- Minsong (Kyeong-eun’s daughter) and Joon (Hyunwoo’s son) were born in the same year, just like Kyeong-eun and Hyunwoo are of the same age, so they are 동갑 친구 (friends of the same age in Korean). We invited the two kids to the TTMIK office and had them do some fun activities! We hope you enjoy watching them play as well as learning some words and phrases they are using in this video!

Omg I remember when Joon was born, I was a beginner at Korean then. Until now he has learned two languages and I still can't count properly in Korean lol
i was there when ttmik only had 2 lessons until they have these adorable kids. think i would be so fluent right now in korean, but i am not. 😅

Joon’s personality is really coming out. His English is improving, he understands a lot. But he is showing his confidence and I can see he hates being wrong and has a bit of a fiery personality too. It’s so interesting seeing his personality develop before our very eyes.

To be the master of Korean language one should start learning it as a child, from scratch, using only sounds and by mimicking. Since there is no time travel, the only remaining way might be to mimic their mimicking and try to go through the process that is slightly similar to the one children go through, although it may not be as interesting as it is for them.
Is this "takeover" actually a step to new teaching techniques? hahaha So small and yet so skillful at applying stock exchange strategies!

@Casey-C Yeah, it ( having the resources) is very true today! Really shouldn't be any complaints about availability of resources.
how old do you have to be before learning foreign languages becomes harder?
I believe that for most people already at around eleven or twelve y. of age it is no longer as easy.

The construct of time has vastly changed for me since I started learning Korean. my iphone is on KST so everyday is 36hrs long and both today and tomorrow. I am only just now finishing level 3 grammar so Hyunwoo-ssi is still unmarried and living with his sister but on TH-cam he is married with a toddler. I really enjoy these glimpses of "La vie quotidienne" from your side of the world. Please keep posting these vids. Watching their language development is fascinating.

I work at an after school program and teach math and english, i teach little kids to read and write and pronounce english words, and then i go home and learn how to read and write and pronounce korean words. i feel like a korean baby how i speak. lol
