Sarah Wheatley

Meet the Maker is delighted to introduce the force of nature that is Sarah Wheatley. A textile artist and designer, trained at Bristol University and with an MA from the Royal College of Art.
Sarah works out of Arkwright's Cromford Mill - a World Heritage Site steeped in the history of cotton and wool and the birthplace of the Industrial Revolution. Learn about spinning, dyeing, weaving and knitting, but more than the techniques, this video is about what excites her in the creative potential of being a textile artist.
Ever thought of adding wire to your yarn? Fishing line, elastic or fairy lights? There is no limit to Sarah's creativity, as she says "the possibilities are endless!"
