      My M2 knocks a lot at gear changes too. Especially when shifting down at low rpm.
      Did it fix those knocks too?

    I have the same issue, and I end up changing both the front and rear by Revshift polyurethane bushing and since than I hear the clunking noise every time I give it gas or let go off the gas at 1st and 2nd gear, and I don’t know if this sounds/ noise are normal or not 😔 so now the only way to fix it is to blast music 😫

      I definitely didn’t have a noise after the fix.

    Hi! Really great video!
    So I think I got this problem today on my m4 18 mod.
    I was driving in low speeds, and heard the knock after letting off the throttle. Happend in 3rd, 4th gear. Did you hear this as well on low rpms?
    Looking forward to hear from you!

    • @MDrives
      @MDrives  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thanks. Yes. When I let off at low rpms I could hear it.

      Sorry to hear about it. I can’t really advise as I’m not a mechanic. Go to a specialist who should be able to inspect and give you a proper advice.

    I have the same issue with F87 Bmw M2, they changed the rear diff bushing or also the front bushings?
    Thanks!!

      It was the rear bushing which has been changed to polyurethane one.

      I did ecs kit with bracket and clunking now is crazy on load reversal. I also get more pronounced clunk when trying to move forward, fresh from reversed gear. The diff whine sounds like straight cut gears especially when accelerating fast.

      Correct all n55 m2 have rubber rear diff bush. OEM poly bush fitted to all s55 m2 is the retrofit for PUMA note Marek refers to

      I dont think this is miles/killos related... if you spin your car chances are you might brake the bushing earlier

      My 2018 M4 got this problem after 3000 Km . Had it fixed at the dealer. Now at 16000 Km (I don’t drive it during winter) it has started again. Guess they only changed to rubber busing in 2018. Will see what the respons will be at next service when the snow sludge is gone.

    I have a BMW m4. And I’ve seen your video, m.th-cam.com/video/C5Npe81WKrw/w-d-xo.html
    I changed the spinnaker seals of the cardans/axle, axle change, gearbox change, and calibration of the clutches at a very reputable BMW M specialist. Since then, from time to time, in the city, in 3rd or 5th, at low revs and low speeds, if I let go of the foot of the accelerator, and I press the pedal disappointedly, sometimes it makes me a boom at the back, as if metal stuff hits, difficult to explain frankly, and would say that the car for thousands of seconds loses the reaction of the pedal to the wheels. This doesn’t always happen. And since also in 5th at 50k/h, at low revs, if I leave my foot slightly on the accelerator, the car makes a front/rear/front/rear effect, as if it was grazing. Is this what’s going on with you?
    Excuse me my English

    • @MDrives
      @MDrives  8 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Sounds like the same issue. The rubber bushing gone too soft/ perished and now the whole diff moves slightly. You need that replaced with polyurethane one.
