I don't have the coins either, so I totally get you.... I watch fragrance videos for enjoyment, not because I'm being influenced to buy anything. Sometimes I buy 2ml samples when curiosity gets the better of me and if I like them, I'll bump up to 5 or 10ml. It's the way I can have the niche experience without the cash drain. 😘
I have no kids but Dementia Joe’s disastrous economic policies have me trying to save money in anyway that I can. I find great deals on AuraFragrance, FragranceNet, JomaShop, etc.
Thank you Veronica. I am 71 and have within the past two years started to enjoy and appreciate fragrance. Praise the Lord for decants, because I would be in the poor house right now if not for that. I have a couple of these in decants, and have to say most are lovely, but I don't get it with Blanche Bete, So many rave about it and it just doesn't do it for me. I have learned that it is all very subjective, what works on one will not work on another. That is a good thing though, if we all loved the same thing we would have a hard time getting our hands on it:))
Yes, and we all would deplete our accounts trying to buy them if we loved everything! I think of perfume videos as both entertainment and a way to get ideas of different fragrances I might be interested in trying. Getting decants to see what floats your boat is perfectly fine! Whenever I see Blanche Bete the bottle reminds me of Baiser Vole by Cartier and I think it's because that's the bottle I picture in my mind for Baiser Vole. I always think that's what Veronica is holding... it's a lovely fragrance.
Blanche Bete smells so basic and so bland. Don’t waste your time or money. You can barely smell it. Smells like old milk. These perfume house are getting ridiculous with these prices. It’s not worth it.

I recently bought Angelique Noir on the grey market. Everything stops with that first smell - it’s absolutely sublime! Thank you for your kind words about Temptatio. I agree that my sense of smell has evolved in the last six months and I’m able to process and appreciate more complex perfumes. I may buy a small decant in the future and see how things have changed 🙃
My toe curlers are Starlight by Xerjoff (unisex), Duchessa by Gritti (leans fem), Herod by PDM (leans masc but I wear it), Givenchy Gentlemen Reserve Privee (leans masc, hubby wears it and I SWOON), Givenchy L'Interdit Rouge (a bit fem). Ohh, what a fun video. I just ordered a decant of Sensual Orchid which I will definitely pair with Leisure in Paradise. I loooovee this fragrance and it wears really nicely in hot weather. However, a friend of mine was not too thrilled with the papaya note which is quite prominent. I say, gimme all the tropical fruits. You've got to try Carioca Heart by Jusbox, my current toe curler. 😊Mango, pineapple (but mostly ripe mango), rum, vanilla and sandlewood. Oh. My. God. To die for.

My toe curler is - Elisire Ambre Nomade. Clary Sage top notes that goes into jammy apricots, vanilla, and benzoin heaven, the benzoin has deep caramel faucets. Unisex, leans masculine in the top notes and is feminine in the mid and dry down.
I found out that Gentle Fluidity Gold is amazing on me in warmer weather- before it got into the 70's I couldnt smell it that much. Its exactly like Jimmy Choo Jimmy Choo, it blossoms on my skin in the heat.

I have been a niche fragrance lover for a very long time. "Sensual Orchid" has been one of my signature scents for almost 10 years now. I follow many niche fragrance influencers and I can not believe that not a single one has ever spoken about it. Until now :) The scent however has been reformulated some years ago. It was more milky, more creamier before the reformulation. I now have "Sensual and Decadent" by Laurent Mezzone as well, which leans more to the original "Sensual Orchid". It's to die for. I use them both.

Eg I had a lady in my previous employ ; pure class, Fabulous shoes and always wore Chanel 5, I would breathe it in with such pleasure; I eventually purchased a big bottle as I adored it; I sprayed on my skin, initially ..mmm not sure then it progressively turned into the most icky flyspray 😭🤷🏻♀️. Still adored it on my beautiful customer , just as Pas Ce Soir, love it on my Niche Sales associate , on me though … just like the cartoon with the baby vulture Beaky Buzzard “ oh nope nope nope nope” 🤣. I've tried Blanche Bete, but not the Jm parfums one but based on your description, I think you'd like Boadicea the Victorious "envious". It's blanche bete mixed with gucci Bloom to my nose.

Hi Veronica ! my "toe-curler" of the moment would be B683 from Marc-Antoine Barrois (unisex), I only have a sample of that one for the moment. Two that I recently tried and really made my toes curl are the vanilla (unisex) and the jasmine(more feminine) from the Guerlain "les extrait" collection... bautiful, extraordinary quality ! but I admit the extasy disappears in a blink when you learn the price 😬

Here are a few of the fragrances that made me weak in the knees from the get go: -Babycat -1996 -Psychedelic Love -Lost Cherry -Jasmine Sambac & Marigold, and I’m generally afraid of jasmine.😂 My guy is into freshies, but he used to wear the OG Le Male. Ooh La La 😍 Sensual Orchid sounds delicious! I sampled Leisure in Paradise last summer and liked it. This video makes me want to give it another go. I agree, Blanche Bete is stunning!
@@VeronicaSays People complain about the lasting power of Lost Cherry, but the longevity on me is really good. 1996 is hard to describe. It’s a mildly peppery, almost candied violet, soft leather fragrance. It’s fairly intense, so I only wear it in fall and winter.

Ohh, what a fun video. I just ordered a decant of Sensual Orchid which I will definitely pair with Leisure in Paradise. I loooovee this fragrance and it wears really nicely in hot weather. However, a friend of mine was not too thrilled with the papaya note which is quite prominent. I say, gimme all the tropical fruits. You've got to try Carioca Heart by Jusbox, my current toe curler. 😊Mango, pineapple (but mostly ripe mango), rum, vanilla and sandlewood. Oh. My. God. To die for.

My toe curler is - Elisire Ambre Nomade. Clary Sage top notes that goes into jammy apricots, vanilla, and benzoin heaven, the benzoin has deep caramel faucets. Unisex, leans masculine in the top notes and is feminine in the mid and dry down.

I have been a niche fragrance lover for a very long time. "Sensual Orchid" has been one of my signature scents for almost 10 years now. I follow many niche fragrance influencers and I can not believe that not a single one has ever spoken about it. Until now :) The scent however has been reformulated some years ago. It was more milky, more creamier before the reformulation. I now have "Sensual and Decadent" by Laurent Mezzone as well, which leans more to the original "Sensual Orchid". It's to die for. I use them both.

Prada Candy Kiss! I usually spray it after a shower and going to bed. This perfume wakes him up!! I don’t understand it, it’s nice and fun, not too serious . Two that I recently tried and really made my toes curl are the vanilla (unisex) and the jasmine(more feminine) from the Guerlain "les extrait" collection... bautiful, extraordinary quality ! but I admit the extasy disappears in a blink when you learn the price 😬

@@VeronicaSays People complain about the lasting power of Lost Cherry, but the longevity on me is really good. 1996 is hard to describe. It’s a mildly peppery, almost candied violet, soft leather fragrance. It’s fairly intense, so I only wear it in fall and winter.

How does fils de joie smell to you? For me, it's heavy, indolic, and mature. I only like it when layered with a berry scent

Cherry isn't one of my fave notes but I did really like French Defense.. it was slightly masculine on me, but it was my 4th fave out of the 10 in the Soulmate collection, not too bad I'd say! 😊 I wish I had gotten to try Blonde Amber on skin, on paper it just smelled like plain old wood to me lol 😅 I guess I'll have to get a sample ! 🤣😆
I'm very funny about cherry also. French Defense does it well! Yes, slightly masculine for me also. We'll have to get you some Blonde Amber to spritz on yourself or hubby. It deserves a second chance!
