    While I don't have any ink on me, I do credit one particular tattoo for sparking my interest in awareness ribbons: the rose Craig put on a dude on Ink Master: Redemption. That one was orange; mine would be green, for mental health issues.
    I encourage all artists to get three ribbon tattoos: one for their general cause, another for their family cause, and the last for a cause that is personal or specific to that one artist.

    Great talk as always, giving us all those little pieces of wisdom.This time in the topic of boking, I fetl that.
    The only thing I don't agree is the comparison with the art world, because that is corrupted to the core. Tattooing is finally entering the realm of art proudly, in fact right now tattoos are probably the only art form that remains almost untouched that is attainable for people in many ways. So I don't like the idea of it becoming a luxury item related to status, like a Balenciaga bag. Thank God you can't resell tattoos. I'm good with tattoos being like a haircut or a tailored suit or a pair of handmade shoes.

    Amazing show, looking forward to the social media episode. I feel like this whole thing is just another hat a tattooer have to wear and learn among all thenother things and as a beginer, mi mind if just a big ballon from all the things learning at the same time… drawing and art, tattooing, business, comunication, and social media 🤯😂

    Idk, i kinda disagree with what they say regarding tattooers need to have this insane presence on social media and market to the layman in order to be successful. Some of the best tattooers in the world, like Justin Hartman, Grime, Guy Aitchison, Marcus Pacheco go pretty much radio silent and post very very seldom if ever, I can gurantee those guys arent going hungry or worrying about when the next bookign is coming. Social media has become a crutch for tattooers of lesser quality to build a following. If everyone focused on their tattooing and improved they wouldnt need all this fugazi marketing, people would tune in and book because the work is good. And as for marketing to the layman, just make good tattoos and the people will come, theres thousands of artist that dont rely on this crutch and do excellent work. Thats just my two cents

    The quality of the art is what dictates the value;
    Not where your shop is located.
    Based on that logic;
    I could open an art studio on fifth and smear fecal matter across a bunch of canvases and charge $150k per "piece."
    °°°
    I guess you put the value at what ever you can con the mark in to paying.

      You are correct but you wouldn't be able to open a tattoo shop on fifth without the $$$$ and you have to be able to make that money back. If not it sounds like a pretty terrible business model.
