Thank you these reviews help so much. I had skin cancer last year & was told to wear SPF 30 or higher daily. My skin is very reactive so after trying a ton of mineral sunscreens I've settled on applying Olay sensitive SPF 15 then applying Elta MD UV shield. If I don't use the Olay first my skin gets too dry but together my skin is perfect.
The Physical SPF 41 was my favorite sunscreen when I used to wear foundation. Now that I no longer use foundation, I noticed how pale it makes me look, which is unfortunate, because it looks amazing-not too matte, not too shiny. It looks natural-like my skin, but better, with a slight glow. When I use it now, I put my usual 1/4 tsp, let it sit for a minute, then add another drop mixed with a drop of bronzer and voila-it works perfectly. Now I can keep it in my rotation, along with my other favorites. All the other Elta MD tinted sunscreens are too dark/orange and too shiny on me, even though my skin is light (not fair) with a neutral/warm undertone & normal/combo skin type.
I wanted to love Elta MD. I tried every version and my dry, super sensitive, reactive skin didn’t get along with any of them. They each made my face feel hot and bothered. I started buying my sunscreens overseas because I seem to do better with the filters. I love EVY Kids, or my face does….I think your take rings true. Thank you for the review.
Hi Dana! I believe they actually did a stealth reformulation of the UV Physical around the same time as Elements-they didn’t promote the new Physical but lots of us noticed a changed ingredient list along with the updated packaging. I’ve heard the new Physical is heavier and more orange than the previous formula! 😣 Curious if your tube is a recent purchase, or from the same time as the “old” Elements? Love the sunscreen reviews!
I’m fairly sure mine is the old formula…I had had these for a while before finally getting around to filming 🙈 I hate when brands reformulate the most popular products
Hi Dana! It’s your favorite hybrid sunscreen lover, @sensitiveskinfinds! Isn’t it wild how you reviewed so many and it’s not even the entire spf range! I have such a love/hate with EltaMD. they were one of the first brands to have multiple hybrid options that are all sensitive skin friendly but now they are just tooo freaking expensive. 3oz bottles used to be their norm now it’s few and far between. This video does make me want to try the UV Sheer now! I would love a non tinted water resistant spf for running
Totally one of those brands that I feel love/hate toward too. When I get back home let me see when my sheer expires, and I can send it to you if you want
UV daily was my HG for years - LOVE that one! Did you experience any pilling with the UV clear? It Initially applies fine, but as I start to rub it in and dry down, it pills . I googled it and the reviews are 50/50 about that which was surprising since it's their #1 best seller.
I wear this if I get it free and heard its the best, now ive also heard they changed there formula and also it looks kinda orange and ppl complain about that as well....its a little to warm on me😅 it would be wonderful if they would do cool toned.... That would be great... Im starting to not wear this brand as much.... Too warm on me... Tinted I mean.... Good show honey!!!
Totally depends on a variety of factors. Skin type, skin tone, what I’m doing, etc. hard to give a blanket answer since my skin type/tone may be different than yours
Thanks for this comparison of their entire line. I have been overwhelmed trying to decide which would be best for me without leaving my skin greasy.
Thank you so much for your honest review!

Thank you for this thorough review. Always felt overwhelmed by Elta MD (and their prices..). I think I'm going to continue skipping this brand! :)

Can you please do a video on good drugstore sunscreens?
Great idea!!!

I didn’t have any piling but was also using it with no skincare, so that might change things

I thought they discontinued UV Restore
Def still listed on their website
I just got the uv restore and it was way to greasy. I loved the uv elements! Such a shame!
What is your all time favorite tinted mineral sunscreen to wear alone, and reapply for a day outside on vacation? Any brand?
