The Middle English for 1066 is "Ten sixty-six"? Surprising. I guess too much bad fantasy world building has left me expecting something unnecessarily verbose like "the sixty sixth year of the eleventh century", or whatever for Western dates pre-Gregorian calendar.
I guess it would have been The Year of Our Lord Jesus Christ One Thousand and Sixty-Six. That naming convention was widespread by 800 and the Middle English Normans were Christians.

I really like these shorter ones. It could be beneficial for you to take advantage of these memes.
I think that the longer and more gruelling the translation, the better.
Fair enough. But a few backup short memes in Middle English will do him well in case he can’t keep making videos as an appetizer.

I imagine it would be something along the lines of "The year one thousand and sixty six of our lord Jesus Christ."
People were lazy in the middle ages, too. Don't assume they said more than they needed to, to get the meaning across
I would quote my favourite line, but they're all so good.
But that little bit of vitriol in "And deceiven" slays me.
Words of wisdom from the past
I’m loving these Middle English memes! 😂 The DAI soundtrack in the background made it even better.

Based.
For additional context, "man" used to just be human, and "male" was "wepman/carman" and "female" was "wifman/womman"
