  • Wide receiver turned kick returner turned running back turned... safety? It doesn't matter what position you list Cordarrelle Patterson at, as long as you acknowledge him as what he truly is -- a star.

By far the best signing I've made in fantasy football this year.

He's always been an exciting player to watch. While it's sad it took this long, I'm glad he finally is being used creatively. 100% agree he deserves the Hall for his return prowess.
I'm also glad he's in the role he is, because I think it could be a step towards what could be the solution to the "RB problem" (ie:low value of the position, but the star athletes who play it expect to get paid as such). A league where all your WRs are players who are capable of carrying the ball from the backfield (similar to how things were in the early days of the game**), and they just rotate in at RB, so you're paying them for their WR contributions, and not a single guy who played a lot of wasted snaps at RB.
**Granted, it was easier then because body types were very similar /less specialized. (Now WRs are often taller, and RBs often shorter and bulkier). We'd have to scout for different body types at earlier levels of the game to really usher in such a change.

Love, love, love this solution. We’re seeing similar things earlier with Deebo Samuel in San Fran too, so maybe others will begin to take notice.
