Nishane is proving to be a favorite Niche house because of their Extrait de Parfums perform so well and the fragrances themselves are so FULL BODIED. I am in love. This is what I want from a Niche brand. Make it worth it.
@@hayley.clough love that! That would be an interesting video too.. to learn which houses you favor for what reasons or own a lot from... I am fairly new on my fragrance journey, so picking up discovery sets from brands has been great! Or just mass buying samples* to learn about a brand. And it's definitely helped give me an overview of the overall vibe... So fad I've also really been loving Etat Libre D'Orange for interesting scent profiles that are easy-to-reach for. ... and an obvious one may be MFK but the quality of the blends & their ingredients completely shines through. I am such a newbie and need more guidance tho 😫 I know I must be missing out on some good stuff! 😆
Wulong cha was my first niche ever and its stunning and was a blind buy. I have samples of gris charnel, the extrait and remember me I plan to sample in September and the yulong and winter palace are both still on my to buy list as they sound so refreshing. I would love a part two. I think that its an underrated note to have in fragrance.
I would like to do a part 2 and maybe add my wishlist to this as I have so many tea fragrances on my wishlist too. Such an underrated note, you are right
One of my favorites is Nest Indigo. I much prefer it to Gris Charnel, the cardamom and tea are more prominent to my nose. Another one is Guerlain Teazurra. Too bad it's discontinued but if you can get your hand on it, highly recommend.
Yes to Gris Charnel extrait, Winter Palace, Remember Me; I own and love them. I would also add Thé Noir by Le Labo, Nest's Indigo (my choice against Poets of Berlin, Indigo has a touch of mint at the begginig and I find the scent quite similar for a fraction of the price, low projection and longevity too but POB is not a beast for me) and Arquiste's Indigo Smoke within my favourite tea scents 🤩. Wulong Cha is a strong like but the tea is not that prominent on me and the longevity and projection weren't that great for me even with with 5 sprays on one arm. Je Ne Sais Quoi turnt quite bitter on my skin so I like it for it's originality and dry scent but I have to revisit it. On my to "try list": Matcha Meditation and the Floraiku line!
I ordered The Yulong… or so I thought but I accidentally ordered something else. Don’t ask how that happened, I am still questioning myself. I will add it very soon
I absolutely love Remember Me, Princess and a new love Happy Dust! All of these make me so happy! I’ve tried MM and Wulong Cha and they are just ok to me.
BIG FAN ✨🥹✨Your esthetic and style always calm me down and bring me joy!! Love your description too🥰 Do you have any milk tea and fruit tea scent recommendations? I wanted to see if you have 😊
I'm not sure why but lately I have been wanting to smell & experience rice fragrances. So this unsweetened rice pudding fragrance sounds so good to me. I would love a Rice Note fragrance recommendations video. I need to get my nose on some. I think I'd really enjoy ☺️
I'm curious about this note as well! There are many Filipino desserts made of rice or rice flour that aren't too sweet, so I'd really like to test Je Ne Sais Quoi. Have you tried Kilian's Moonlight in Heaven? It's frequently compared to mango sticky rice, so you'd have to be open to the fruity notes of mango and coconut as well.
@@penelopepalm Ooooohh! I just got the ELD'O discovery set with 20× samples... I don't think this one is in there? It's not one of the ones I put in my NEED TO BUY pile... I already bought The Ghost In The Shell and Like This... I have Fat Electrician on the list... and there's a few others I'm interested in. 500 Years sticks out. I also just received decant of Frustration from Scentbird and really enjoying that one too.
@@charmedbymeghan I have been wanting to try frustration. What’s nice about ELDO is you can buy any fragrance sample for $5 or 6 so it’s super easy to sample. I never did the full sample set. But I’ve tried most of the orange extraordinaire set and they are all good.
@@hayley.clough yesss. Finding out those are 2 of my favorite notes in perfume. Period. 🥰🥰🥰 so put them together in any fragrance and I can almost** blind buy it lol.
Have you tried ethereal wave by Liis? I haven’t heard anyone talking about this one. It’s so nice! And surprisingly the sillage and longevity isn’t bad. Please do another video highlighting your other tea fragrances ❤
This is a great list. Hayley! I would have liked to hear about those you have on your wishlist. As I mentioned before, Néroli Outrenoir by Guerlain is fantastic. And I do have a cheapie I stumbled upon, but ended up really liking it: Bvlgari's eau parfumée au thé bleu. They have different ones like a thé blanc, vert, rouge, and noir. Haven't tried those, but I feel they would freshen me up wonderfully in the summer as well. They are colognes, so don't expect them to have great lasting power, though.
I couldn't even finish the video lol --> I just went and bought 10ml decants of Wulong Cha & Remember Me. I have high hopes! Now I'm back to finish watching 😄
I love matcha meditation and half way through the bottle now. trying to decide whether to repurchase or try a new tea fragrance. But I didn't like BDK gris charnel or Le Labo thé noir when I first tried them, might have to give them another chance
I tried Nishane wulong cha - I like it but there is a minty after note which I am not sure about. Miller Harris Tea Tonique is another one I was thinking of getting.
The first and only fragrance that I tried that just had tea as an ingredient, was Burberry The Beat for women. I fell in love with it, and it was my signature scent for years! I know not everyone was/is a fan of it, but it just worked so well on me. Now I'm desperately on a hunt for something that can evoke a similar experience, and I have been searching scents that have a similarly vibrant profile, without being too sweet and too floral, just interesting, charming and yeah, kinda vibrant. I could always smell that tea note and found it so intriguing. Now, with the beat being discontinued (😭), I'm grateful to come across videos like yours that give me ideas on what to look for! Thanks so much for making this video, and if anyone has any recommendations on where to move on to from The Beat, please share!🙏😉
I'm looking for a tea fragrance that is primarily black tea, the earthy notes but not musky or sweet, like if I legitimately made a cup of super strong black tea, that's what I want to smell like. Any ideas?
Hi there! I had Gris Charnel but I found it to be leaning like the smell of aftershave. I'm not sure what note it was that was making it smell like that which was too sharp for me but the tonka bean was amazing, do you think the extrait has that same sharp aftershave smell to it?
This is a great list and am very eager to try Wulong Cha and Wulong Cha X. I am consistently reaching for Le Labo Thé Noir 29--it's deep, fresh, and soft, and a perfect unisex black tea scent. I also adore Sunday by Arielle Shoshana--I was a bit confused smelling this one on paper, as all I could get from it was the rice note, but once on the skin it transforms into cozy, delectable matcha and rice that lingers for hours and reminds me of the mochi I've had at a local bakery down the street. Yumm :)
I was hoping you would mention Indigo Smoke by Arquiste. I thought you mentioned it once awhile back. I’ve really been interested in that particular fragrance. If I’m correct and it was you Hayley that has this fragrance, what are your thoughts?
I would describe Je ne sais quoi as a fun fragrance. Although on my skin it leans a lot more masculine. I can just smell the vetiver and the balsam :( . It is more fitting for winter months too. My favorite the scent is eau the vert by bvlgari
Absolutely love Gris Charnel Extrait (both versions), Kilian Princess and Wulong Cha. I’m also just starting to discover the Floraiku house, I’m liking all of my samples (from the discovery set) but I have to pick just 1 or 2 as it’s hurting my wallet. 😂
If you don’t want people asking you what you’re wearing and all up in your bubble trying to smell you don’t get Teo Cabanel je ne sais qoui! And if you don’t like drinking matcha tea Stay away 😂 honestly it’s my favorite, smells reminds me of my mom steaming sweet rice and sipping on some matcha.
Teo Cabanel Je Ne Sais Quoi.... Well, that was a blind buy and not the best one. On my skin it was just sushi rice boil in water.😮 After maybe 1 hour was a little bit better, but for me this is not a good, or nice parfume. I couldn't pick up any tea smell. Only just boiled sushi rice. If you like a good tea parfum, then try please Ormonde Jayne Qi... Very beautiful tea parfum.
