Leg Strengthening Exercises For Seniors - Seniors Balance Workout | More Life Health

  • Join me (Mike - Physiotherapist) in today’s exercise video, as we strengthen our legs and do some balance work. Plus a few other exercises!
    15-MINUTE LEG STRENGTHENING WORKOUT:
    Hip Abductions x 12 each leg
    Heel and Toe Raises x 12
    Sit-To- Stands x 12 (x6, + x6 with 3- seconds up:3-seconds down)
    High Knee Marching - x 5 each leg
    Sit-To- Stands x 12
    Heel and Toe Raises x 12
    Balance - Semi Tandem Stance (eyes open) - 60 Seconds each leg
    Balance - Semi Tandem Stance (eyes open) - 60 Seconds each leg
    Punching - 60 seconds

    Two days ago I fell and couldn’t get up, my son had to carry me to standing position because I had no strength at all in my legs. I was looking for something like this, thank you for this video. My 80 year old body will regain some strength, God willing.

    This one was very difficult for me but thank God I did everything thank you very much Michael I love you so much you look like my son and I see your face happy 😃 remember my son

    Can’t wait to get started on these. Should’ve done them for all lock down but didn’t see this video. More fool me! It is an ideal workout for someone with MS like me. Strengthening legs are hugely important for maintenance. Thanks Mike.

    I'm not a senior but have a permanent ankle injury. This was a fantastic workout for me with the seated stretches to begin. Something to keep my lockdown time more purposeful. Thanks!
