The color they used in the finish is beautiful. USA built PRS models are amazing but they are above my pay grade. I'm just happy they are releasing five more left-handed SE models including the PRS 277 Baritone, which I pre-ordered. The Eagle looks and sounds like a million bucks.
Same one I ordered (Modern Eagle V) and isn’t even the color I originally wanted. But sold on it after the original colors I wanted were already accounted for several months out. I actually think I like this better.
DANG dude!!!🤘🏼 Mind? Blown!🤯 I know it’s a demo for PRS but geeze!!!! You’re just getting better, smoother and fluid! I can listen to you all day! You are a Master at your craft. 🎸🤘🏼
Beautiful guitar. Great playing as usual. Thanks Rich for the demonstration. A little out of my price range but I do have a PRS SE McCarty 594 on the way. Not the same but as close as I'm going to get.
PRS is just perfection. Awesome sounding guitar! Have a Custom 24 in dark cherry burst, simple 5 way toggle. This one may be a bit over the top with controls 😁 And great playing as always!
Great demo, thanks a lot Rich. Love a versatile guitar, so really looking fwd to getting this one. For what it's worth, the TCI stands for "Tuned Capacitance and Inductance", which I guess a fancy way of saying they made some "musical" improvements to them, basically. They for sure sound great to me. Also, I noticed you mentioned not hearing a difference in some pu combos once the tone pot was pulled up, which was absolutely correct. With that pot pulled up, the pickup selector essentially becomes a two-way switch. 1 and 5 have both engage the outside pickups and 2,3 & 4 are identical and will add the middle pu into the mix, giving you 8 possible pickup variations there, for a total of 17 overall, not too shabby! Thanks again.
I love the Modern Eagles.. but at this point, this one seems to be too complicated to quickly dial in another tone, when you're playing in the zone. Call me old fashioned, or old, but a simple coil split & a three way switch would do it for me. The bridge HB sounds killer. What is interesting is, they shifted the middle pickup more towards the neck and it looks skinnier, than a usual single. What is also interesting, PRS does not just split HBs, but blends in the other coil a bit, that's why you don't get the dramatic volume jump.
Paul described the desire for a narrow middle pu to minimize impact on various picking techniques, the location was based on centering it between the “slug” pickup portions of the humbuckers, I suppose to provide some equidistant use of single coil selection, although probably minimal gain but listening to all of Paul’s OCDisms, it fits.
I absolutely love Paul’s TCI pickups, they just work so well as both hum and single coil, they would always sound great!

Sweet guitar, and sweet jamms, Rich. I especially like the Lynch style riffage! Rock on Bro.
If that was mine, I would name it the Rootbeer Float !!!
What a beautiful guitar
Look at you stepping up to prs core models. Nice work as always.
PRS is killing it lately, this guitar is no exception. Nice video Rich!
What a beautiful guitar you have! It must play like a dream!

Just give me a Tele.

These look better than the Special...those look like the pickips are jammed packed too close. These a lot more space!
Awesome guitar great sounds unfortunately like you Rich way out of my price range!🙂👍🎸
Yup
👍🔥🎸🦅
Seems like just the other video you were playing $300 guitars! Nice upgrade 😊
I play them all 😁
Nice Demo and Review Rich but, too many Switches for me!!!
How did it sound clean??
Idk, I didn't play it clean.
Indonesia or China?
Maryland USA if your referring to where it’s made (as all core prs are made in Maryland)
