Thank you. The temperature wasn't that cold in the end, just a gentle breeze. It could have been a lot worse. I am disappointed in myself because it was self-inflicted. I just ate the wrong thing the day before. What was I thinking?!
Paddock wood was one of my first ever ½marathons in April 2007 (3weeks before I ran london marathon that year and 6weeks before I turned 20) I finished in 91.46 and was a good course from what I remember 😀 Well done on smashing the 90 barrier 👏 great video 📹 as always ! Good luck at Brighton, I'll be there pacing my misses to a sub5 all being well 😀🤞 Think I saw you at Sutcliffe parkrun a few weeks back too!
That's a great story, Terry. I wish you and your misses the best of luck for the Brighton Marathon. Hopefully, I'll bump into you at a parkrun, maybe in Brighton.
I am doing Weymouth half this weekend. Been injured on and off since october so not in best shape, but did a little test of about 20 seconds faster than my HM pb pace every other mile on long run last week then decided to enter. Not trained properly for it, about half stone over weight. Will eat ok on saturday but going to watch the local boxing club show in evening so not the best prep for an 8:30 am race but sometimes just got to do a race for fun without any targets /expectation! Great time, well done!
I am such an idiot. I can't believe what I did. I would never do this normally. I had steak and ale pie and chips. I must say it was very nice at the time, but the next day it didn't sit well in my stomach. Oh well, I've got away with it. Just!!
Brilliant stuff I've got a half next week and would really like to emulate your sub 90. It's been a while but fingers crossed. It looked a great race to do. It's been around years I think.
90 minute range is flying, especially considering what you were up against, with the air temps, and your stomach. Outstanding job!!

That's a great effort. You can't be disappointed with that. it's too hard on yourself, mate.
Great run.
Thanks 👍
Thanks, mate. Just angry with myself for not eating the right thing the day before. It won't happen again!!

I hope your race went as well as possible given your injury and limited training.
@@inmruns A pb by 26 seconds despite a tight back from 5 miles.
Well run, you flew around. I ran it too and got a sub 2 pb which I was chuffed with.
Thank you, and I'm glad to hear you had a great run. Kudos on your PB - well done!
What did you have for lunch Sat? Pie n mash, Toby carvery, fish n chips is an absolute killer...

35 years it's been going
Good luck with your Half marathon. I hope all goes well for you both
Top running considering the issues you were having. 👌
