Great advice! I just received a couple of IOD moulds and a packet of paper clay, and I think your tip to let them dry in the mould overnight will save me loads of grief.
Thank you so much for sharing! I would love to see a part 2 on drying and the next steps to maybe paint or finish them off. I am excited about these products now! tfs, Ramona
Hi there! Yes, you can paint them! I use Beacon Fabric-Tac glue with a little bit of hot glue. The hot glue sets up immediately, giving the Beacon glue time to dry & once that’s dried, it’s very strong. Hope that helps! Corene
They look beautiful! You inspired me to have a go at this again. I bought some back in August. The brand i used was "Hearty" (i'm on the uk). It was really nice to use but the figures i made have yellowed over time. Easily sorted with a little white acrylic paint.
I roll over the backs with a rolling pin to get them very even. I also have to add a bit of water to the Prima clay as it's extremely dry. Without the added moisture it's to crumbly.
Thank you for the great video! That looks a lot more user-friendly than polymer clay. How strong is it after it dries? Is it like chalk? Original Sculpey is crumbly and powdery after it's cured, so I use Premo, which I love, but it's hard to condition.
I agree..I found that brand very hard to work with. I found “moldable epoxy putty. SculpWood Putty”. It’s a 2 part system. The epoxy and Gardner. It’s similar but I found leaving it in the mold over night. Pull it out once it’s hardened. It works great. Downfall: waiting for it to harden before you can use the mold again. For the most part it’s not a big deal.
What is the difference between your pasta machine & using a real pasta machine for pasta? I can imagine the special one for clay is more expensive, right?
I don’t believe there is any difference, actually. Mine was pretty cheap and I also used a coupon for it. I have seen someone use this same machine to make pasta.
Thank you for your tutorial. I am using the paper clay with these molds now. OMG! Saw your previous video on moulds with the baked sculpy like clay. Really tried hard to get it flat. Failing 😐. Anymore tips. Don't have the pasta machine but having proble. with getting the back flat. Also looks like cracks showing. I added water and tried to smooth them. I a little frustrated but persistent none the less. Any tips would be greatly appreciated. BTW, I love Blitsy.com too. My go to store. But don't know how.I missed the moulds. Thank you again.
They are gorgeous. I know you said you like the creative clay better than Prima's, but which takes paint, stains, and dyes better? Have you experimented with that? Do they cause the paper to expand and lose shape if they get wet? I'm thinking of them for mixed be use. Thanks Corene (Corenescreations)!
Hey there! I am wondering the same thing myself about the Prima clay vs the creative paper clay. We just got prima at my Michaels and it is considerably cheaper. I would like to know how to give it a glossy finish. Paint or glossy polycrylic perhaps?
I did see a TH-cam video that said you can draw, use markers, and acrylic or oil paint on the creative paper clay..,don't know on the other one..,also wondering about rust paste etc..,

these are gorgeous. Can you paint them once dried? And how do you add to crafting, just normal glue?

Thank you! I usually use them as they are in the shabby white, but I also paint them to match my project. Thanks for stopping by!

How long should I let the clay dry
Overnight would be ideal.
@@corenescreations thank you
Perfect.,,I want to cover a wine bottle...and wasn't sure if glue was necessary with this clay .
Your links don't work for blitzy
how do you keep from warping?
If I want to use these moulds with polymer clay, can I bake them inside the moulds itself?
1991Shubhi no, take them out of the moulds and then bake on the sheet as you would with any other type of polymer clay project
🙂👍🏻
I use Air dry love it best ;) not stiff
💟💟💟💟💟
I love polymer, but gets tiring for hands ....
