Biased since I grew up watching his portrayal but Pierce Brosnan is the definitive Bond for me. He embodied everything that made the character so cool: suave, charming, playful, and witty yet lethal, aloof but had an underlying warmth beneath the ruthlessness. He just looked the part with the suits, the cars, the gadgets and the women.

Of course Michelle and Pierce were wonderful to watch, but I was pleasantly surprised by Rosie (I'm a little too young to have this seen this show on air). After a quick google, found this show was a little short-lived because of public feuds with Donald Trump and Bush (about the Iraq war). This woman was clearly before her time, stuck with an audience that wasn't quite ready for such an outspoken (female) host.
At the time when Trump was making stupid, rude and bullying comments about Rosie, he was doing it in a desperate way to get attention for himself. It was just telling on himself, that he was a loser. I've disliked Trump since that time, and he's only gotten worse. I don't think Rosie's show had a short run because of her political opinions, but only if being more outspoken affected ad sales. It's not that she was unappreciated or under appreciated by the public / audience. The thing was, at the time she's competing with stars like Oprah and Larry King and others who were more established and in their prime.
as a long-time fan, let me say glad you've found the rosie show and glad you dig it. let me correct your timeline a bit though - rosie's show as super-high in the ratings and she was being begged to stay on, but she stopped to me a mom to her baby boy parker. the feuding with trump came later, when she was a co-host on the view (2006). she was less overtly political on her own show, but was deeply affected by the columbine school shootings, and she got into a heated discussion with tom selleck on air over it on her show (he was very pro-NRA). but mainly she left to be a mom and if she'd wanted to continue they would've paid for a fortune to do so. on /the view/, once they showed her arguing with elizabeth h. in split-screen, that was it - she felt her trust had been violated and she left. (short stint later, but whoopi was threatened and so she left again). btw you should read her book - it's a riot and also really smart and interesting.
_The Rosie O'Donnell Show_ ran from June 10, 1996 to May 22, 2002. Her feud with DT occurred when she was a moderator on _The View_ in 2006.

Kidding or not, "I got to play James Bond" statement was a proof that Michelle was capable of doing what a James Bond could do, and she delivered it. I hope her character Wai Lin will be a cameo in the next James Bond movie, perhaps she would become like M but from China.
