He's doing a job that should have been done by cops and a prosecutor.... he's done very well. Ahh...so the defendant has gone to prison before. It seems he knows he'd find prison a very unhappy place. It seems he's been on probation a number of times, with unsatisfactory results. If he's had 12 months sentences before, perhaps he could have got 2 or 3 years, but if his previous sentences had been short, then 12 months sounds like he'll remember it forever, and perhaps modify his behaviour.
I suspect this guy realized halfway through that he was violating "street code," and was switching on his fellow criminals, who were involved in the cheque cashing scheme with him. Depending on which state you're incarcerated in, having a record that you snitched, or named someone else in any way, that can be a problem for inmates, if someone finds you. This lie did not go well for him, he was obviously unprepared and thought the conversation would revolve around giving him another chance. I live in a small town in southern Minnesota. One day, we got our bank statement. There were pages and pages of .99 cents transactions for games and we were overdrawn. Immediately went to the bank and spoke to an accounts manager who promptly accused our 5 year old son for the charges. Yeah, that didn't go over well and we got into a heated argument. Anyways, we sat there and on a piece of paper, listed every single transaction. While doing that, a farmer walked in and said he wanted to speak to the bank manager. HE had his statement which showed hundreds and hundreds of transactions for games on his account. Come to find out that there were several people in town that this happened to. Our money was returned back to our account as were other victims. The person who did this was arrested but we never found out what had happened to her.

He clearly was trying hard not to rat out some people who will mess him up when he gets out. If you tell the truth it is easy to remember. If you constantly lie your in trouble. I bet his dealer watching this was thinking "you better not" and then laughed.
The judge knew it and used it as an excuse for the defendant to dig his own hole and for him to send the defendant to prison instead of a state drug treatment facility. The judge was either going to get information for the prosecutor to charge additional people or have an excuse to throw the proverbial book at the defendant and ended up with the latter.

He wasn’t spoiled but got everything he needed and I corrected him when he did bad things. I was careful to tell him HE wasn’t bad but what he DID was bad. Just the usual kid stuff like lying or taking things that weren’t his. And I loved him. I told him I loved him, I showed him I loved him, and my heart is broken because of and FOR him. He’s almost 50. I finally just cut off communication with him because he called from jail and lied through his teeth about why and he blamed other people. I cannot do it any more. My reaction to sitting through 30 minutes for 30 seconds of whining was way more furious
@uyegidgg - Thank you. His response was more like an indignant high pitched whine. Not impressed.
Thank you.
This guy is lyin so hard he'a gonna swallow his tongue. I see lots of jail (or a career in politics) in his future.
He couldn't get into politics, he's not a good enough liar.
@@NicCageForPresident2024 point taken!
Too funny!
Go against his credit report?? He’s worried about his credit report 😂😂😂 maybe you need to worry about your jail record more 😡
Geez, can't even keep track of all the checks he's cashed. 🤦🏼♀️
And there were only three of them.
Jeez the poor guy was on drugs. Give him a break. 😂
Or, apparently, all the lies he told trying to get out of stealing them 🤭🙄
He was trying not to implicate the two females who were in on the scams.
I actually can't believe what is going through his head and then coming out of his mouth..... This is comedy gold 😂😂😂
mannnn, I wish *_I_* _"had a history of suffering from drug issues"_ or whatever so *_I_* had an excuse for every stupid decision I've ever made >:(
It seems to come in handy if you've done very bad things.
You don't want that, it sucks more than you think.
Right. You want to suffer from a disorder just in case you need it for an excuse.
Pure MAGA.
It's actually not as hard as you think... just go out and find some to do for awhile, I'm not sure how much, it's a hit or miss😂jk
@@Ghost76Ninja I...that's not how it works.. you obviously haven't heard of withdrawal
2:04 " I know his history isn't promising "
NEITHER IS HIS FUTURE!
Well, past performance can be an indicator of future performance esp with his history. He needs to face his past & needs to pay the piper now, no excuses.
Finaly a Judge who sees through the BS.
Yep,
A career criminal.
12 months is a joke.
This guy will be back scamming people in no time.
Dude is just talking in circles. He tries to cash these fraudulent checks and expected nothing would happen to him?
Pay back the money, then apologize. And, reveal your co-conspirators. Then, talk to the judge.
These drains on society are NEVER sorry for what they’ve done. They’re just sorry that they got caught. 🤮
Take the shovel from him, his digging a hole so deep he can't get out. This judge knows more than his letting on.🤣😂🤣😂
Let him keep digging
Yup. It is why reading everyone their Miranda rights is so important. Liars are going to get caught running their mouth.. but if they already know their rights, they can't claim entrapment.
Yes a weasel! Even after he was whining like he didn’t understand. What a dweeb! He knows exactly what he is doing!
He’ll be right back at it when he gets released. Once a scammer always a scammer. Disgusting behaviour 😡
That’s too light of a sentence. He needs to do some serious time.
Hahaha he sounds like Private Hudson in "Aliens" - "Well, that's great. That's just fuckin' great, man! Now what the fuck are we supposed to do? We're in some real pretty shit now, man!"
Game over man, game over!
This man might have done better with the little girl in charge.
"You secure that shit, Hudson!"
LOVE that movie. Bill Paxton was his normal awesome self in that movie. I can still quote his lines.. and that is something indeed when talking about an actor.
How do you know when he is lying? When his lips are moving! "I'm not going to lie" ha ha 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Honestly, I believe he is really sorry that he got caught but still believe he was entitled to do what he did.
Who is Constance Wagner? Sir that is what my prison boyfriend is going to call me when I hold his pocket for the next 12 months…
If this were Michigan you would be completely correct. I think the case in this clip is an Ohio case, though. I don't know if "prison boyfriends" are a thing down there.
That he needed to know how to write a check is hysterical, to me. Apparently whoever taught him was awful too. He was “Constance”, suuuuure. “I.D., ma’am?”
This judge is the GOAT
Scammer - "Wtf man!"
Me - "Lol"
What a muppet.
He took zero responsibility and then made it worse by lying to the judge and blaming others. The judge should have thrown the book at him.
Gotta love the excuse of: “I’m not trying to lie, but…”
"I'm gonna be honest with you" = "I'm about to gaslight you"
As the lawyer said, with time served and half time, out in one and a half months. Ridiculous, should be consecutive. Especially with previous form for exactly the same offences.
Man he lies! Who does he think he's fooling!
Not the judge that's for sure
Still taking no responsibility for his actions from his clear comments at the end
“What did he want me to say, man?!”
Erm… the truth 🤷🏻♂️
This scammer should spend at least 5 more years to be taught a lesson
Definitely
He clearly was trying hard not to rat out some people who will mess him up when he gets out. If you tell the truth it is easy to remember. If you constantly lie your in trouble. I bet his dealer watching this was thinking "you better not" and then laughed.
The judge knew it and used it as an excuse for the defendant to dig his own hole and for him to send the defendant to prison instead of a state drug treatment facility. The judge was either going to get information for the prosecutor to charge additional people or have an excuse to throw the proverbial book at the defendant and ended up with the latter.
Party to still guilty fuck him, don't get into crime then if you can't take the consequence or fight off those who would not want you talking lol.
The judge said “awww Jesus”, I’m feeling Your Honor 😂
As someone who is in recovery, this guy is full of shit. When you're hopelessly addicted to drugs, you don't just forget all the sleezey crap you do to get more. Him sitting there saying oh gosh I just don't remember, it's been so long. Bull!!! You remember everything second of that life. Freaking moron, just tell him the truth, if he truly wants to be clean and sober, then you start by just being honest. 13 years recovery from opioids here 💪🏻
At the end, he sounds like Rick Moranis in Ghostbusters 🤣👻🤪
😂😂😂😂
12 months in prison.. he's acting like its the end of the world. This guy can't handle the real world. He won't make it much longer in life.
Wasn't quite the "furious reaction" I was expecting.
As a long time repeat offender he should have gotten a minimum of 10 years to serve before being considered for parole. He’s just not going to change.
They never get how it's not about them wanting to change, it's about protecting the public from them.
Maybe when someone truly screws up and they attempt to fix things they deserve a chance, depending on the crime. When you just keep breaking the law and victimizing people you deserve to be locked away from society.
"I got talked into." Using checks to a business I do not own....Criminals are wild.
"Your Honor, as you know, my client stood up and took responsibility for his case early on, and he um... is here today... er umm... sitting down... uhhhh hmm... not taking responsibility for anything."
Perfect example of the endless attempts dishonest people will go through to avoid responsibility - - to avoid actual consequences for their bad acts. Takes 25 minutes lying to the Judge until the Judge Finally Gives Him the "Chance to PROVE WHAT ? " You were all over the place at check cashing places - - THEN When He KNOWS The Judge Is COMPLETELY Not Accepting Any of His Made Up Crap Responses He Gets To : "Please Your Honor - - I'm Not Trying To Lie To You - - I Don't Want To Go To Jail". These People Really Think They Can TALK A JUDGE OUT OF SENDING THEM TO PRISON FOR THEIR CRIMES ! Can you imagine all the people in this man's life who he talked endlessly to = getting favors, chances, rides, cover stories - while he went around making money by taking money from people and doing false check writing and fraudulent "Business Deals"? He Would Have NEVER STOPPED.
"This is a fluid story" had me lol but not as much as his I don't remember which check was first and which check was last defense. Also, how huge as that TV?
He didn’t know stealing money from folks was a felony?? 😮
LIKE me...grilling my 4 daughters over the years...why they came home late on a Saturday night 😅Love COURTCAM TV!❤
This judge has seen a lot of lying scumbags but this guy takes the cake. That is really saying something ! Put him under the jail.
He should've written a check to his Dealer.
His dealer probably won’t accept cheques.
My son has gotten into trouble time and time and time again. I don’t know why he can’t seem to learn from his mistakes and he’s a liar and a thief. I did not raise him that way. He was greatly loved from birth, was just the cutest little boy, and I did my best to teach him right from wrong and not to lie. I just really don’t know what happened! I literally put him in Gods Hands. I will continue to pray for him, and pray that he won’t hurt anybody else. This guy here, I’ve heard those excuses and how he blames somebody else and POOR ME.
My heart goes out to you. I've seen other kids the same way. Great parents, siblings that are responsible.. but that one kid is just a bad apple.
Your desire to help is admirable, so I salute you. But don't feel like it is your fault. Your kids are still independent people making their own judgements. Some kids just don't learn and don't grow. Its life.
@ thank you 🙏
Getting caught for your crimes does not mean you are taking responsibility it just means you got caught 😂
Drinking game: take a drink everytime the judge says "Constance Wagner."
His lawyer is like whatever, dig your grave.....I am still getting paid..He basically stayed quiet the entire time. lol
Give him another chance to rob another person and maybe hurt somebody. Put him in jail for two years, keep him clean and sober and give him a chance at self-reflection and growth.
Con man all the way ~
"I'm gonna be honest with you Judge" lol, yeah, right.
Oh.... So, there at the end he claimed some guy GAVE him those checks to cash.... Amazing just how many different versions he's told of this BS!!!!!
This country needs to begin using prison work camps and farms again and teach these people to work for a living.
That or a mandatory 2 years of military experience weather male or female.
@equallawandorder5393 Good point 👍
Build more prisons!
The ones we have are under staffed, fill the holes before making more.
“This is a fluid story.” Oh Judge, you have a way with words 😂
1 year is laughable. He should have gotten 3-7 years.
That judge…wow. I think he’s either too tired to comprehend the story…orrrr…he’s doing it on purpose to play ‘gotcha’! 😂
I think he got a very light sentence considering he’s a repeat offender.
And that he is dumber than a box of rocks!
Damn if you gonna commit check fraud you should know how a check works😂😂😂 “I thought it would only affect my credit score” 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
2:50 OMG. Cry me a river! I had 30 year professional white-collar career while doing drugs...
I had a 30 year teaching career while sloshed on booze. University life sure was nice in that regard.
Sounds like Ace Cash Express needs to be investigated 🧐🔎🚔🚨
This reminds me of my back and forths about homework and unturned in assignments with my teenage son.😅
He doesn't care about the lives he's impacted or the harm & devastation he's caused! It's going to take those people longer than 1 year, to recover from the damage HE INFLICTED!!
The way he's whining you'd think he got 10 years instead of 10 1/2 months of which he will probably do 6 or 7.
I feel bad for the court reporter. She's really earning her money on this one.
@25:55 'Your Honor, I am NOT trying to lie to you'.... When everything I have told you in the past 25 minutes are all BS and not a word of truth.. LMAO !!
Just bought a locking mail box at Home Depot.
