If your a first time rider be careful. Most people who ive known to start on a bike with this much power have had to bridge the gap between inexperience and having too much power. Be safe out there buddy and goodluck. Its a fantastic bike.
@@scoobysword Thank you very much bro. As I will have it on the lowest power setting to learn. I'll pick mine up on Tuesday with an experience friend of mine. 🙂🙏
@@scoobysword How are you doing. Well I've been riding now for 7 months and it's been great. I have been recording most of my rides with an Insta360 One X2 camera and some on my helmet camera. I've cleaned and lubricated my chain twice. I'm still learning and closing my experience gaps 🙂th-cam.com/play/PLLGHRFebfxzlDP38lDPIMvy1uwLhhQJ1G.html
My 17 is a great bike Wait until you woolich flash the bike and a full exhaust and air filter It’s so much smoother especially the on off throttle response in 1st gear in power mode 1 and helps the midrange euro 4 dip in power too. Oh and if you want to throw a little more money at her get the quick shifter! It’s been a gear bike, next year though either an S1000RR or RSVR 1100 Factory
Ya, I already got her flashed 2 weeks after purchase... lol! I have an akroprovic slip on. I figured a couple extra pounds from the cat isn't gonna kill anything and I like having the o2 for a slight better gas mileage at cruising speeds. I wont change the air filter because the air box and air filter went through thousands of hours of R&D and certainly the bike gets more air than it can use right now. But if i could get a box to have better flow or more volume, that's different. I have gotten her past her speedo limit already and can say, I may shave the head for more compression, valve job 3 angle. Maybe some other fun stuff along the way. Porting the head etc.
Here is what I picked up from the 1000RR Enthusiasts Forum. P = Power Number 1 the most power on throttle and 5 the less power. T = Traction control (intervention) Number 1 means less intervention and 9 the most intrusive. E = Engine Braking Number 1 means less engine braking when you back off the throttle and 3 is more engine brake off throttle. Soo mode 1,2 and 3 are factory set and User 1 and 2 you can customize P, T and E at you choice.
I am still very happy with it. Especially after the mods I did to her. I didn't get the SP model though. A bit too steep for me. Main differences being suspension and a higher rev limit, probably different cams.
What's the torque management intervention like for wheelie-ing. Are there levels that let the wheel come up at all? Or limit how high it goes? Or is it more like it needs to be completely off to wheelie at all
What’s your IG. I have some specific questions. I want to know what the different levels feels like and what kinda wheelies you can do at each level. I’m getting better at wheelies on my CBR650r, but got a fireblade this winter and don’t want to loop it when spring comes
Just got my 2017 cbr100rr and love mine also but mine is slammed stretched and loud with the 2 Brothers pipe!!!! Love the quickshift feature also never ever rode a bike you don't use a clutch to shift I mean your floating gears kinda like we do in our big trucks!!!!! BAHAHAHA
Who the hell gives a thumbs down? I love my 17 CBR1000RR only other bike I would get afterwards is the BMW or new CBR RR-R unless the 2021 Kawasaki ninja gets improved 🤤
Ya, I was looking at the s1000rr always loved them. Have some buddies with them who swear by em. The fireplace cbr rr-r is a wet dream no doubt about it. I really do love the 18 cbr1000rr I have though. Especially with the upgrades. The power to weight ratio is insane. Lightest Superbike makes one hell of a difference. Especially after the upgrades im getting just as much if not more hp to the rear wheel as the other bikes.
Just got mine couple months ago! Did so many mods on it already! I was going to go with the same color as yours but i like the black one more.
Thank you for showing the display in detail❤, I feel a lot of people don’t do that
That's also my dream bike bro. It looks awesome. Enjoy your ride.
FROM MY RIDE REVIEW BEST STOCK EVER AFTER 4000RPM THIS THING GETS MAD
Beautiful, beautiful! Thank you for the upload. Safe riding
Great review. Congratulations bro (I know this is an old post).🏍👏
Had it, loved it, sold it...now looking for another one lol
Thank you. I'm going to be a first time rider and looking at the exact one in black. 🙂

I'm about to be buying one can't wait

Nevermind...I found the owners manual and the video is correct. EB 3 is the least amount of Braking and EB 1 is the most EB.

Man just bought this bike with 1700 miles on it for 13k. I wanted abs and it didn’t have it.
Congrats on the new bike. That's the bike I want next 17-19 SP. Are you still happy with it?
I am still very happy with it. Especially after the mods I did to her. I didn't get the SP model though. A bit too steep for me. Main differences being suspension and a higher rev limit, probably different cams.
In the video, he says, the engine brake on 1 is the highest and 3 being the lowest. Do you get more engine braking on 1 or 3?

Best to wheelie with full power mode and torque limiter/traction control off. Comes up in 1 2 and 3

Do they come with a standard quick shifter?
The sp model does. Not the abs or standard model.
Bro hyped!!
Yeah man. I got mine last year also! Around labor day. Can't wait to really rip her this summer. I have to qs on it, oh it's so nice!!!
I wish the black one is gloss like this one not matte black. But it's not too had haha.
Ya, if it was gloss I might have considered it. The matte isn't my thing either.
Still no fuel gauge indicator????
There kind of is. You have a distance indicator for how much fuel you have. Honestly prefer it over a standard Guage.
@@scoobysword got it. Thank you.
I HAVE SAME VERSION OF IT
