The way Jethro is calm and reviewing while drifting fast through thick snow in a new car, the constant countersteering, I can't believe it, a tiny mistake and he'd spin out, mans got crazy skill
It's not really that hard to drift on ice, you control your angle with the throttle and adjust steering input accordingly. There is plenty of leeway. But it still takes a driver with skill to do.
EVO is the best- So many reviews on YT dropped together- most of them talking about the feature list and buttons and other BS- This is the review that actually tells a story of what this car feels- EVO you are a class apart!

@@zakelwe That’s very true, I’m an American and I used to always buy Evo and Car Magazine respectively for their Writing. Jethro’s Writing would take me from the dreary weather and congested traffic of London through the Channel Tunnel to the South of France to let a Ferrari 575M finally open up on some back roads.
As a die hard Lambo fan, I must concede that I prefer this to the Urus. This is PURE Ferrari DNA. Full on V12 drivetrain. A standalone car, not a chassis sharing gathering of parts from a parent company. The design has grown on me (rather quickly!) after understanding all the aero. What was just black plastic (especially those wheel arches) in preliminary shots are now clever scoops and ducts that I "get". When I see a Urus (or similar), I'm impressed. But that's just by their sheer presence. With the Purosangué I'm full-on impressed!!!
I just watched all the Purosangue video drops, and you guys did it best! Fantastic video quality and editing, and the correct perspective from which to look at this car. Hats off to Jethro and EVO.
@@k.r.99 jethro is the best Rory is the second Steven on evo and autoexpress is the third. for others especially chirs harris and that Hnery with a mess hair are not good enough

I really liked knowing about -- tester's impression for driving that Ferrari in the snow. In CarMagazine, the tester didn't bother to do the same --- only granting his impressions of how the car drove, on a dry road. For giving driving impressions, of every different road surface on test; I rejoice. Now I feel I genuinely have some realistic impression of how that car drives like, thanks. Yes I agree it looks absolutely great - I also agree, this haptic controls - the way you describe 'em, I'd probably hate 'em too.
You are one of my fave reviewers, ever. To answer your question about an everyday Ferrari - in a perfect world they wouldn’t need to do this. But to manage the business for future growth so they can keep making the special cars they make, the competition has proven the recipe of SUV’s financing future growth. Can’t be a purist to the point of missing financial targets - quick look at history of Lotus, RR, Aston. That this car offers the delicacy of driving their roadcars are known for (no pounding of pavement to submission) is a high watermark achieved by this car. Forza Ferrari !
Keep in mind that everyone buying this car will already have several Ferraris, it fits the bill perfectly to broaden their Ferrari driving experience. I think it is superb.
Completely agree with the key point that a Ferrari is special and should be for those Sunday blasts. For everyday use a cayenne or Range Rover makes much ore sense and this is before one considers the cost. This is the 4th review I’ve watched and the best yet.
My sequence was Steve Sutcliff (Master in my view), Matt from Autocar (appreciate his technical side), Henry from Hagerty (such great content quality & energy), Harry as well you have to & now Jethro is in my feed! All very different in their approaches but all brilliant! Where is Chris Harris? How fortunate we are as Car People to get such cracking content for free…..
A Ferrari passenger car. Love it. Jethro is great. (So good that he can comment on steering response while driving over pack snow.😂.) His review communicates extremely well the car’s characteristics in very relevant terms.
I’ve found the perfect buyer for this. The established 60 year old men who wants to treat himself with a sportscar but instead of buying a low Ferrari which is going to give him back problems he should buy this! Now he can enjoy an exotic screaming V12 without having to sacrifice anything
Summed up so well by that last line. "If I never drove one again, I wouldn't really upset me. Not driving one of the mid engined cars or front engine V12 coupes, that would be a full on, Shakespearean tragedy."
Great review. The camera team made the Purosangue look surprisingly great. Unfortunately, there is one visual error at 2:25, check out the right border of the video.
Honestly, I think it looks beautiful. Much better than I expected. In the end, though, I do understand why they made it, which is why I'm happy they made it. With it, they'll be able to afford to make better cars.
Very clever of Ferrari, more of a more practical Lusso, with the wonderful sonorous NA V12, the clever active suspension, adaptive 4WD, transverse layout for F/R distribution, true four seater practicality and luggage space and all wrapped in a beautiful body that is not an SUV or a direct comparator with the Urus or anything else. The price is scary, but it’s sold out so Ferrari won’t care. I want one!
That was the best sum up. A Ferrari should be an event each time you get in it! Just the same, I’m 100% impressed with what they did to come up with this car, but I will keep my classic Ferraris that I know I can only enjoy for half of the year, but that’s how it has to be! Great review!
Ferrari, with the Purosangue, has basically licked all the (supposed...) competition away to the point that there is actually none. Bravissimo Ferrari!
Love what you do Jethro. To me, it’s a shame that Ferrari has transitioned from the four-seater models of old like the 456/612/FF/GTC4 to an SUV, but the Purosangue will sell like hot cakes. As long as it pays for the Le Mans Hypercar racing programme…
Amen to that. Jethro, Chris and ... Maybe Sutclif, Catchpole, Tiff and Carlos Lago (from the Glory days of MotorTrend). And a couple of others i'm missing.
Hard not to appreciate absurdity of a 715 horsepower naturally aspirated V12 powered SUV in 2023. It shouldn’t exist, but I’m impressed that it does. They didn’t cut corners.
I think this road is a perfect test of the purosangue . Different kind of fun sliding around corners on slick roads like that. And Ferrari did a suv right.
You came late to the party but you did the best video summarising it completly It helps that Jethro has a world of experience, not over awed and can peddle a car. I say good on Ferrari for making it. It looks stunning. Wasn’t my view when I first saw it but god it’s a looker for the class. This is a brilliant car apart from the infotainment. As wether Ferrari should have built it. Why not. Does it spoil their heritage. Absolutely not. Bottom line is all the purists will portably hate it. But for the Ferrari owners that want to take their friends on a tour or drive in a Ferrari then this is the perfect vehicle by a mile
Let's be honest, most performance SUVs don't work because they are a shameless cashgrab that go like this "Take the VW Touareg -> dress it up as a Lambo/Bentley/Audi/Porsche -> Infinite money 🤑📈" but this is a bespoke Ferrari platform that comes from the GTC4 🧐, that difference between being a Touareg or a GTC4 at their core is what makes the Purosangue so, so special! ❤️
ngl i have mixed feeling about it , doesnt give me the same excitement as the urus when it came out but I definitely prefer the purosangue than the so common dated urus now.
Interesting comment about the inherent qualities of the nat-asp V12 being, perhaps, out of step with the motive requirements of a 2.5 tonne four door, ie. needing a slug of low-down torque. Maybe it’s the wrong engine after all…
What Jethro mentions at the end is irrelevant, since all Ferrari owners will have another Ferrari in their garage with which to get the full Ferrari experience. This Ferrari is meant to allow them to almost get the full Ferrari experience when they also want practicality.
Superb review. A special Ferrari for a special day? Just think you've dropped the kids off for their swimming lessons and you've got an hour to kill in the Purosangue. You can have some fun whilst they have a swim. Isn't that just the right compromise where you both win?
I kinda disagree! Does anyone "needs" a Porsche Cayenne or a Lambo urus or an Aston 777...etc! The answer is "no". People who buy these cars dont buy them because they good or bad they buy them because they can afford them. This Ferrari is probably the ultimate "statement" car because who ever owns it will also own 4,5 or 6 other super cars in their garage.
