I am a convert, and I'm so glad that I am a Muslim now. At first mom doesn't want to and my sister disowned me but eventually they accept and support me instead. They know it's haram to eat pig, they separate my food if the food they're about to eat is pork. They accept how i dress now. The hijab. The prayer. I am happy I converted. Alhamdulillah

I've watched a lot of documentaries on youtube but this has got to be the best...MashaAllah..... Amy from Wales is very lively, ecstatic and has a pure heart, her energy and naivety is just fascinating. May Allah keep her happy throughout her life. Changing your religion and lifestyle despite the family and cultural restrictions isn't a walk in the park, despite their tough decision they all seem very content and jovial and that is the best part. I pray and hope they’re living happily even today after 17 years

I agree, I especially want to hear Amina's followup story, since she, her husband and kids decided to move to Yemen. Makes me wonder, are they still alive (curious because of the Saudi backed Yemen Civil War)? If they are still alive, are they still living in Yemen, if they didn't leave Yemen because of the civil war, how do they cope with it? Insha'Allah her family is doing alright and isn't suffering due to the civil war.
djargus I’ll give you an update on Ameena I don’t know anything about the others. Ameena is alive Alhamdulillah she’s still a Muslim in fact she teaches mainly us Sisters our religion. She’s an exception to us all we are honoured to have her in our society. One could learn so much from her with what she teaches.

This documentary was based over 20 years ago. She did go Yemen but not for a long time she came back UK and currently lives here with her family.

The reporter was the wrong person for this documentary. She is not an open thinker and was trying to make the immoral practice as acceptable. The women she interviewed were very intelligent and completely expressed and exercised their choice and freedom to be who and what they wanted. There was no tac from them or their family and friends but there was from the reporter as she could not even select the right vocabulary. Women play a very important role and have a very high status compared to the where they are placed by certain cultures and society. Islam in fact is the most Modern religion i have found regarding Women. In so called democratic society it appears to struggle to accept such women because of being muslim and their choice of how to be present in the wider society. Definitely wrong reporter for the subject.

CASE OF HAFSA CATCHING MUHAMMAD WITH SLAVE GIRL MARIYA THE COPT
Here is a host of Muslim sources that affirm that Hafsah caught Muhammad in her house with Mariyah, with some of them also claiming that Q. 66:1-5 was "revealed" in connection with this event:
O Prophet! Why do you prohibit what God has made lawful for you, in terms of your Coptic handmaiden Mariya - when he lay with her in the house of Hafsa, who had been away, but who upon returning [and finding out] became upset by the fact that this had taken place in her own house and on her own bed - by saying, 'She is unlawful for me!', seeking, by making her unlawful [for you], to please your wives? And God is Forgiving, Merciful, having forgiven you this prohibition. (Tafsir al-Jalalayn; source; bold and italic emphasis ours)
Verily God has prescribed, He has made lawful, for you [when necessary] the absolution of your oaths, to absolve them by expiation, as mentioned in the surat al-Ma'ida [Q. 5:89] and the forbidding of [sexual relations with] a handmaiden counts as an oath, so did the Prophet (s) expiate? Muqatil [b. Sulayman] said, 'He set free a slave [in expiation] for his prohibition of Mariya'; whereas al-Hasan [al-Basri] said, 'He never expiated, because the Prophet (s) has been forgiven [all errors]'. And God is your Protector, your Helper, and He is the Knower, the Wise. (Tafsir al-Jalalayn; source; bold and italic emphasis ours)
And, mention, when the Prophet confided to one of his wives, namely, Hafsa, a certain matter, which was his prohibition of Mariya, telling her: 'Do not reveal it!'; but when she divulged it, to 'A’isha, reckoning there to be no blame in [doing] such a thing, and God apprised him, He informed him, of it, of what had been divulged, he announced part of it, to Hafsa, and passed over part, out of graciousness on his part. So when he told her about it, she said, 'Who told you this?' He said, 'I was told by the Knower, the Aware', namely, God. (Tafsir al-Jalalayn; source; bold and italic emphasis ours)
If the two of you, namely, Hafsa and 'A’isha, repent to God … for your hearts were certainly inclined, towards the prohibition of Mariya, that is to say, your keeping this secret despite [knowing] the Prophet's (s) dislike of it, which is itself a sin (the response to the conditional ['if the two of you repent to God'] has been omitted, to be understood as, 'it will be accepted of both of you'; the use of [the plural] qulub, 'hearts', instead of [the dual] qalbayn, 'both [your] hearts', is on account of the cumbersomeness of putting two duals together in what is effectively the same word); and if you support one another (tazzahara: the original second ta' [of tatazahara] has been assimilated with the za'; a variant reading has it without [this assimilation, tazahara]) against him, that is, the Prophet, in what he is averse to, then [know that] God, He (huwa, [a pronoun] for separation) is indeed his Protector, His supporter, and Gabriel, and the righteous among the believers, Abu Bakr and 'Umar, may God be pleased with both of them (wa-Jibrilu wa-salihu'l-mu'minina is a supplement to the [syntactical] locus of the subject of inna [sc. 'God']), who will [also] be his supporters, and the angels furthermore, further to the support of God and those mentioned, are his supporters, assistants of his, in supporting him [to prevail] over both of you. (Tafsir al-Jalalayn; source; bold and underline emphasis ours)
And from his narration on the authority of Ibn 'Abbas that he said regarding the interpretation of Allah's saying (O Prophet!): '(O Prophet!) i.e. Muhammad (pbuh). (Why bannest thou that which Allah hath made lawful for thee) i.e. marrying Maria the Copt, the Mother of Ibrahim; that is because he had forbidden himself from marrying her, (seeking to please thy wives) seeking the pleasure of your wives 'A'ishah and Hafsah by forbidding yourself from marrying Maria the Copt? (And Allah is Forgiving) He forgives you, (Merciful) about that oath. (Tanwîr al-Miqbâs min Tafsîr Ibn ‘Abbâs; source; bold and italic emphasis ours)
@@samp5079 Brother, to blame a person who never committed adultery before marriage married with 15 years older lady at age of 25, and during 25 years married life up to age 50 Mohammad never looked for extra-marital affairs at sex peak, doesn't seem logical. I challenge you to prove that non-muslims living in those times among Muslims or in Europe questioning these things which were a norm in those times and Islam was the best solution to give prisoner and women rights. Repent and come to the Truth, preached by all Prophets and Christ ( otherwise if Trinity were the basic truth of monotheism than would have been taught and explained by every Prophet to his Nation again and again) I hope you have enough brain unlike CP to understand this Truth which can set you free.

What makes you believe that Muhammad is a prophet from the TRUE and HOLY God?

Here I have listed a set of examples on how he viewed women; What his Allah told him about women!
1. BEATING ADVISED IN QURAN
Muhammad beat his wives. -Aisha herself admits : Shahi Muslim: bk. 4, no. 2127
Muhammad's companions also beat his (Muhammad’s) wives and other women.
Abu Bakr slapped A'isha on the neck, and Umar did the same to Hafsa. (Mishkat Al-Masabih: vol. 2, p. 690; Muslim: bk. 9, no. 3506 ALSO Bukhari: vol. 6, bk. 60, no. 132,
Muhammad's companions beat their own wives. Mishkat Al-Masabih: vol. 2, p. 692
In the Qur'an Muhammad commanded that beating was part of the process for controlling a rebellious wife. Qur'an 4:34, Arberry
Mishkat Al-Masabih: vol. 2, p. 693
A woman has the right not to be hit in the face. Mishkat Al-Masabih: vol. 2, p. 691
The husband's right to beat his wife is Shariah law in every school of Islam.
Use of the word in the imperative 2:60, 2:73, 4:34, 7:160, 8:12, 18:32, 18:45, 20:77, 26:63, 36:13, 38:44
2. Woman’s main purpose : SATISFYING THE MAN'S SEXUAL DESIRES
Women are your fields: go, then, into your fields whence you please. (Qur'an 2:223, Dawood)
Muhammad gave strong warnings to women who would not accommodate their husband's or master's desire.
Talq b. `Ali reported God's messenger as saying, "When a man calls his wife to satisfy his desire she must go to him even if she is occupied at the oven." Tirmidhi transmitted it. (Mishkat Al-Masabih: vol. 2, p. 691)
Also (Bukhari: vol. 7, bk. 62, no. 121, Khan)
3. VIRGIN WOMEN AS SEX TOYS ARE A REWARD IN HEAVEN
Qur'an 44:51-54, 78:31-33, 56:34-35,
Anas reported the Prophet as saying, "In paradise the believer will be given such and such power to conduct sexual intercourse." He was asked whether we would be capable of that and replied that he would be given the capacity of a hundred men. Tirmidhi transmitted it. (Mishkat Al-Masabih: vol. 3, p. 1200)
Koran 44:51-55 ; 52:17-20 ; 55:56--58 ;56:7-40 ;55:70-77
4. MULTIPLE wives and an UNLIMITED number of slave girls:
Muslims men use the promise of polygamy to entice men to embrace Islam verse on do not deny what Allah has not lawful.
Sura 66:1 A man is allowed to have other women and Muslim men know that they are allowed this. Muhammad never stopped looking for new wives. Any attractive woman he took. (Hadiths from Ibn Sa'd about Muhammad liking women and perfume)
And those (men) who preserve their chastity Save with their wives and those whom their RIGHT HAND POSSESSES (SEX SLAVES), for thus they are not blameworthy. (Qur'an 70:29-30, Pickthall)
However, while Muhammad had many wives and slaves girls, and taught this in the Qur'an, he would only allow his son-in-law, Ali, to have one wife. Why? Because Ali was married to Muhammad's daughter, Fatima.
5. BUT WHEN IT CAME TO HIS DAUGHTER, HE DID NOT PERMIT
Narrated Al-Miswar bin Makhrama: I heard Allah's Apostle who was on the pulpit, saying, "Banu Hisham bin Al-Mughira have requested me to allow them to marry their daughter to Ali bin Abu Talib, but I don't give permission, and will not give permission unless 'Ali bin Abi Talib divorces my daughter in order to marry their daughter, because Fatima is a part of my body, and I hate what she hates to see, and what hurts her, hurts me." (Bukhari: vol. 7, bk. 62, no. 157, Khan)
What hypocrisy!
6. ABDUCTING A WOMAN FOR MARRIAGE
Bukhari: Volume 9, Book 86, Number 100: Narrated Abu Haraira: Allah's Apostle said, "A lady slave should not be given in marriage until she is consulted, and a virgin should not be given in marriage until her permission is granted." The people said, "How will she express her permission?" The Prophet said, "By keeping silent (when asked her consent)."
7. MUHAMMAD'S ADVICE FOR MARRIAGE child brides
Muhammad himself married a 7 years old and had sex with her at 9 years age this is habit of Pedophile
Narrated Jabir bin 'Abdullah: When I got married, Allah's Apostle said to me, "What type of lady have you married?" I replied, "I have married a matron' He said, "Why, don't you have a liking for the virgins and for fondling them?" Jabir also said: Allah's Apostle said, "Why didn't you marry a young girl so that you might play with her and she with you?' (Bukhari: vol. 7, bk. 62, no. 17, Khan)
8. THERE ARE MORE WOMEN IN HELL AND LESS IN HEAVEN
(Muhammad) passed by the women and said, "O women! Give alms, as I have seen that the majority of the dwellers of Hell-fire were you (women)." They asked, "Why is it so, O Allah's Apostle?" He replied, "You curse frequently and are ungrateful to your husbands. I have not seen anyone more deficient in intelligence and religion than you….. He said, "This is the deficiency in her intelligence. Isn't it true that a woman can neither pray nor fast during her menses?" The women replied in the affirmative. He said, "This is the deficiency in her religion." (Bukhari: vol. 1, bk. 6, no. 301, Khan)

HE WILL GLORIFY ME , FOR HE WILL TAKE WHAT IS MINE AND DECLARE IT TO YOU. . All that the FATHER HAS IS MINE; therefore I said that he will take what is mine and declare it to you.
(READ THE CAPITAL LETTERS AGAIN)
I hope you understand why your Dawah did not want you to know Vrs 15
POINT 1:
Is Muhammad's Allah his FATHER..? I am sure you know the answer- NOOO !!!! Allah can not be anyone's Father!
But the GOD JESUS introduces has a Father Son relationship between them and he extends that same relationship to us!!
So now tell me do you want Muhammad to fulfill this verse..?
Point 2:
The Spirit will Glorify ME for he will take the message of JESUS and clarify it!!
TWO Problems for MUHAMMAD:
1. Muhammad never knew anything about RUH UL QUIDIS (Holy Spirit) as per your own Quran !!! (Read sura 19) Your Quran says Ruh ul Quidis could become MAN (Which Allah cannot) and he also is able to create and give Mary the virgin Birth of ISA, but your allah did not know how to do this!!
One day Allah said how can he have a son with out having sex with a WOMAN!! (You see the same old problem Sex is on their mind)
But this RUH is able to give this VIRGIN A SON , with out any sexual relationship;
Looks like your allah is less-able than RUH !!! And Muhamamd has no clue who this is !!
How in the world did your dawah bluff you with nonsense.????

2. Jesus in John 16 said he (The Spirit) will preach the same message that JESUS preached!!! But What about Muhammad..?
Well he (Muhammad ) taught you that - JESUS did not die on the cross (The biggest historic blunder of Muhammad) and he told you JESUS is not the SON OF GOD and he should not be worshipped; Where was JESUS and the HOLY Spirit Categorically taught us that JESUS has to be worshiped;
So Muhammad does not fit this verse; Because he contradicted every message of JESUS!!
Point 3:
How did JESUS and his immediate disciples understand this verse of JESUS; They all categorically with one accord said that 10 days after JESUS ascension in Acts of Apostels Chapter 2 (5th Book of NT) when the Spirit of GOD descended on believers - it already got fulfilled!!!
So Masood; You have to do your Home work and recognize the deceivers, and the bluffers, who have been fooling you for generations!!
They keep you in the dark, because if they allow you to knwo the truth , you will leave them and their business goes to the wind; So they keep bluffing you with such stories;
All of them will be in Jannatul ferdous (Highest place in paradise) Inshaallah....

Im muslim and i wear colorful hijabs i even style them to match my clothes 😂 u dont have to wear a black one and it dousnt even have to be that long it just has to covor ur neck ,head,and chest
Kids Ammash That’s something I see a lot living in Brussels. Muslima’s born into the religion look very bright and colourful, they wear skinny jeans, trainers, beautiful matching headscarfs. The ones that converted to islam are nearly all dressed in long black robes, headscarves and even black gloves. Did I miss something here?

It’s considered a big misconception that if a Muslim converted to any other religion, because he/she thought it was the right one, that he/she have to die.
It’s stated clearly in the Quran that you are not to be forced into religion.

I can actually recall seeing this same documentary on TH-cam years ago. It was uploaded to one of those Islamic dawah (proselytism) channels that grab any content from across the Web they can find of people converting to islam. While the previous upload no longer seems to be available, there are still some clips up on various Islamic channels which were posted many years ago. A clip of the interview with Caroline (the first woman to be featured) was posted on TH-cam back in March 2009 under the amusingly erroneous title "Czech Scientist Woman Converted to Islam." So this seems to be rather old material that goes back to the previous decade.

@Mike A There'll be some issues in relationships with friends and family of course just like when anyone converts to another belief but that's expected. We have many ex muslims here in Indonesia and nobody is killed. :)
@Mike A Perhaps you refer to the misinterpreted idea that if you leave Islam you'll be killed. It actually refers to the earlier time of the prophet when the Muslim is driven out of Mecca by the Quraysh and had to relocate to Medina. They were then constantly attacked by the Quraysh people of Mecca at that time and some people who feared for their life turned their back on Medina and Islam and went back to Mecca and they gave military intelligence on the Muslims in Medina to the Quraysh in Mecca. Thus the extraordinary law was implemented.
@Mike A I am sure that I also read some cases where people get killed for leaving Islam. They are extreme cases which happened in a very conservative family/community in which they could not handle the 'shame'. But I can tell you this is not a normal occurrence otherwise thousands of people would have been killed regularly because of it and the UN might do something about it. :D

Yemen actually has one of the most famous Islamic institutions in a city called Damaj. Many Muslims from around the globe go there to aquire more knowledge. My family is from Yemen but we live in this US. My sister has an American teacher who lived in Damaj before the war started. She still chose to live in Yemen and holds a class daily for students who tune in to her calls.

Here I have listed a set of examples on how he viewed women; What his Allah told him about women!
1. BEATING ADVISED IN QURAN
Muhammad beat his wives. -Aisha herself admits : Shahi Muslim: bk. 4, no. 2127

The husband's right to beat his wife is Shariah law in every school of Islam.

2. Woman’s main purpose : SATISFYING THE MAN'S SEXUAL DESIRES
Women are your fields: go, then, into your fields whence you please. (Qur'an 2:223, Dawood)
Muhammad gave strong warnings to women who would not accommodate their husband's or master's desire.
Talq b. `Ali reported God's messenger as saying, "When a man calls his wife to satisfy his desire she must go to him even if she is occupied at the oven." Tirmidhi transmitted it. (Mishkat Al-Masabih: vol. 2, p. 691)

3. VIRGIN WOMEN AS SEX TOYS ARE A REWARD IN HEAVEN
Qur'an 44:51-54, 78:31-33, 56:34-35,
Anas reported the Prophet as saying, "In paradise the believer will be given such and such power to conduct sexual intercourse." He was asked whether we would be capable of that and replied that he would be given the capacity of a hundred men. Tirmidhi transmitted it. (Mishkat Al-Masabih: vol. 3, p. 1200)
Koran 44:51-55 ; 52:17-20 ; 55:56--58 ;56:7-40 ;55:70-77
4. MULTIPLE wives and an UNLIMITED number of slave girls:
Muslims men use the promise of polygamy to entice men to embrace Islam verse on do not deny what Allah has not lawful.
Sura 66:1 A man is allowed to have other women and Muslim men know that they are allowed this. Muhammad never stopped looking for new wives. Any attractive woman he took. (Hadiths from Ibn Sa'd about Muhammad liking women and perfume)
And those (men) who preserve their chastity Save with their wives and those whom their RIGHT HAND POSSESSES (SEX SLAVES), for thus they are not blameworthy. (Qur'an 70:29-30, Pickthall)
However, while Muhammad had many wives and slaves girls, and taught this in the Qur'an, he would only allow his son-in-law, Ali, to have one wife. Why? Because Ali was married to Muhammad's daughter, Fatima.
5. BUT WHEN IT CAME TO HIS DAUGHTER, HE DID NOT PERMIT
Narrated Al-Miswar bin Makhrama: I heard Allah's Apostle who was on the pulpit, saying, "Banu Hisham bin Al-Mughira have requested me to allow them to marry their daughter to Ali bin Abu Talib, but I don't give permission, and will not give permission unless 'Ali bin Abi Talib divorces my daughter in order to marry their daughter, because Fatima is a part of my body, and I hate what she hates to see, and what hurts her, hurts me." (Bukhari: vol. 7, bk. 62, no. 157, Khan)
What hypocrisy!
6. ABDUCTING A WOMAN FOR MARRIAGE
Bukhari: Volume 9, Book 86, Number 100: Narrated Abu Haraira: Allah's Apostle said, "A lady slave should not be given in marriage until she is consulted, and a virgin should not be given in marriage until her permission is granted." The people said, "How will she express her permission?" The Prophet said, "By keeping silent (when asked her consent)."
7. MUHAMMAD'S ADVICE FOR MARRIAGE child brides
Muhammad himself married a 7 years old and had sex with her at 9 years age this is habit of Pedophile
Narrated Jabir bin 'Abdullah: When I got married, Allah's Apostle said to me, "What type of lady have you married?" I replied, "I have married a matron' He said, "Why, don't you have a liking for the virgins and for fondling them?" Jabir also said: Allah's Apostle said, "Why didn't you marry a young girl so that you might play with her and she with you?' (Bukhari: vol. 7, bk. 62, no. 17, Khan)
8. THERE ARE MORE WOMEN IN HELL AND LESS IN HEAVEN
(Muhammad) passed by the women and said, "O women! Give alms, as I have seen that the majority of the dwellers of Hell-fire were you (women)." They asked, "Why is it so, O Allah's Apostle?" He replied, "You curse frequently and are ungrateful to your husbands. I have not seen anyone more deficient in intelligence and religion than you….. He said, "This is the deficiency in her intelligence. Isn't it true that a woman can neither pray nor fast during her menses?" The women replied in the affirmative. He said, "This is the deficiency in her religion." (Bukhari: vol. 1, bk. 6, no. 301, Khan)
9. TEMPORARY MARRIAGES- Muttah
Volume 6, Book 60, Number 139: Narrated Abdullah: We used to participate in the holy wars carried on by the Prophet and we had no women (wives) with us. So we said (to the Prophet ). "Shall we castrate ourselves?" But the Prophet forbade us to do that and thenceforth he allowed us to marry a woman (temporarily) by giving her even a garment, and then he recited: "O you who believe! Do not make unlawful the good things which Allah has made lawful for you." find other hadiths saying not to do it. How is this different from prostitution. Is the West really decadent or just honest.

15 Astonishing facts About Islam That you Really don't know !
1) “Islam” means “surrender” or “submission” .
“Salam” (which means “peace”) is the root word of “Islam”.
In a religious context the word “Islam” means “the surrendering of one’s will (without compulsion) to the true will of God in an effort to achieve peace”.
2) “Muslim” means “anyone or anything that surrenders itself to the true will of God”.
By this definition, everything in nature (trees, animals, planets, etc.) are “muslims” because they are in a state of surrender to God’s will.
In other words, they are fulfilling the purpose for which God created them.
3) Islam is not a new religion or cult. It is a universal way of life and civilization.
Again, Islam is not a new religion, rather it is the same message preached by all earlier prophets such as Adam, Noah, Abraham, Moses, and Jesus (peace be upon them all).
But God’s final message to mankind was revealed to the last prophet, Muhammad (peace be upon him), as a revival of lost teachings of previous prophets and as a reconfirmation of the eternal message. Studies show that between 1.5 and 1.8 billion people in the world identify their religion as Islam. Along with Judaism and Christianity it traces its roots through Prophet Abraham and back to the first humans Adam and Eve.
4) There are five pillars of practice in Islam. These practices must be undertaken with the best of effort in order to be considered a true Muslim:
A) Declaration of faith: A statement proclaiming the belief in One God and that Muhammad is a prophet of God. To become Muslim a person simply recites this statement publicly, and in Arabic.
B) Formal prayer five times a day.
C) Poor-due tax: 2.5% of one’s excess wealth given to the needy once a year.
D) Fasting during the daylight hours in the month of Ramadan.
E) Pilgrimage to Mecca at least once, if physically and financially able.
5) There are six articles of faith in Islam. These are the basic beliefs that one must have in order to be considered a true Muslim. They are belief in:
A) the One God.
B) all of the true prophets of God.
C) the original scriptures revealed to Moses, David, Jesus and Muhammad.
D) the angels.
E) the Day of Judgment and the Hereafter.
F) destiny.
6) Muslims believe in the one Creator of the Universe, referring to Him as “Allah” which is the Arabic word for “God”.
Muslims worldwide, even English-speaking Muslims, frequently use the Arabic word “Allah” because Arabic is the language of the Qur’an.
But Allah is no different than the God of Abraham, Moses and Jesus.
The Creator is the Creator regardless of what people call Him.
In the English language He is most commonly referred to as “God”.
Yet Jesus spoke a different language, referring to God as “Eloi” in Mark 15:34 of the New Testament.
Are “God” and “Eloi” different gods? Many Hispanics call God “Dios” and many French say “Dieu”.
It would logically follow then that people who refer to God as “Allah” in the Arabic language are referring to the very same God.
In fact, many Arab Jews and Arab Christians call God “Allah”.
And the word “Allah” is written in Arabic script on the walls of many Arab churches and on the pages of Arabic Bibles.
So while the understanding of God may differ between faith groups, the various names used to describe Him does not change the fact that the one Creator of the Universe is the God of all people.
This is Allah Almighty, The Creator, the one and only true God. He is my God, our God:
"Allah - there is no deity except Him, the Ever-Living, the Sustainer of [all] existence. Neither drowsiness overtakes Him nor sleep. To Him belongs whatever is in the heavens and whatever is on the earth. Who is it that can intercede with Him except by His permission? He knows what is [presently] before them and what will be after them, and they encompass not a thing of His knowledge except for what He wills. His Kursi (Throne) extends over the heavens and the earth, and their preservation tires Him not. And He is the Most High, the Most Great."
(Quran 2:255)
{Say, “He is Allah, the One. Allah, to Whom the creatures turn for their needs. He begets not, nor was He begotten, and there is none like Him.” }
(Quran, 112:1-4)
Allah Almighty says in the Quran:
"Say, "O My servants who have transgressed against themselves [by sinning], do not despair of the mercy of Allah . Indeed, Allah forgives all sins. Indeed, it is He who is the Forgiving, the Merciful."
[Quran 39:53]
7) The Islamic concept of God is that He is loving, merciful and compassionate. Islam also teaches that He is all-knowing and the perfect judge of affairs, and will punish (or forgive) accordingly. However, Allah once said to Muhammad, “My mercy prevails over my wrath”. So Islam teaches a balance between fear and hope, protecting one from both complacency and despair.
8) Muslims believe that God has revealed 99 of His names, or attributes, in the Qur’an. It is through these names that one can come to know the Creator. A few of these names are the All-Merciful, the All-Knower, the Protector, the Provider, the Near, the First, the Last, the Hidden and the Source of All Peace.
9) The Christian concept of “vicarious atonement” (the idea that Jesus died for the sins of humanity) is alien to the Islamic concept of personal responsibility. Islam teaches that on the Day of Judgment every person will be resurrected and will be accountable to God for their every word and deed. Consequently, a practicing Muslim is always striving to be righteous while hoping and praying for God’s acceptance and grace.
10) Muslims believe in all of the true prophets that preceded Muhammad, from Adam to Jesus. Muslims believe they brought the same message of voluntarily surrendering to God’s will (islam, in a generic sense) to different peoples at different times. Muslims also believe they were “muslims” (again, in a generic sense) since they followed God’s true guidance and surrendered their will to Him.
11) Muslims neither worship Muhammad nor pray through him. Muslims worship the Unseen, Omniscient Creator, Allah.
12) Muslims accept the original unaltered Torah (as revealed to Moses) and the original unaltered Bible (as revealed to Jesus) since they were revealed by God. But none of these scriptures exist today in their original form or in their entirety. Therefore, Muslims follow the subsequent, final and preserved revelation of God, the Qur’an.
13) The Qur’an was not authored by Muhammad. It was authored by God, revealed to Muhammad (through angel Gabriel) and written into physical form by his companions.
14) The original Arabic text of the Qur’an contains no flaws or contradictions and has not been altered since its revelation.
15) Actual 7th century Qur’ans, complete and intact, are on display in museums in Turkey and other places around the world.

Allah Almighty says in the noble Quran:

No one can claim any superiority over the other based on race, color, language or wealth and this is emphasized in the last sermon of Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) showing high regard of humanity irrespective of color or race:
"“All mankind is from Adam and Eve, an Arab has no superiority over a non-Arab nor a non-Arab has any superiority over an Arab; also a white has no superiority over a black nor does a black have any superiority over a white except by piety and good action.”

Basically to become a Muslim is very simple.. you need to say the decleration of faith oraly while you believe in it by heart with a firm conviction and unshakeable faith.
The decleration of Faith in Islam (The Shahada)
The Shahada (in Arabic) can be declared as follows :
“ASH-HADU ANLA ELAHA ILLA-ALLAH WA ASH-HADU ANNA MOHAMMADAN RASUL-ALLAH”
The English translation is :
“I bear witness that there is no deity (none truly to be worshipped) but, Allah, and I bear witness that Mohammad is the messenger of Allah.”
However, it would not be sufficient for anyone to only utter this testimony oraly either in private or in public; but rather, he should believe in it by heart with a firm conviction and unshakeable faith. If one is truly sincere and complies with the teachings of Islam in all his life, he will find himself a new born person.
