    I recently purchased the tank must for my husband after watching and comparing endless watches. I absolutely cannot wait to see his face on Christmas morning

    I recently got a Tank Must quartz. I love it to death. I think if I had a more expensive and complicated one, I would hardly ever wear it. My Tank gives me the freedom to wear it every day without worry, and it makes me happy when I look at it. Cartier is really a very democratic company. I can enjoy a Tank without spending all my earnings, and at the same time live it every day.

    Just bought the Cartier Tank Must XL automatic. Beautiful silver dial and guilloche pattern. I bought the stainless steel bracelet version. But with the quick change system available I'll be buying a leather strap for it as well.

      I just purchased the same model! It’s amazing. So special. I’ve had almost every major brand (Rolex, Omega, JLC, Tudor, Tag, Breitling, etc) and this is the first piece that I’ve connected with on such a deeper level.

    Tank Louis, oh my, groan. The most beautiful watch ever created.

      Yeah. There’s nothing like a solid 18K tank on a blue crocodile strap. But I’m in love with the 1601 platinum case version. It’s my next acquisition!

  • @Santos.Sarmento
    @Santos.Sarmento 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    The Cartier Tank, not the best or the most luxurious, but mainly the "Louis", is simply the most iconic and elegant watch of all time. It's the Citröen DS as a watch.

    Great video guys. As a Cartier lover I watched it to the last second. Already have an MC, thinking about the Must XL. But then, I have a large wrist, 21 cm.

    I bought a Pulsar "tank" when I graduated HS in '83; a Seiko "tank" in 2008. I'm looking for the Cartier Tank as a (hopeful)promotion/early retirement me-gift. So much to overthink. The only thing I DO know is that I'd like my Rank, initials, and fiscal year of my promotion to be engraved on the case.

  • @closer71

    I’m just trying to confirm exactly which movement was used in the men’s 1990 Cartier “Tank” ref. 1601-1 (platinum w/ 18K wg deployment clasp)

    Great episode! I would love to own the Tank Solar in Large however, the size is my concern mostly with my 19CM wrist. I just need to go and try one out when they arrive in September to see for myself. It's timeless, meant to be worn on the smaller side of course, but I wish the XL was offered in the same configuration, Solar, with no date complication. Even it, as a manual wound watch (or auto) with no date would be great, but alas, can't have that.

    I like the photovoltaic tank. What size is the one presented in your video ? Large or small ? What is an appropriate size for a 16.5 cm wrist? Thanks for the great presentation 👍🙂

    I have a question that I think some of us looking to get our first used Tank might benefit from a definitive answer. Did Cartier make a Tank at some point that had a gold electroplated snap back case and back? Also, I've seen a few for sale that had nothing inscribed on the outside of the case back what-so-ever. Were these ever produced? Thanks guys!

    Love the tank but at 4000 CDN with tax for a quartz movement that’s crazy expensive and a bad investment looking for a used one but prices are way too high for a used quartz Cartier. You have to love the history though unfortunately it is a watch only the rich can afford.

    If they release the solar beat model with automatic movement, I will definitely buy it. In addition, Its low water resistance does not live up to its name, unfortunately :(

    • @alexanderkonig577
      @alexanderkonig577 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      FYI an automatic movement does not need any other energy source than movement so it would be pointless to make an automatic watch powered by sunlight. But maybe you mean the model and it’s size of the solarbeat (the tank must large)

    I've always loved the Cartier Tank American. However as a watch enthusiast, I can't take Cartier seriously. Every time I visit the boutique, I'm presented with a sales professional that doesn't know the first thing about horology. It's treated as a fashion watch, despite it's elevated price.
    Cartier should let they're watch division break away. Find AD's that are professional watch salespeople. Perhaps then they'll win over the watch community.

    21:47 LOL, Steve Mcqueen was never a gentleman... beating his wife up, urinating on his neighbour's balcony etc. etc...
