Transformers Prime is not bad at all,I don’t understand why people are hating on it so much all of sudden 10 years later, it’s not perfect but it’s my favorite TF show
I just started collecting Transformers figures this year, specifically Optimus Prime. I have about 40 Optimus figures. It's been really fun to get into it. That being said, Bishoujo Optimus Prime is the best figure of 2023 and probably my Holy Grail in my collection.
i can agree with you're number 1 pick, he's underrated and from that people think he's not good but i got him and my only problem is a massive streak of stress on one of his ear things, but yeah i agree fully can't wait to see top 10/20 worst of year vid Edit: my best of year that i got i think is the Titan Nemesis it's a titan that puts all others to shame its incredible
I wanted gamer edition prime to be so good, after having been obsessed with the original. It just didn't improve on the things that the 2010 version missed. Planet X spoiled us with the high moon designs. Armada Prime has to be my #1. Nothing else has been THAT solid, simple, effortless, and iconic for me this year. I recently got the Dirge repack and was in tears at all of the mold defects, thin plastic, and mold degradation.
Due to how limited my space is and the fact I collect 2 other franchises as well, I'm not sure I even bought 20 transformers this year. However, of those I did, I was really surprised at how much I love Studio Series Optimus Primal. I only bought it because he's technically a Prime but he's such a good figure. You can add Leo Prime, another one I bought that I ended up loving.
i only ended up getting 7 figures this year and they were the two packs from Walmart, I got the Arcee and Ironhide, Brawn and Ratchet, Sideways and Arcee, two packs, and then yesterday i was just looking at my local Walmart and behind a wall of Cloud Covers was Gamer edition Optimus Prime and thats my favorite figure of this year
Just got back into collecting and bumblebee movie arcee was the first figure I bought. It poses so nicely. And since I missed out on CW toys. I had to get legacy menasor as my first combiner. TOO COOL
I got Eris Armadon literally 2 days ago and I think it’s probably the design and deco but something about it just looks absolutely killer on display. And the posing options are bad ass I love shoulder cannons
Oh boy, do you really want to know? 1.) Dull, repetitive Macguffan hunt plots. 2.) "Dark" "mature" storytelling that constantly walked back its own consequences. 3.) More dull repetition from Arcee angsting over Cliffjumper. 4.) Empty cities and sterile environments - I know it's a budget thing with the CGI but it really hurt the sense that Megatron was a threat to anything beyond some rocks and empty buildings 5.) Megatron was just an idiot about pretty much everything. The plotting was very, very stupid. The show was all posture and no substance. I found it nearly unbearable and bailed midway through season 2.
my top 15 (technically 16 is probably super weird tbh) my number one favorite toy i got eas HftD Breacher. as well as him my list would probably be SS Rhinox, Legacy Inferno, Universal Studios Evac, Legacy Tarn, Legacy TM2 Megatron, SS BBM Arcee, Siege Hound, Baiwei Nemesis Prime, Legacy Needlenose, Legacy Energon Megatron, Hammond Collection Concavenator and Corythosaurus, Legacy Tazmania Kid, SS Noah and Battlemaster Optimus Primal. never thought a battlemaster would be even close to my top 15 but hes absolutely fantastic
Seeing the top 10 makes me happy that both the ROTB and WFC Optimus are on it, stilla bit on the fence on which one I should pick in the end but I'm happy that you enjoyed them this much.
I like how a lot if studio series weapons go over the arm instead of removing and replacing. My SS 01 bumblebee arm is in his box n I know I have that box...somewhere. mirage puts it right over top. Love it
Shattered Glass Jetfire is very fun. could use some weight in the feet and lower legs, and the wrists on my copy like to un-tab sometimes, but man is it fun. the way the hand port stows away is very nice and the transformation is fun. The 3 spots for headmaster pilots are cool too.
I'm glad you gave Armada Prime and Reactivate their props high up. My top ten would be: 10. Takara Rise of the Beasts Optimus Primal (missile launchers always get extra points with me) 9. Legacy Evolution Leo Prime 8. Legacy Evolution Nemesis Leo Prime 7. Reactivate Optimus Prime 6. Menasor Toy Colors Box Set 5. Armada Optimus Prime 4. Generations Select Antagony 3. Rise of the Beasts Mainline Airazor 2. Rise of the Beasts Mainline Rhinox 1. Legacy Transmetal 2 Megatron
For me the best 2023 toy is metagate shatter. The only reason this exist is because of black magic i don't see another reason. The three modes looks awesome and it's my first triple changer toy so yeah im biased
Happy new year ThatToyGuy! And to all! My top ten of 2023: 10. Dotm voyager Shockwave(og 2011) 9. BMB brawn 8. TFP Deadend 7. Rotb bumblebee 6. Rotb Buzzworthy prime 5.buzzworthy Jazz origin 4.bludgeon legacy 3. TLK voyager prime (kibble removed) 2. Mpm tf1 jazz 1.Mpm tf1 Ratchet
Epic list That Toy Guy!!! I didn't realize until watching your top Transformers list, but a majority of the Optimus Prime figures released in 2023 were must have figures. :D Happy New Year!! 🥳🎉Keep on being amazing.
Solid list 🔥I like Tarn more than Bludgeon tbh but nice picks My top 5 is 5. Legacy Nacelle 4. Rotb mainline Pablo 3. Legay Needlenose/Starscream 2. Legacy Prowl 1. Legacy Tarn Honorable mentions are Legay Bludgeon and Dotm Air Raid
My top 5 list for this year is 5: premium finish bumblebee movie prime 4: 86 snarl 3: earthrise skylinx 2: legacy rescue bots chase 1: 86 ultra Magnus now. Legacy armada prime would’ve been second BUT the leg panel snapped off 2 days after getting it and it’s super mode hands like to TEAR themselves apart, so yeah.
I actually have gamer and reactivate tied for best optimus prime of all time. Both total bangers, both minimal flaws. However soon ge will have the skight edge when the dna kit arrives in like 3-5 weeks.
my rough top 5 in no particular order. 1. mainline airrazor (the posing is limited but both modes are solid and the transformation does some interesting stuff) 2. velocitron clampdown (it's basic but everything works so well) 3. armada optimus 4. lego optimus prime (cheating a little as it isn't that good of a transformer but the fact that it's a lego set that can transform without partsforming means it gets a spot here) 5. authentics bravo starscream (it needs more paint and it transforms into the worst jet mode I've ever seen on a transformer but it's a fun and cheap little starscream that I cannot help but love)
Some of my top favourite figures in 2023 were GE Optimus Prime, L Armada Optimus Prime, Cybertron Crosswise, BWII Lio Convoy, Core Swoop, Core Grimlock, L Armada Megatron, Energon Bulkhead, Cybertron Bot Con Ramjet, Cybertron SDCC Skywarp, Core Optimus Prime and Bumblebee just to name a few.
yeah we have gotten alot of good figures this year. those are some good picks. dont really have any third party stuff so my list is all mainline. 10. Legacy Evolution Beach Comber 9. Legacy Evolution Nemesis Leo Prime 8. Legacy Evolution Nova Prime 7. Studio Series 86 Brawn 6. Legacy United Animated Bumblebee 5. Legacy Evolution Bludgeon 4. Legacy Evolution Armada Megatron 3. Legacy Evolution Dreadwing 2. Buzzworthy Bumblebee SS RotB Optimus Prime (breath) 1. Legacy Evolution Armada Optimus Prime. (yeah two Primes in a row lol) Great video.
You know it's funny. I actually did the same cutoff date for what I counted for best toy. Nothing after Deathsaurus counts because that was halfway through December.
I got back into transformers after 2022s christmas, so I got in 2023 a bunch of older figures which are on my list: 10. Earthrise Prime. A older figure but he is an all around great Optimus. The upcoming commander class ss86 Prime has a hard time topping the last few g1-ish Primes. 9. Kingdom Warpath. 8. ss86 Brawn. 7. Lio Convoy. I absolutely love the weapon storage on that guy. He is so fun to mess around with and I need to continue watching BWII. 6. Tarn has an incredible clean robot mode. 5. ss38 Bee movie Prime. He has fantastic engineering. 4. ss86 Snarl is so much fun to transform. 3. ss86 Grimlock. 2. Commander class ss86 Ultra Magnus is probably the closest thing to a masterpiece figure in the mainline toys. 1. Armada Optimus Prime. I have seen his design multiple times in my childhood and fell in love with it. So finally getting a proper figure while having watched the entire unicron trilogy for the first time this year made him instantly one of my favorite figures. He is without a doubt one of the figures with the most play value Hasbro has recently released. Armada Jetfire and Overload will be an instant pre order once they get announced!
My top 10 for the year is definitely: 1. Legacy Evo Lio Convoy 2. Legacy Evo Toxitron 3. Legacy Evo Animated Universe Prowl 4. Legacy Evo Toxitron Grimlock 5. SS 102 rotb Optimus Prime 6. SS 100 Rotb Bumblebee 7. Legacy Evo Bludgeon 8. Legacy Evo Origins Jazz 9. Legacy Evo Prime Universe Dreadwing 10. Legacy Evo Toxitron Mirage
Wow, I was not expecting GE Prime to be number 1 😅 but that’s cool. My top 10 are 10. Kingdom Pipes since he’s the only figure that made it home from my first ever Comic Con 9. Reactivate Soundwave, he’s better than people give him credit for 8. Legacy Wrecker Springer 7. The Ss86 Van mold 6. Ss TLK Hot Rod 5. Ss GE Prime 4. Siege Jetfire 3. Ss The Fallen 2. Reactivate Prime 1. The Legacy Tarn/Bludgeon mold
Great list! This year was so good for Transformers, I had a great time collecting and there were so many hits this year. I did a Top 23 this year. I'm in the process of writing it, and for the first time I'm strongly considering doing honourable mentions because there were some damn good toys that didn't quite make the list because it was such a stiff competition this time around. Hoping to round off my Reactivate quartet fairly soon, but I chose to prioritise 'Screamer and 'Bee over Optimus and Soundwave, mainly because I do like me a Starscream. 23: BWBB Voyager Nemesis Primal 22: Legacy Evolution Voyager Senator Shockwave 21: Legacy Evolution Voyager Miner Megatron 20: Universe 2 Deluxe Cyclonus 19: Gamer Edition Deluxe Bumblebee 18: Studio Series Deluxe 07 Jazz 17: Titans Return Deluxe Topspin/Wreck 'n' Rule Deluxe Twin Twist 16: Shattered Glass Deluxe Sideswipe and Whisper 15: Studio Series Voyager 07 Starscream 14: Legacy Evolution Leader Nova Prime (Cam on DNA, reissue the Galaxy Prime kit in white!) 13: Gamer Edition Voyager Optimus Prime 12: Legacy Evolution Leader Skyquake 11: MMC R-24 Turben/ IDW _Stormbringer_ Whirl 10: RotF Deluxe Breakaway 9: Legacy Evolution Deluxe Animated Prowl 8: Generations Deluxe Darkmount (Straxus) 7: Generations (Japan) Deluxe Megatronus (IDW Megatron) 6: Legacy Evolution Leader Armada Megatron (With Sam's Forge kit) 5: Reactivate Voyager Starscream 4: Shattered Glass Voyager Rodimus 3: Legacy Evolution Commander Armada Optimus Prime 2: Flame Toys Megatron (IDW Autobot Ver.) 1: Legacy Evolution Voyager Tarn/Legacy Evolution Voyager Bludgeon
My favorite 15 transformers I got this year… 15. WFC Megatron 14. Legacy Metroplex 13. SS ROTB Scourge 12. Netflix Soundwave 11. Legacy Leo Prime 10. SS ROTB Cheetor 9. SS 86 Ratchet 8. SS ROTB Optimus Primal 7. SS Nest Bumblebee 6. SS ROTB Optimus Prime 5. WFC Optimus Prime 4. Legacy Tarn 3. Reactivate Optimus Prime 2. Legacy Bludgeon 1. SS ROTB Bumblebee
I got 102 and primal along with some other things for christmas, but one of my chains is cracked. It still is usable, but i worry that it might break....i wouldve used it for so many things, but now i just put them on a shelf and never touch them. Also i am in love with 102 and im so glad my mom managed to find one. Also my ge prime has the losest right biceps swivel imaginable, so i dont mess with him at all
My top 20 is 20:ss crosshairs 19: ss bbm soundwave 18: legacy bomb burst 17: ss helicopter dropkick 16: ss jolt 15: legacy bulkhead 14: ss sweep 13: ss preceptor 12: legacy knockout 11: ss bbm wheeljack 10: ss bbm ratchet 9: ss brawn 8: legacy towline 7:legacy skullgrin 6: ss dotm megatron 5: rotb mainline optimus 4: ss leader class starscream 3: ss bumblebee rotb 2: ss sideways 1:ss bbm optimus ( scourge repaint)
my whole collection started in 2023, so to pick just a few faavourits is hard, then again, i only have a bit under 30 figures so far. my favourites as of right now are definetelly SS BBM Ratchet, Arcee and Starscream, and SS ROTB Primal and Rhinox
I didn't get enough Transformers toys in 2023 to make a top 10, but I got 2 pretty fun toys, and 2 that I absolutely adore. So, uh, top 4? 4 - Reactivate Bumblebee: I got the Reactivate Bumblebee & Starscream 2-pack because of your review, and I do not regret it in the slightest. It took me a while to figure out Bumblebee's transformation proper (and several rewatches of your video), but once I got over that hurdle, he was surprisingly fun to mess around with. My only complaints are the eyes not being very clearly visible, and the chest untabbing a bit too easily. 3 - Studio Series Gamer Edition Megatron: Controversial pick, I'm sure. Poor old senior Megatron can't bend his knees, but at least it's a simple fix. (Unlike Barricade from the same line, that's the true enemy) Regardless, even with the senior citizen knees, I've been having a surprising amount of fun messing with this toy, even if only for the fact that it's Megatron. I really like how you can use the double-jointed elbows and forearm rotation together to substitute for a wrist swivel, which he couldn't have thanks to the way he transforms. Aside from that, it's also where I discovered the true joy of 5mm ports, and I love using that functionality to deck him out with all sorts of weird weapons. 2 - Reactivate Starscream: A 2-pack of Bumblebee and Starscream, with only one waist swivel between them...and it's Starscream's. The irony of that will never not be funny. But man, this thing rocks, and I'm so glad it showed up in this video too. Love the look of this toy - blue-eyed Starscream works surprisingly well, and the jet mode is just so joyously swooshable that I have a hard time putting it down. I'd wager this is one of the best Seeker moulds we've ever gotten, because it effortlessly does what so many others have struggled with. 1 - Studio Series Gamer Edition Optimus Prime: I got all giddy when this showed up here, especially at the spot it did. I could talk for ages about the incredible posability and the endlessly-addicting transformation, but honestly, I think this thing speaks for itself. However, I love this toy for a more deeply personal reason. I may have never played War for Cybertron, but I did collect a lot of Transformers when I was a kid...then I threw them all away, and it's been one of the biggest regrets of my life. But one fateful day, as I was getting back into the series, I decided to pick this up, and it made me so happy that I felt like a kid again. This thing single-handedly rekindled my love for Transformers, after over a decade without my childhood toys. It showed me everything I'd been missing out on in the years between, and just how great Transformers can be in the present day. As for this year, I was thinking of getting Bludgeon next - the fact that he showed up here too is very reassuring.
I did not see that number one coming after Ultra Magnus, Legacy Armada Prime, and MP Bonecrusher were pushed further down, but interesting choice and one of the few figs I didn't grab up after the first handful of reviews. Planning to eventually if he ever restocks. With your channel as many others contributing to upwards 40 TF purchases in one year I found there were very few disappointments. Didn't particularly like Earthrise Double Dealer, Miner Megtron had pathetic Q/C and Tarn was just underwhelming and suffered from literally no knees. Bludgeon totally made up for him with a superior head sculp, eye catching colors, better Q/C and an awesome sword. Top 5 for me off the top of my head as I'm a casual collector more than anything. 1.) SS 86 Ultra Magnus 2.)Armada legacy Optimus Prime 3.)Legacy Bludgeon 4.)Legacy Nova Prime 5.)SS 86 Ironhide and Ratchet respectively. Honorable mention to SS Mirage as I expected to really dislike him, but despite the over engineering quite straight forward to transform, and other than the door kibble decently articulated and solid despite the clear plastic.
5. Bludgeon, super posable, though the tank admittedly isn't great; 4. Gamer Prime, looks great, fun, good transformation; 3. Deathsaurus. Only my 2nd high-end guy (Saber being the 1st(, and is hugely impressive, i had a friend who vaguely knows transformers come into my room and immediately he was like "what the f*** is THAT?!" 2. Commander Armada Prime. I think Dr. Lockdown said my feelings the best on it. Armada Prime was my 3rd or 4th Transformer ever, and i still have my original (and started noticing some GPS and other issues sadly), and it is such a pure, fun, impactful update of that toy, I literally yave no complaints other than no Mini-Con; 1, speaking of Armada Prime, I finally forked over the money on an Armada Jetfire to complete the set and give Prime his flying pants. My life mission is complete and i can die a happy man (at least until we get updated versions for Legacy Prime so they can fist bump each other)
I'm not sure if I got 20 figures but in my top tier list: SS86 Ultra Magnus for sure. It's a great figure, but I would have traded the removable limb gimmick for ratcheted shoulders with underarm fillers (like SS86 Wreck-Gar and Ironhide) and more distinct cab grill and headlight paint. Legacy Armada Optimus Prime. It's a damn good toy, but with some engineering issues. I really don't like how the grille slots into the backpack for super mode. The friction caused mine to lose some paint and in a very visible spot in robot mode. I honestly don't think this design needed to slot in like that as the shoulder tabs and waist locks do the bulk of the job. I may remove those inner rails at some point. Legacy Windblade it's amazing to me that they finally got a Windblade that feels as solid as this in both vehicle and robot mode and fits in with the rest of my collection, so not so highly stylized as say a Titans Return or that Warrior Class mold. Legacy Animated BB. I see a lot of negative comments on his size but in robot mode, he's taller than the Netflix BB mold. His shoulders are weird too but I'm amazed at how often I pick him up to pose him and transform him. I think they could use the transformation scheme to make a really decent G1 BB. Buzzworthy Quintesson Trooper. It's amazing how that mold with that paint job just makes a somewhat boring Alicon mold from Siege into something really gorgeous. The new head and new paint layout, it's way better than the Quintesson Bailiff for sure. Legacy Menasor...even though he's five robots sold separately. I completed this guy early last year just around the time Breakdown was released in January and promptly sold my Unite Warriors set. It's not PERFECT but a new sword and hubcap fillers for Dragstrip really worked wonders on this set. I'm really hoping Hasbro remakes Bruticus in this fashion. Legacy Leo Prime. Aside from a somewhat derped lion mode face, which can be fixed with some paint in the same way Tigatron was painted, the robot mode and transformation are really on point. I LOVE the idea of Lion Beast Wars Optimus, more than Optimus Primal. I actually kind wish this was the Optimus Primal we got for Beast Wars originally, then maybe we could stop hearing "TRUKK NOT MUNKEY!" from everyone that hates Beast Wars. Even a friend of mine that hates the idea of a gorilla Optimus was impressed by Leo Prime. Generations Selects Galvatron. You know, the G!/Marvel Comics colored version? It's such a great color variation and I love that Hasbro did this. I would probably not have picked him up if he wasn't like $20 on sale at Amazon when I ordered him. At this price I could damn well make some room for another Galvatron aned I'm glad I did. I had the original G1 Galvatron when I was but a wee Robohon and having this new toy in hand really brought back some nostalgia. Generations Selects Deep Cover. This is the all black version and I got the Noneff weapons set to go with it. The Siege Lambo mold is so nice as a variant from the Kingdom Earth mode version and with the side windows having the space for the badges, well it's just slick as hell. I love that I can still put a police light bar on the roof too. Great looking figure. Despite being a repaint of Siege Sideswipe, it's a great addition to the Lambo Bros collection. Siege Jetfire...the reissue. DAMN, I hesitated for SO LONG on this. The sheer size and him being taller than combiner and me already having the Takara Legacy version of Jetfire kept me from ordering this guy, but I finally ordered the more recent reissue and I am SO glad I did. Apart from the armor being something to drop in a parts bin, the base figure is as damn close to a Perfect Jetfire as I could have wished. I had a friend that had the G1 Jetfire as a kid and I always remember it just being a Robotech Valkyrie but also thinking it was kinda big, but damn, this new figure is so huge. My first Commander Class was Sky Lynx, but I can now see why people liked the Commander Class figures when Jetfire was released. There's just...I can't think of a legit complaint for this figure that is a deal breaker for me. Your mileage may vary, but I wish I bought him sooner. Anyway, that's my top ten, though not in any particular order aside from maybe Jetfire being my #1. If you twisted my arm I could probably rank the rest, but for now...no, lol.
I've been wrestling with my top ten, because It's been kind of a crazy year for figures My top five at least are WFC SS Optimus Prime, SSROTB bumblebee, Legacy Strongarm, Reactivate Bumbleebee And Legacy Lio Prime as my figure of the year. Lio prime, has basically become one of my favourite transformers toys of all time, he's been on my desk since I got him in January, and I haven't stopped transforming him since. I gave the lion face I minor touch up by painting in his pupils and outlining his eyes and gums with some black, so now he looks like a proper lion. Getting Nemesis Lio and Tasmania kid now has me desperate for a bw2 Galvatron in Legacy.
My top 10 of the year 10. Legacy Evo Tarn/Bludgeon 9. Legacy Evo Skyquake 8. MP Burnout 7. Mainline ROTB Airazor 6. SS ROTB optimus prime 5. SS ROTB Optimus Primal 4. Reactivate Optimus prime 3. Reactivate Starscream 2. Legacy Evo Armada Megatron (With Upgrade kit) 1. Legacy Evo Commander Armada Optimus Prime
Here’s my top 5 figures I reviewed as of 2023 (I may put more than one figure in a spot cuz I may only have a few from a the line it originates from and the figures are all good): Honorable Mentions: N.E.S.T Bonecrusher, N.E.S.T Bumblebee, Legacy Origins Jazz, SS RotF The Fallen, SS Bumblebee Movie Brawn #5: MechTech Bumblebee and MechTech Optimus Prime. Both are accurate, no faux forming, and despite the kibble on both figures, they’re both amazing #4: SS RotB Rhinox. One of the better maximal figures I got, definitely better than Airazor. No kibble decent articulation, is actually accurate *cough cough Airazor* and is fun to transform #3: Earthspark Twitch. One of the only ES figures I got, and out of all of them, this one is the best. I don’t have any other ES figures, but from what I’ve seen, besides Bumblebee, the rest suck #2: SS RotB Bumblebee. Do I even need to explain? This is the best Bumblebee #1: FansHobby Meg Tyranno MB-17 (Not Armada Megatron). My one and only 3rd party figure and lemme say, besides the slightly loose head, it’s AMAZING! Nice tight joints, a good lot of specialty joints, lotta playability
My top 10 figures I got this year probably goes like this 10. Legacy Tarn/Bludgeon 9. Combiner Wars Liokaiser 8. Studio Series 86 Snarl 7. Studio Series 86 Ironhide/Ratchet 6. Commander Jetfire 5. Legacy Nova Prime 4. Gen Selects Black Zarak 3. Commander Class Armada Optimus 2. Haslab Deathsaurus 1. My holiest of grails, G1 Overlord This year was full of great finds for me, personally. Here's to 2024, happy hunting to all!
ive only bought one transformer last year and it was kuro kara Tarn action figure honestly ive spoiled myself and cant find more figures of same quality so now im watching vids to try and see if there is more like him only other on my list are kuro kara kuri Megatron and mby planet x Shockwave wish me good luck looking for them :3
I wanted the gamer edition prime for a while and when I finally got him, I loved it! Seeing this video made me happy with my decision. Edit: I’ve been looking for Iron Warrior for forever, but they keep selling out😢
My top 10 favorite figures of 2023 is 1: SS 69 Devastator 2: Buzzworthy Bumblebee SS07 Grimlock 3: SS106 Optimus Primal 4: SS66 Overload 5: SS55 Scavenger 6:SS 103 Rhinox 7: SS 98 Cheetor 8: SS 93 Hot Rod 9:SS52 Arcee, Chromia, and Elita 1 10: SS97 Airazor and for a honorable mention SS08 Blackout
You said you wanted to see our own lists, here’s mine (worst to best growing down) 20: legacy armada starscream 19: studio series reissue grimlock 18: game edition megatron 17: Legacy core class shockwave 16: Legacy bludgeon 15: legacy Armada Megatron 14: Legacy turantulas 13: MP Ironhide 12: SS ROTB Bee 11: Legacy Armada Hotshot 10: SS 86 Prowl 9: Legacy Towline 8: legacy Elita-1 7: Legacy Lio Convoy 6: Game edition Optimus Prime 5: SS ROTB Bee 4: Legacy Needlenose 3: MP Prowl 2: Jinbao Optimum warrior (KO DX9 commander Dutch (Optimus) 1: legacy commander Optimus
Crazy how this year was dominated by several fantastic Optimus Primes
Especially since we are gonna get a commander class one in the studio series this year
You could say it was Primetime for the franchise
Still just want that 86 Optimus
As it should be. If they released a bad optimus prime, people would riot
I love the predaking mold. You can remove the springloaded mechanism to have a better dragon mode, with extended neck
First video of the year
Transformers Prime is not bad at all,I don’t understand why people are hating on it so much all of sudden 10 years later, it’s not perfect but it’s my favorite TF show
I just started collecting Transformers figures this year, specifically Optimus Prime. I have about 40 Optimus figures. It's been really fun to get into it.
That being said, Bishoujo Optimus Prime is the best figure of 2023 and probably my Holy Grail in my collection.
i can agree with you're number 1 pick, he's underrated and from that people think he's not good
but i got him and my only problem is a massive streak of stress on one of his ear things, but yeah i agree fully
can't wait to see top 10/20 worst of year vid
Edit: my best of year that i got i think is the Titan Nemesis
it's a titan that puts all others to shame its incredible
I wanted gamer edition prime to be so good, after having been obsessed with the original. It just didn't improve on the things that the 2010 version missed. Planet X spoiled us with the high moon designs.
Armada Prime has to be my #1. Nothing else has been THAT solid, simple, effortless, and iconic for me this year. I recently got the Dirge repack and was in tears at all of the mold defects, thin plastic, and mold degradation.
Yooo wassup
Due to how limited my space is and the fact I collect 2 other franchises as well, I'm not sure I even bought 20 transformers this year. However, of those I did, I was really surprised at how much I love Studio Series Optimus Primal. I only bought it because he's technically a Prime but he's such a good figure. You can add Leo Prime, another one I bought that I ended up loving.
i only ended up getting 7 figures this year and they were the two packs from Walmart, I got the Arcee and Ironhide, Brawn and Ratchet, Sideways and Arcee, two packs, and then yesterday i was just looking at my local Walmart and behind a wall of Cloud Covers was Gamer edition Optimus Prime and thats my favorite figure of this year
I KNEW the Burger king foot lettuce joke was coming!
My favourite I got this year is Legacy Leadfoot - either him or SS 86 Brawn
Never heard anyone hate on TF prime.. i love the show! Idk what peoples issue would be
Oh boy, do you really want to know?
1.) Dull, repetitive Macguffan hunt plots.
2.) "Dark" "mature" storytelling that constantly walked back its own consequences.
3.) More dull repetition from Arcee angsting over Cliffjumper.
4.) Empty cities and sterile environments - I know it's a budget thing with the CGI but it really hurt the sense that Megatron was a threat to anything beyond some rocks and empty buildings
5.) Megatron was just an idiot about pretty much everything. The plotting was very, very stupid.
The show was all posture and no substance. I found it nearly unbearable and bailed midway through season 2.
I think someone doesn’t like the show
the top one for me this year is none other than mpm megatron, wanted it since day one of release and got it recently. got it for a good price too
my top 15 (technically 16 is probably super weird tbh) my number one favorite toy i got eas HftD Breacher.
as well as him my list would probably be SS Rhinox, Legacy Inferno, Universal Studios Evac, Legacy Tarn, Legacy TM2 Megatron, SS BBM Arcee, Siege Hound, Baiwei Nemesis Prime, Legacy Needlenose, Legacy Energon Megatron, Hammond Collection Concavenator and Corythosaurus, Legacy Tazmania Kid, SS Noah and Battlemaster Optimus Primal.
never thought a battlemaster would be even close to my top 15 but hes absolutely fantastic
My top five list is Dreadnok Soundwave, mpm blackout, mpm bonecrusher, ss primal, rotf bruticus maximus
What happened to the shelf at 0:23
The Optimus Primes will continue until morale improves.
Another video from the up and coming goat of transformers 😎 Happy New Year 🎉💥🎉
Seeing the top 10 makes me happy that both the ROTB and WFC Optimus are on it, stilla bit on the fence on which one I should pick in the end but I'm happy that you enjoyed them this much.
My top three I got cuz I’m just getting into it 3earth rise optumis prime 2mpm4 nemesis prime and 1 mpm 14 bone crusher
My top ten would be:
10. Takara Rise of the Beasts Optimus Primal (missile launchers always get extra points with me)
9. Legacy Evolution Leo Prime
8. Legacy Evolution Nemesis Leo Prime
7. Reactivate Optimus Prime
6. Menasor Toy Colors Box Set
5. Armada Optimus Prime
4. Generations Select Antagony
3. Rise of the Beasts Mainline Airazor
2. Rise of the Beasts Mainline Rhinox
1. Legacy Transmetal 2 Megatron
For me the best 2023 toy is metagate shatter. The only reason this exist is because of black magic i don't see another reason. The three modes looks awesome and it's my first triple changer toy so yeah im biased
Happy new year ThatToyGuy! And to all!
My top ten of 2023:
10. Dotm voyager Shockwave(og 2011)
9. BMB brawn
8. TFP Deadend
7. Rotb bumblebee
6. Rotb Buzzworthy prime
5.buzzworthy Jazz origin
4.bludgeon legacy
3. TLK voyager prime (kibble removed)

4:16 I knew this was coming the moment I heard you pronounce "20" in this tone 🤣🤣🤣🤣
Epic list That Toy Guy!!! I didn't realize until watching your top Transformers list, but a majority of the Optimus Prime figures released in 2023 were must have figures. :D Happy New Year!! 🥳🎉Keep on being amazing.
Solid list 🔥I like Tarn more than Bludgeon tbh but nice picks
My top 5 is
5. Legacy Nacelle
4. Rotb mainline Pablo
3. Legay Needlenose/Starscream
2. Legacy Prowl
1. Legacy Tarn
Honorable mentions are Legay Bludgeon and Dotm Air Raid
My top 5 list for this year is
5: premium finish bumblebee movie prime
4: 86 snarl
3: earthrise skylinx
2: legacy rescue bots chase
1: 86 ultra Magnus
now. Legacy armada prime would’ve been second BUT the leg panel snapped off 2 days after getting it and it’s super mode hands like to TEAR themselves apart, so yeah.
And just like with that toy guy, these are only figures I got this year
I actually have gamer and reactivate tied for best optimus prime of all time. Both total bangers, both minimal flaws. However soon ge will have the skight edge when the dna kit arrives in like 3-5 weeks.
my rough top 5 in no particular order.
1. mainline airrazor (the posing is limited but both modes are solid and the transformation does some interesting stuff)
2. velocitron clampdown (it's basic but everything works so well)
3. armada optimus
4. lego optimus prime (cheating a little as it isn't that good of a transformer but the fact that it's a lego set that can transform without partsforming means it gets a spot here)
5. authentics bravo starscream (it needs more paint and it transforms into the worst jet mode I've ever seen on a transformer but it's a fun and cheap little starscream that I cannot help but love)
Legacy Tarn is the best mainline tranformer figure
He is beautiful, Transformers Prime always had the best designs in my opinion
Great list. Love the "Chills" references.
Happy new year brother! It's been a great year for collectors, and your channel! Happy to see you hit such big milestones!
Some of my top favourite figures in 2023 were GE Optimus Prime, L Armada Optimus Prime, Cybertron Crosswise, BWII Lio Convoy, Core Swoop, Core Grimlock, L Armada Megatron, Energon Bulkhead, Cybertron Bot Con Ramjet, Cybertron SDCC Skywarp, Core Optimus Prime and Bumblebee just to name a few.

the reactivate starscream , imo, would make for a great mold for windblade and slipstream. its slim and sleek like they are
15- Burger king foot lettuce
Top 10 references I did not expect in a transformers video?
My top 1 is the Transform Mission IDW Stunticons. Absolutely worth it and such a good design

17. Studio Series 104 Nightbird
18. Legacy G2 Cloudcover
19. Studio Series 86-12 Coronation Starscream
20. ROTB Mainline Nightbird
You know it's funny. I actually did the same cutoff date for what I counted for best toy. Nothing after Deathsaurus counts because that was halfway through December.
I would like to see Gamer edition star scream on Wednesday
I got back into transformers after 2022s christmas, so I got in 2023 a bunch of older figures which are on my list:
I got legacy metroplex and black zarak this year. They both made my top 5
Best toy I got in 2023 was TF Adventures drift, love it’s design and vehicle mode
My top 10 for the year is definitely:
1. Legacy Evo Lio Convoy
2. Legacy Evo Toxitron
3. Legacy Evo Animated Universe Prowl
4. Legacy Evo Toxitron Grimlock
5. SS 102 rotb Optimus Prime
6. SS 100 Rotb Bumblebee
7. Legacy Evo Bludgeon
8. Legacy Evo Origins Jazz
9. Legacy Evo Prime Universe Dreadwing
10. Legacy Evo Toxitron Mirage
I love how ‘22 had little to no Optimus’ (Optimi?) so Hasbro decided to spend the entire budget on Optimus this time
well glad i got my hands on the number 1 pick and the #2 is on preorder
Wow, I was not expecting GE Prime to be number 1 😅 but that’s cool.
My top 10 are
10. Kingdom Pipes since he’s the only figure that made it home from my first ever Comic Con
9. Reactivate Soundwave, he’s better than people give him credit for
8. Legacy Wrecker Springer
7. The Ss86 Van mold
6. Ss TLK Hot Rod
5. Ss GE Prime
4. Siege Jetfire
3. Ss The Fallen
2. Reactivate Prime
1. The Legacy Tarn/Bludgeon mold
I'd say my top 5 over the last year(in no particular order) was NEST Bonecrusher, Bludgeon, Core Ravage, Mainline ROTB Prime, and SS Rhinox.
23: BWBB Voyager Nemesis Primal
22: Legacy Evolution Voyager Senator Shockwave
21: Legacy Evolution Voyager Miner Megatron
20: Universe 2 Deluxe Cyclonus
19: Gamer Edition Deluxe Bumblebee

4: Shattered Glass Voyager Rodimus
3: Legacy Evolution Commander Armada Optimus Prime
2: Flame Toys Megatron (IDW Autobot Ver.)
1: Legacy Evolution Voyager Tarn/Legacy Evolution Voyager Bludgeon
My favourite this year is Metalhawk. I've been playing with it almost none stop. Shame he didn't get a landning gear though
My favorite 15 transformers I got this year…
15. WFC Megatron

4. Legacy Tarn
3. Reactivate Optimus Prime
2. Legacy Bludgeon
1. SS ROTB Bumblebee
My fav figure this year is def SS scourge
I got 102 and primal along with some other things for christmas, but one of my chains is cracked. It still is usable, but i worry that it might break....i wouldve used it for so many things, but now i just put them on a shelf and never touch them. Also i am in love with 102 and im so glad my mom managed to find one. Also my ge prime has the losest right biceps swivel imaginable, so i dont mess with him at all
You could fit the whole list with just Primes and Primals from this year and I'd stand by it
My top 20 is
20:ss crosshairs
19: ss bbm soundwave
18: legacy bomb burst
17: ss helicopter dropkick
16: ss jolt
15: legacy bulkhead
14: ss sweep
13: ss preceptor
12: legacy knockout
11: ss bbm wheeljack
10: ss bbm ratchet
9: ss brawn
8: legacy towline
7:legacy skullgrin
6: ss dotm megatron
5: rotb mainline optimus
4: ss leader class starscream
3: ss bumblebee rotb
2: ss sideways
1:ss bbm optimus ( scourge repaint)
my whole collection started in 2023, so to pick just a few faavourits is hard, then again, i only have a bit under 30 figures so far. my favourites as of right now are definetelly SS BBM Ratchet, Arcee and Starscream, and SS ROTB Primal and Rhinox
1.) SS 86 Ultra Magnus
2.)Armada legacy Optimus Prime
3.)Legacy Bludgeon
4.)Legacy Nova Prime
5.)SS 86 Ironhide and Ratchet respectively.
My life mission is complete and i can die a happy man (at least until we get updated versions for Legacy Prime so they can fist bump each other)
My SS Bumblebee is great, but I don't touch it anymore since the left leg is so loose that it sometimes just falls off.
I'm not sure if I got 20 figures but in my top tier list:
SS86 Ultra Magnus for sure.
If you twisted my arm I could probably rank the rest, but for now...no, lol.
happy new years!
9:11 honestly it's using ss bb movie blitzwing mold
top 3 figures I got this year: Metagate Shatter, M06 Black Apple Ironhide, and MPM Bonecrusher
I've been wrestling with my top ten, because It's been kind of a crazy year for figures
My top five at least are WFC SS Optimus Prime, SSROTB bumblebee, Legacy Strongarm, Reactivate Bumbleebee
And Legacy Lio Prime as my figure of the year.
Commander Class Armada Optimus is easily my favorite figure of the year. Nuff said.
Happy New Year!
I picked up a gamer edition prime the other day and he is amazing. Absolutely get one if you can.
Gamer Prime is great, Animated Prime is one I hope to find somewhere.

My top 5 in no particular order are SS102 Optimus Prime, Magic Square MP Optimus Prime, Maketoys MP Starscream, Planet X Foc Grimlock and Legacy Tarn
Here’s my top 5 figures I reviewed as of 2023 (I may put more than one figure in a spot cuz I may only have a few from a the line it originates from and the figures are all good):
Honorable Mentions: N.E.S.T Bonecrusher, N.E.S.T Bumblebee, Legacy Origins Jazz, SS RotF The Fallen, SS Bumblebee Movie Brawn
#5: MechTech Bumblebee and MechTech Optimus Prime. Both are accurate, no faux forming, and despite the kibble on both figures, they’re both amazing
#4: SS RotB Rhinox. One of the better maximal figures I got, definitely better than Airazor. No kibble decent articulation, is actually accurate *cough cough Airazor* and is fun to transform
#3: Earthspark Twitch. One of the only ES figures I got, and out of all of them, this one is the best. I don’t have any other ES figures, but from what I’ve seen, besides Bumblebee, the rest suck
#2: SS RotB Bumblebee. Do I even need to explain? This is the best Bumblebee
#1: FansHobby Meg Tyranno MB-17 (Not Armada Megatron). My one and only 3rd party figure and lemme say, besides the slightly loose head, it’s AMAZING! Nice tight joints, a good lot of specialty joints, lotta playability
My top 10 figures I got this year probably goes like this
10. Legacy Tarn/Bludgeon
9. Combiner Wars Liokaiser
