Thanks for the video, I am planning to buy such an ebike, to also transport small goods, your video was very helpful. About the front luggage basket on the SE - it fits in the back rack as well according to their pictures.
Hi, I have an Engwe Engine X and very happy with it. I have followed Engwe for some time now and the L20 SE is not an Engwe product. The non folding L20 is theirs. I have seen it referred to as new stock and old stock. But Engwe have never had it on their website and I have read several times they deny making the SE. Best check before buying one for spare parts could be a problem.
I’ve notice that it isn’t on their website… i thought… maybe it was designed for a different market… I will send them an email and see if they can explain what is going on.
The L20 SE is the special edition produced in conjunction with buybestgear and is only sold by them. But any parts or warranty work is taken care of by Engwe, As it is their bike.
@@RedskullProhi, can you explain as best as you can. 4:23 this is not a 250w motor, it's 750 I don't get it. Is it 750 when it's locked to 15mph uphill or 750 after unlock. If it is 250 at 15 mph, what is making it 750
looking at what I have found is that such as the UK you cannot use as a bicycle if over 250w so it is restricted to comply with the law@@johnsouthwales1078
Its is locked as in speed but with it being a bigger motor you will get more tork helping set off and climbing hills despite the low speed@@johnsouthwales1078
I think they add the thick tires to make the bikes stand out, no other reason. These bikes would be lighter, more power efficient and handle better with regular tires over these :)
To be honest I hate it. L20 is to heavy and too stupid with those ridiculous fat tires. Heavy impractical bike that you cant fold. It's not MTB cuz It's not. Those fat tires cant replace proper MT Bike. For commuting? Who wants to commute with such fatass heavy bike? Only one thing it has good is the legality of 250W motor with its real power. That would be perfect combination for actual city commuting bike L20 SE. BUT IT HAS'NT HAVE IT. L20 SE could have been perfect city bike, that can actualy climb hills in the city and be legal too. Such a shame they didn't provide the same motor to SE version
I have the L20 and love it, it gets plenty of admiring looks and questions from other people
@@eggy1962 the only comment I’ve had is from my granddaughter who recons its a weird looking bike
@@bobbo9549 thinks its the front basket frame…i do like the bmx bars over the t bars on others , with my bad back its more upright for me.

Maybe that’s a better option
seen the light mounted above the front basket on some pictures and videos

Did you hear back from them? Thank you@@RedskullPro

Thanks for that! I have been looking but wondered if it was something that was trialed and discontinued by themselves @@mozzjones6943

A great comparison. Thx for the video ;)
Thanks for stopping by!
Thanks, I used your discount code and got a further £16 off the Engwe L20 SE
nice!
Awesome video keep it up as always brother
Appreciate it!
Just looks
Placed the basket on my SE on the rear of the bike, sorted.👍
Good idea!
i checked website there are no SE on list but only L20 and L20 2.0 in pages.
Nice vid!
Thanks!
Thank you
Good comparison! L20 is the way to go
Thanks for checking out the video!
Whats wrong with L20 se?
L20 with smaller 48V 13ah battery still have more range than 36V 15.6 ah. Do the math. 624 wh vs 561 wh
On paper things are different 😀 unlock the L20 and ride at 40km/h, you will kill the battery in 20km 😀

Why are the tires on these modern bikes so thick? Like moped tires! Not hating just wondering 🙂

Cool
Which bike is better Engwe l20 SE or Engwe L20? Thank you.
L20
@@RedskullPro Why?
I want the bigger motor but with the smaller tyres, can you recommend an ebike with that description?
I really hate 4 inch tires
I didn't come across any that have a bigger motor and smaller wheels... :(
L20 2.0 is just like the L20 SE but has a 52V system that is more powerful than the L20. Unfortunately, it is only sold in the US.
Strange the named this L20 SE.. seems like a totally different bike
No idea 🤷♂️
Inspired by iphone😁
Would 4 inch tyres fit on the SE?
maybe...
Looks nice and small
More manageable for sure

I have the SE version of the L20 and I can tell you the range of this e bike is terrible down as low as 6 miles range. Pointless e bike.
10km?! How?! I think you need to have the battery checked out
Pedalling might help 😂
is the se the l20 2.0 on the website the 2.0 has way more torque?
No. After some investigation...it seems that the SE is not actually a Engwe product...
