not quite in his heart. I have great hope for him. He knows the truth, but he is still wrestling with it. So I use those opportunities to encourage him.
      But I also had a Christian friend who came out as gay after high school. While I still loved him as a brother, we could no longer fellowship together. His mind was on wicked things constantly, while I was trying to follow Christ.

    Circumcision was instituted before pesakh. It involves our health. Women married to circumcised men have less risk of uterine cervical cancer. Circumcised men have less risk for hiv infection. Besides, it is forbidden for the uncircumcised to observe passover. Remember the incident where Moses was almost killed because he had not circumcised one of his sons. Tsipporah had to perform an emergency circumcision as a result..." exodus 4;25 Then Zipporah took a flint, and cut off the foreskin of her son, and cast it at his feet;.."...כה וַתִּקַּח צִפֹּרָה צֹר, וַתִּכְרֹת אֶת-עָרְלַת בְּנָהּ, וַתַּגַּע, לְרַגְלָיו; וַתֹּאמֶר, כִּי חֲתַן-דָּמִים אַתָּה לִי.

      We also cut the umbilical cord right after we are born..that also is necessary in the womb only. It's not only the hiv infection. The area stays dark and moist with the foreskin intact creating the perfect environment for infection.

  • @EzekielsCall
    @EzekielsCall 5 ปีที่แล้ว

    The problem of "Easter" is that the celebration of the Birth of the Lord got mixed with the celebration of pagans probably when pagans converted and certain leaders in the "church" who cared more about power and an earthly Kingdom decided not to press the issue and also began to outlaw the Hebrew feast days. So they allowed the adoption or should I say "transition" of pagan "Easter" worship of the false goddess into a worship of Jesus/Yeshua, but they left the pagan trappings. In this way "Easter" became a mixture of worship of God along with pagan practice and name. God detests the mixture of pagan worship and practices with worship of Himself, which is affirmed over and over again in the Old Covenant writings. Sadly, the term "Easter" had been used for thousands of years, and once made it into a translation of the KJV... thankfully it has been discovered and I hope most ppl have corrected their KJV to read Passover in that place.. because that is what the word in the Greek says.. pesach, ie passover.
    Christmas, which many bemoan here, was used by Christians long before it was ever used by pagans. It was found in a pagan calendar but no one even knows what it was for. There is no record of a pagan deity with a birth date on December 25, and that date was not celebrated by pagans as a god's birth date that we can find.

  • @inaayabintmusab9612
    @inaayabintmusab9612 7 ปีที่แล้ว

    Paul was circumcised and he circumcised Timothy. James said in Acts 15;"19Wherefore my sentence is, that we trouble not them, which from among the Gentiles are turned to God: 20But that we write unto them, that they abstain from pollutions of idols, and from fornication, and from things strangled, and from blood. 21For Moses of old time hath in every city them that preach him, being read in the synagogues every sabbath day". Why would he mention that Moses teachings were spoken of each Shabbat? Are those teachings to be ignored? The 3 most important commandments for a new believer were taught ..not the entire 613...for a start. Anyway, a circumcision would not be meaningful if other precepts were not taught first. These first 3 requirements were so the new believers could get in the door.

    A most interesting coincidence between easter and passover this year. The Chinese satélite was part of a 7 nation space cooperation. Those are the seven heads of the red green dragon, China.
    The satélite is going to crash in an unknown location on the weekend of passover/easter. It will look like a third of the stars have fallen from the sky's if you witness it. Then the ensuing events from revelations will come to pass.
    Jesús did not eat leavened bread during passover so neither should you.

    This is why I hate to sometimes identify myself is a Christian, because Christianity was a religion which was made and ruled by Catholics, they were the first ones to interpret the Bible the way the majority of Christians do. However if you interpret the Bible in different ways then it states there is often misconceptions on which is truth or fallacy. So that's why I try to say I'm just a believer. Not Muslim, not Jewish, not Christian. However a believer.

    I appreciate your comments brother, however, we need to be very careful and not miss the Spirit of what the gospel / new covenant brings... Freedom in Christ - Gal 2:13 And the other Jews dissembled likewise with him; insomuch that Barnabas also was carried away with their dissimulation.
    Gal 2:14 But when I saw that they walked not uprightly according to the truth of the gospel, I said unto Peter before them all, If thou, being a Jew, livest after the manner of Gentiles, and not as do the Jews, why compellest thou the Gentiles to live as do the Jews? However I strongly agree we need to be on guard and not mix worship of Jehovah with pagan traditions.

      This is referring to extra biblical Jewish laws or Rabbinical traditions, not God’s commandments in the Torah. Peter warned us that Paul’s writings would be difficult to understand and that many people would get them confused, this is an example of that which Peter warned us.

I think you'll find Paul was talking about how Christians are free from being under the old covenant law for salvation, and was specifically talking about having to be circumcised to be saved, which was preached in the OT. But now the new covenant is here through the gospel of Christ, we are free from being under the OT law for salvation. Gal 2:3 But neither Titus, who was with me, being a Greek, was compelled to be circumcised:
      Gal 2:4 And that because of false brethren unawares brought in, who came in privily to spy out our liberty which we have in Christ Jesus, that they might bring us into bondage:
      Gal 2:5 To whom we gave place by subjection, no, not for an hour; that the truth of the gospel might continue with you. I urge you to STUDY the gospel of grace.

    Because of wrong teaching following the Roman but now some Christians are now coming to understand about what they're celebrating is totally wrong. I was one of them but in 2006 my spiritual eyes open and I praise Yahweh for opening my eyes and heart to know the truth about all the Feast of Yahweh. It's 13 years now since I learned the truth about all these pagan feast the Christians are celebrating. Since I joined the PFI Ministry in 2006, I learned the truth and now I'm so happy I don't celebrate those pagan celebration anymore.
    Shalom

    I don't think Christians should celebrate pagan Easter. Most of my family wouldn't agree. Being a gentile I don't have anyone to celebrate Passover with if I wanted to so I usually celebrate Resurrection Sunday instead of Easter. Jesus fulfilled all the feasts and the law, but if I were Messianic Jewish I would continue tradition at least with Passover, and Tabernacles to best of my ability. I believe the Bible says these two feasts will continue in the Millennium. The Commandments should be written on our hearts. Being sinners, we fall sometimes but repent and be forgiven. Another thing about Jesus, (Yeshuah) He was an Old Testament Jew required to be obedient to His death. It wasn't until the finished work on the cross that the dispensation changed from Mosaic law to Grace through faith in the NT. Soon that too will end.

    You said Saturday is the Sabbath but that's not true. Saturday is part of the Gregorian calendar. The Gregorian calender goes on and on and on, whereas, the biblical calendar is renewed with each new moon. That's why it's so hard to do correct. Society or this earthly kingdom, is run on the Gregorian calendar with no thought for the Creator's magnificent calendar.

    Circumcision of the flesh was for physical health and circumcision of the heart is for the spiritual health...
    As for being Israelites, from 70 AD to the present time, many do not know who their ancestors are... my suggestion is to take a DNA test.
    Also for anyone who partake to following the scriptures and believe in Yeshua/Jesus as the Messiah... then you are spiritually an Israelite

    I believe we shouldnt participate in christmas, Easter, Halloween, etc. But.... I have had to compromise,with my,wife,and allow us to,participate in them on,the condition we do not teach Santa Claus. Easter bunny. Etc. And that we act as righteously as we can on,those days. A day for God is still a day for God if you make,it,so. I would prefer they be done away with, but this is my struggle. I doubt I'm the only one though

    Christians are not to kill a lamb or eat mutton for passover as Christ was our sacrificed lamb.
    The Bible warns they will return to killing the lamb. The lamb was for Atonement of Sin. Christ paid for our sins.
    We are to keep Feast days; 1 Corinthians 5:7 & 8.
    Jesus said, "His people Are His Church and Our body IS A Temple".
    Keep God's Sabbath and God's Commandments.
    Jesus said, "My people perish for lack of knowledge".

    I believe Them are Excuses that many of us do (not having a temple) to not do Passover properly. Many people in Torah Life in these last days are giving many excuses to not do what He says do.
    Where is the emunah? (Faith,Fidelity)
    We are the temple!
    The people did passover before they had a temple. Yah did the first sacrifice in the very beginning and He did not build a temple first. The prophets even before Moses built their alters where they were at.
    Also over 40 yrs after Messiah died They were doing sacrifice even in Acts 20, Constantine changed the sabbath and Feast laws in the 300's and in the 1000 yr reign we will be doing sacrifice so why have they been stopped even to this day? It's still a shadow of what He did to become our peace offering. He did not do away with it. Either He did away with it ir He didn't and the Scriptures about us doing it in the 1000 yr reign is a lie because our Moshiach will be right there.
    Who said you can only do sacrifice or Passover only IF we have a temple?
    The Bible doesn't say you can't sacrifice unless you have a brick temple. Otherwise many were unrighteous for giving sacrifice, like Job and Abel.
    We indeed can continue in all He said from the very beginning and stop doing their traditions contrary to His Holiness....even their contrary traditions in the OT.
    The OT is filled with unrighteous tradition that Yah even allowed them to carry on, just like He does today but they and we have consequences.
    The written word is for our example by seeing the horrific separations and wickedness and consequence, they are also for an example of righteousness and blessings according to their righteous actions.
    The Messiah said to go prepare "Passover" not communion and not easter. Easter is the word Passover and His appointed days of Lev 23 are His plan of Salvation and marriage covenant. It's His 1st and 2nd coming.
    REPENTANCE, or having clean alters bring us to these Holy times of Yah of Lev 23.
    Without repentance first and foremost then the feasts won't become yours...as His bride.
    Our Messiah is Judah and Levite. We are Levites through Him, our High HaGadol.
    Note: The day is from evening to evening and He did Passover after sunset and dies before the next sunset...same day!
    And a day is actually 2 Gregorian days on the pagan calendar.
    When counting Hebrew days the pagan calendar has to be washed away from our brain completely.
    I'm studying and it looks that Even the months start fresh not continuos like a pagan calendar where months run into eachother and not perfect 30 days like torah says.
    Why would they ask when Sabbath will be over if it was just one day at the beginning of the month?........especially If the month ends with a sabbath and is still sabbath til a (crescent, new) kadosh moon....since the beginning of every month is a sabbath according to torah?
    And unleavened bread I also believe is a real sabbath and the beginning of the counting down of the 7 Sabbaths...even though the beginning of the next month starts new.
    The reason I'm believing this may be true is because There has to be an explanation of why they had fits about sabbath being longer than just one sabbath, unless having more than one sabbath together at the beginning and end of the month is why.
    Also The days between these two sabbaths...one at the beginning and one at end of the month and the full dark moon looks like no days or like an intermission or a pause...and still sabbath.
    If anybody has any scriptures they know of that completely shows or totally disproves this then please share. (Not opinions but facts please cuz I already had many of those opinions already, lol.
    I'm just trying to think outside the pagan and the Jewish pagan boxes and put scriptures into righteous and a real and honorable (hopefully) perspective. Thanks. Shalom!

    It's all one God. In my view every culture around the world: Jews, Christians, Muslims, Hindus, Buddhists, Taoists, Native Americans, and all smaller unrecognized spiritual people are responding to wisdom and enlightened messages in their own way. People from different parts of the world look different, speak different languages, live in their own societies and have their own unique cultural traditions. Logically this explains a different interpretation of the same God.
    People preserve their traditions and beliefs, we all want that. It's unfortunate that unequal balances exist and seem to take turns in history, being the bully or being bullied. As an American, living and seeing Native Americans living on impoverished "Indian Reservations" seems like an ongoing prejudice.
    A lil known fact is that Americans created concentration camps for the Chinese in California after the Holocaust took place, but no one talks about it. Discrimination exists, not just for Jewish people.

      They're not all the same god. This is one of the big lies that's being perpetuated right now with chrislam. The (g)od allah is in fact derived in its root from baal worship. It is not the same god in fact it is the false god that from the OT stories pagans in Canaanite territories worshiped. Muslims actually had that god together with many others until one of their prophets came along and said that Allah should be their only god- out of the group of false gods they had already been worshiping. Do not believe those who say that Allah is the same as our Lord and creator - that would be a grave mistake and completely detestable sin.

      Joseph Willis I'm not gonna argue with you Joseph. THE WORD OF GOD says on the 14th day of the first month begins The Passover. Now read Isaiah 66 about sacrificing a lamb. I don't even burn incense because of what THE LORD says by Isaiah in the same chapter. But THE LORD is your judge. I'm not.

    • @jdwillis007
      @jdwillis007 7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Douglas Heeter well Pesach is not April the 14th as you ignorantly posted earlier, but rather, it is on 14th day of the new moon aka month or in this case the start of The Creator's new year, so therefore Pesach would start near sundown on the 10th of April on the Gregorian calendar. Also on another note & according to Encyclopedia Britannica, GOD is the common Teutonic word for a personal object of religious worship, applied to all the superhuman beings of the heathen mythologies, and various kinds of idols. The word "god" on the conversion of the Teutonic races to Christianity was adopted as the name of the One Supreme Being, but this is error. The correct personal proper name of the One Supreme Being is YaHuWaH. Encyclopedia of Religion and Ethics and Webster's Twentieth Century Dictionary, Unabridged agree that the origin of the word God, is Teutonic "paganism".
      May His Shalom be with you & helps you in understanding His Set Apart Word & His Redemption Plan known as His Annual Appointed Times

      The month (Rosh Hodesh) begins when the first sliver of the New Moon is sighted by 2 witnesses in Jerusalem. That was on 03/29/17: Date Sighted: Wednesday, March 29th, 2017. Time Sighted: 7:25pm Jerusalem, Israel time. Sighted By: Yoel Halevi, Devorah Gordon and Gilbert Ashendorf. Place Sighted: Jerusalem, Israel. Month: This is the First Biblical Hebrew Month, also known as Aviv/ Abib (or Nissan) and is the "Beginning of Months" (New Year) according to Torah. The "New Year" begins when the Barley in Jerusalem is Aviv, and it is... Therefore: True "Biblically Derived" Passover (Agriculturally and Lunar cycle corrected, which is different from the date of April 10th, according to current Rabbinic traditions) will begin on the evening of : April 12th, 2017 ! And what EXACTLY do you think Christians are celebrating at Easter with bread and wine just as Jesus did in the new testament in the last supper??? Was there ANY MENTION OF SACRIFICING A LAMB in the new testament, on the last supper, that Jesus celebrated with the deciples??NO because Jesus WAS THE PASSOVER LAMB, that is why he was crucified ON THE PASSOVER! Christians celebrate the resurrection of Jesus at Easter if you could bother yourself to look into it, and not be so foolishly condescending. And I am fully aware of the passover being thanksgiving for the pass over of the plague in Egypt, which did not hit the israelites, as they had sprinkled the blood of a lamb on the lintels of the doorframes as God told Moses.
    We no longer need to sprinkle the blood, or kill and eat a lamb, JESUS IS THE LAMB.
