    My moves instructor literally told me “you’ll never use offset in the real world alley dock and straight back is what you’ll use the most”

    100% Agree got my cdl in March and I didn’t know jack Sheet about driving.. learned more about driving with my mentor like you said being 4 weeks with him I learned a lot. True test begins when your solo. Just embrace the journey always..remember why you doing this.

      All facts! Training gave me the understanding I needed. Going solo was the best teacher 🙏🏽 … I appreciate you for watching and congrats on getting your CDL license

      Thank you! Yeah it definitely was overwhelming in the beginning. But after doing the same thing everyday, it starts to become easier and easier. Thankful I stayed consistent 🙏🏽

    To all those getting into trucking i have some advice , as a 37 year owner operator and chauffeurs license since 74 . Go with a small fleet trucking company if at all possible . The mega carriers , as a whole, will ALWAYS put your needs last.

    • @anthonywavestrucking
      @anthonywavestrucking  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I appreciate your advice. My first company is a midsize-small carrier. Best decision I could’ve made! ✊🏾💯

    Brehhh you got it out the mud foreal on this one. A week and change? Salute to holding your own in the field, considering where you started.
    Could you do a vid on your sleep schedule, resets, diet, and your ideal niche in trucking? (at your own convenience). This vid was clutch to 💪.

    • @anthonywavestrucking
      @anthonywavestrucking  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Preciate you watching brodi! I’ll try to make a more in-depth video soon. But my sleep schedule, I mostly drive overnight or early morning. I don’t have to but it’s easier to find parking that way. So anywhere from like 12am-4am is when I mostly start my day, everyday. As far as diet, I’m a skinny dude. Like 140-150 pounds, so I honestly eat whatever is convenient at the time. I buy groceries from Walmart like every other week and might stop in the truck stop here and there and grab food or drinks if I wanna switch it up & eat something different. And right now I mostly run reefer and dry van. 85% reefer and 15% dry can. (I have a reefer trailer btw) let me know if you have any other questions but more videos coming soon fasho 💪🏾💯

    Congrats to you. I feel like if more people were like you being very cautious paying attention we would have a very exceptional safe industry. Yeah they cram alot of knowledge technical information and on questionnaire screen you can answer everything correctly but when it comes to physically performing unless you have a trainer its all useless jibber jabber mumbo jumbo not mean anything.

      Thank you & thanks for watching. & the first day I got in my trainers truck he said “forget all that crap they taught you in CDL school, I’ma give you the real training you’ll need to survive out here”

    Did you tell your company you from Florida? When i say Florida, hear crickets on the other side.

    • @anthonywavestrucking
      @anthonywavestrucking  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I had the same experience back when I was trying to get hired…the company I’m with now was basically the only company really willing to give me a shot fresh out of CDL school and living in Florida. I referred a few guys off of TH-cam, but their saying the company is only hiring if you have at least 1 year experience now…it sucks bro

      @@anthonywavestrucking Thank you for your time bro. Sad reality, we have good companies in Florida, but, they won't hire new drivers from Florida. Want anywhere from year to 3 years. We have to go out of state to look for jobs.

    • @anthonywavestrucking
      @anthonywavestrucking  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I would say Transam or swift…just get your experience and then be out. 6-12 months and then go to a better company. It’s tough coming out of Florida because nobody wanna hire out of Florida right now. Me personally…I would start with Transam over swift.
