What is Calvary Chapel?
Calvary Chapel started as a non-denominational Christian church founded in 1961 in Costa Mesa, California, which in the wake of a move of the Holy Spirit, grew into an international family of over 1700 churches around the world.
What does Calvary Chapel Montgomery County believe?
Our mission is to “know God and to make Him known.” To that end, we place emphasis on the study of God’s Word and the proclamation of the gospel message-that Jesus Christ died to save us from our sins and He offers us the free gift of eternal life.
We believe the Holy Bible is the inspired, infallible, and authoritative written Word of God. The Scriptures of the Old and New Testaments are the foundation upon which the church operates and are the basis for which the church is governed. As such, the Word of God supersedes any earthly law contrary to biblical principles.
