EdBoy thank you for your very comprehensive video. It was really clear and easy to follow. Did you say that your fx50 had over 215k miles? My 09 fx35 has 220k miles and i just got the 0306 code.
I had let the engine cool on my 2011 m56 for about an hour before attempting to take out coil and should have waited longer. There is a little removable tip on the end of those coils and I think bc the engine was still warm the little tip was tight and stayed behind when I removed the coil?! Tried putting a little super glue on coil and placed it back. Will let engine cool overnight and hopefully will come out together. I bought a little pick set just in case.
Update: I changes all 6 ignition coils 2+ weeks ago, car has been running super smooth, then out of the blue when turn the car on i got a P0306, not sure if one of the ignition coils is bad so what i'll do it swap out that spark plug, and swap the ignition coild from bank 2 to 6 and 6 to 2. and then see if i can get that code again.... the car wasnt running weird or idling weird... it was just a code that copped up, so i cleared it and waiting for it to coome back.
I have code p0306 on my 09 fx35. Was planning on changing all spark plugs and coil packs with oem parts.. Did you end up figuring out what happened with your car?
Hi Ed… I had P0305, I replaced the ignition coil with a new one and after test driving, P0301 came up. I then replaced all my spark plugs, and replaced all ignition coils with new coils too. But, things aren’t same. The car still shakes at idle (park) with unusual sound at the exhaust. When driving flash engine flashes but smooth out of throttling is steady. Driving it at 140km/h and no jerk… Now, my fuss is that the computer is showing P0304… Remember I’ve changed the six (6) spark plugs and all ignition coils. Please what could be responsible for this DTC switching from cylinder to another? Also, I’ve had the Nozzles serviced… Please anyone with this kinda experience before and can share how they resolved this problem? My car is 2011 M37 Base VIP package
I took it to a shop, they said it was a fuel inject cylinder 2, I also had a very bad gasoline smell combined with the misfire codes. They bill wasn't terrible I got all spark plugs coils and the injector changed for $1100 CAD. I couldn't stand the gasoline smell so letting a mechanic do it was fine. @@Javivq999
Same problem it was a p0302 and p0300 number 2 coil easy but now I have a bank 1 and 2 on the cats so I have a question how many cats does this car have?
I’m in the same boat the misfire seems to have clogged the cats it’s an 05 fx35 I payed 3k for it and I love it it’s just whether it’s worth replacing cats
They share some of them. The VQ37s use six of part # *22448-EY00A* The FX50 and M56 use that part number only for the last 2 cylinders. For the front 6 cylinders, the V8s use part # *22448-JA00C* which was superseded by *22448-1KT1A*
For these 7 speeds with no dispstick, I honestly just take it to the dealership and let them handle it. However, I know I've seen a video where someone did a demo on a G37. Similar process, but for $200 I'll let someone else do it.

Just changed all 6 of my ignition coils with Hitachi ones. Car runs much better now.
i like the sound of that engine it's smooth and quit just like my 2010 Nissan Altima 3.5 SR V6

Fuel injector can be another issue, I’m currently in the same position with a 2016 q50 red sport
You 100 percent mixed the plugs for the coils on passenger side its common mistake
