Oh Liberace you gave us such joy when you played the piano. No music, played from your heart. I still miss you. The angels will always be smiling with you. RIP you dear dear man. ❤
and he reached the impossible star, to be acknowledged gay or not, to be the greatest of showmen, with a courage and inner beauty beyond compare. Vilified and outted at this death, his legacy is huge. Thank you. Thank you Mr Liberace.
Just watched Lee Liberace with the dancing waters more beautiful than any firework display I have ever seen and the most beautiful played musive ever heard nothing today comes anywhere near libareraces talent he was far better than Elvis Tom Jones Frank Sinatra Elton John the Beatles m
The one and only Mr. Showmanship. His music is so beautiful I cry. He truly cared about his audience. So wonderful. Truly missed but immortalized by his talent.
Just magnificent !! ..I once heard Liberace say years ago that this song, "The Impossible Dream" was his favorite song of all time, and you can tell just the way he plays it and how much feeling he shows when he recites the words. Thank you for this great video.
I am in much pain at the moment especially in the night I reach for my smart phone and log into a Liberace video and 70%of the pains slip away that's all I knowxxxxxxxxxxxxx
He was my childhood idol. Many years later, as a grown man I went to hear him here in Sydney. He was then in his 60s. From the moment he walked out on stage it was if he had given me back the magic of my childhood on a silver plate. I will never forget that feeling. There really has never been a day in my life since my childhood when I have not thought of him.
I lived in New York and loved watching Liberace in the 60s and 70s..great artist, showman, entertainer and a fantastic pianist.. He never made a big thing or was it dragged into the press about his homosexuality..( Like today's victims)...
WE NEVER MISSED HIS SHOW AND EVEN MY DAD LIKED HIM. I LEARNED TO LOVE CLASSICAL MUSIC LISTENING TO HIM , HIS IS A TIMELESS TALENT AND I AM THANKFUL WE STILL CAN ENJOY HIS MUSIC TODAY.
Thirty years ago today, the light of the world became a little dimmer. We lost a beautiful human being. He let enjoy his talents and he made us all feel like we could "reach the unreachable stars". #ripliberace
Beautiful, absolutely beautiful. His musical skill was astounding. This piece made the hairs on my neck stand on end, an effect little music has had on me in a long time. Liberace was such a talented man. RIP my lovely, and Thank You for the music.
what a beautiful rendition. i think of the last words as an ode To Jesus. "that one man scorned and covered with scars still strove with his last ounce of courage to reach the unreachable star".-

I was so lucky, I was allowed out of bed to watch Liberace's weekly TV show. Gave me so much pleasure and insight into wonderful music. Thank you for this outstanding share.
Wow! The critics crucified him and see, he lives on. Over 20 years his voice and hands are quiet. A generation has come and gone. The world turned many times, but Liberace plays on to new audiences. May you be with the angels, may you play for God's choir.

Wonderful performance. I have the chills running down my spine. He sings with such honesty and seriousness which is so very appropriate for this text and song. Thinking of you, Lee.
Eternal rest grant unto Liberace, O Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon him. May he rest in peace with all the Holy Angels and Saints in Heaven. Eternal Father, we thank You and Praise You through Liberace's talent in the Name of our Lord Jesus. God bless! Amazing talent!!!!
The favorite song of the last man to walk on the moon, Capt. Eugene Cernan, also the best part of the recent Liberace movie "Behind the Candelabra" re-enactment with Michael Douglas and Matt Damon when reminiscing Liberace's life
Fitting. An excellent pianist, a master entertainer. Brushed aside ridicule from the comics of his day and beyond. Today, the simian-brained (many artists included) that don't recognize Liberace's greatness themselves can't tell a chord from a cord. Because of Men and Women like him in the Arts & Sciences, the able bodied have no reason to not strive to be better every day. Myself included. Let's get started.
Thank you, S.J. Rich for your insights. I don't know what's funnier, you thinking Liberace is a great artist or you considering him an example of traditional manhood.
I grew up in the wong time, what a gift to the world this man was. Absolutely incredible talent, I wish I could have seen him play in his prime. One day when I get to the pearly gates I will get that chance......
I first heard this song being sung by one of my mother;'s favourite singers, Jack Jones and thought it was the most beautiful song, with incredible words. However, this version by Liberace is by far the most beautiful version of them all. His piano playing is just incredible.
@@matthewgray469 Ah, okay, thanks for that. In fact, I have just seen a clip of that movie with Peter O'Toole and Sophia Loren, which looks incredible and well worth a look. I love it when actors who are not renowned for their singing skills are given the chance to sing, because some of them really do show a fairly well hidden talent. One of my favourites who has done this is Meryl Streep, I really think she could equally have been famous as a singer, as well as an actor. Of course, it helps that I have become a bigger fan of hers the older I get. Peter O'Toole and Sophia Loren did a wonderful job with that song in the Man from La Mancha.
@@matthewgray469 Oh yes, I remember Jack Jones very well, he was really a very good singer, indeed. One show he sang the theme song for, which was one of my favourites at the time, although when I see episodes now, I think they are really corny, with corny acting to match, and that was the theme song to Love Boat, a fairly good theme song. Gosh those were the days, seems so long ago now, unfortunately, but still great memories.

If you take away the orchestra its as plain as day
Absolutely this is the ultimate version of this song , and he sings it beautifully.
I agree! Liberace is a favorite of mine. Miss his entertainment! Heaven has to sound beautiful with him playing the keyboard for angels!
The best of all in every way❤❤
He was so talented, and his smile and showmanship, there will never be another like him. Rest well sir, you are still remembered.
Well said 👍🏼
Perfect in every way made by Liberace. May his spirit rest in eternal peace knowing he was loved and admired by everyone. God Bless.
This man was genius so far ahead of his time, really who cares what he did in his personal life?? He gave us so much and asked for nothing!!!
MJ Currier Exactly, MJ. Whatever went on Behind the Candelabra 😉 is no one’s beeswax, but what he did for a living...wow, just wow!
