Great video, when we visit London the Thames Clipper boat ride has now become very much a part of our itinerary, we've caught it in the daytime at sunset and at night, it's a great way to see London right from the Thames.
I saw an Uber Boat when I was in London a few days ago. I didn't realise that it was the Thames Clippers of old. I traveled on one from central London to Greenwich in either 2005 or 2008 - can't remember which trip. A very enjoyable journey. What I did try this time was the Boris Bikes (Santander Cycles.) They would be better if they had phone holders for people who don't know where they're going. Also, you need to know to really slam them back into the docking station.
They are amazing value for money especially when you see the tour boats’ eye watering prices. Always a favourite way of getting around when you have time
Not a fan of any tour operators. Always really expensive for what it is and I prefer to use what locals would use than what tourists would use. That's just my thoughts, and ofc City Sightseeing buses and other stuff like that are great for people who want to see a lot in a short period of time. But again - it's better to use local transport as you generally see just as much!
I’m a relatively new subscriber and enjoy your work . Might I suggest that you consider talking instead of captions as this allows me to fully concentrate on your excellent videos . 👍👍🙂
Thanks for the support, I really appreciate it! I'm thinking of speaking in my videos eventually, but I would rather stick to subtitles for now. This doesn't mean I won't talk in future videos, it's still a very good possibility!☺️
Ironically my Uber car didn't show up 2 weeks later😅 But Uber Boat is excellent. Uber don't actually operate the service but it's branded as Uber and you can buy tickets on the app. It's excellent and I highly recommend you try!😁
Reminds me of the F9 ferry in Sydney goes along most of the harbour including under the Sydney Harbour Bridge and past the Opera House
Ah nice! Yeah, I don't suspect London is the only city with "boat-buses"!😄
Brilliant video Ben! Packed full of useful information. I've never taken a boat on the Thames myself, but will have to when I'm back! Well done 👍🏻🙂
Cheers mate! If I have the chance to ride a boat, I won't hesitate 😄
Who knew boats could be comfy? Been a long while since I've been on Thames Clippers, and this video gave me memories 😃 good video mate
Cheers! Glad you enjoyed. My boat ride yesterday was uniquely metal benches, what a contrast😅

Agreed, it's fantastic, although a bit on the pricey side!
@@trainlagged That's true but we always have a travelcard when visiting London, which does get you a discount on the full fare.

Wow, this video makes me want to try the Thames clippers after seeing it
It's a great way to travel through London, and the price is worth it!
The longest route takes 20 minutes only ?

@@trainlagged The No 15 bus route is the best tour of all the sights in London and costs around £1:50 👍

You forgot to mention the on board Toilets.
Yes, I did, apologies.
A Uber Boat. Sounds like Uber is really taking over. But does anyone trust Uber.
