I literally wept when I ate an egg after being vegan for 4 1/2 years. I wept tears of joy because I could feel life entering my body and like my brain was switching back on. It felt amazing ! It was like my starving body and mind wept out of sheer relief because I was going to live. I’ll never forget that feeling.

after eating a "standard" diet for all my life (27) years, only eating eggs on special occasions as I could not bother cooking for myself, switched to carnivore and I get exactly what you mean. I was so full of joy after eating that soft-boiled egg, it's as if the body just got rid of one huge craving.

I have never understood the absurd animosity about eggs. Hens lay eggs almost daily. If there is no rooster, they aren't fertilized. Just the same as a human woman releases an egg every month. If the egg isn't fertilized, there is no baby. I had three hens. No roosters. I got three fresh eggs every single day unless it was very cold or very hot. The eggs aren't fetus chicks -- there was no rooster. Vegans need to educate themselves. An unfertilized egg is just good, solid, healthy, bioavailable protein. An unfertilized egg is not an incubating baby chicken.

Meat companies tout their role to feed people, but livestock producers used about 61% of global corn and 20% of global wheat between 2016 and 2018. In addition, livestock producers feed about 80% of global soy to farmed animals. In the US alone, more than 50% of grain is fed to farmed animals rather than people (the world’s cattle consume a quantity of food equal to the caloric needs of 8.7 billion people - again more than the human population on Earth).

The livestock industry’s own Feed Grain Supply and Demand report finds that food for farm animals is ‘by far the largest domestic market for Australian grain.’The latest industry figures reveal that two-thirds (68%) of grain-use within Australia went towards feeding livestock in 2017-18.

Started the Carnivore Diet about 3 months ago, mainly because of my lifelong battle with bloating and constipation. 3 months ago, I weighed 222 lbs, and as of this morning, I'm 194.5 lbs (a weight I hadn't been for 30+ years) for a total weight loss of 27.5 lbs. My bloating and constipation are gone, as well as acid reflux, fatty liver, brain fog, inflammation, etc. I went from pre-diabetic to normal. My cravings between meals have all gone. As I dont like being told what to eat (e.g, Vegan Cult), I'm not recommending this lifestyle change to anyone, but in my case, it has been a success. Be well...

I had soup the other night cos' I was feeling a bit lazy and didn't want to cook myself some meat, I've been meat based for over a year now and like I remember I had some toast with the soup. That night in bed my stomach was in enormous pain with reflux and I wanted to force myself to throw up to get rid of my gut contents. I didn't though but I took the lesson to not eat absolute crap like that again.

See, it's stories like this one that keep me from taking the leap. I currently eat soup without a problem. I eat a lot of things without a problem. I want to try the carnivore diet but I keep seeing carnivores talking about how their bodies are rejecting various things that aren't carnivore. I don't really relish the idea of being in gut-wrenching pain if I have a bowl of soup or suffering skin irritation from a side of broccoli.

@@His-Most-Catholic-Majesty "enormous pain with reflux" is not how I normally feel. I feel heavy because I'm overweight. I feel winded more easily because I'm out of shape. Meat probably does literally taste better to vegans than anyone else. While there are many reasons for cravings and finding certain foods delicious, one of them is that if you have a dietary deficiency you start to crave foods that will satisfy that deficiency. And when you eat them your brain responds with a heightened pleasure response to encourage you to keep eating it and find more.

But it’s nothing to do with the nutrition in it being better in any way.

I have never been a strickled vegetarian, but for years I ate nearly entirely soy outside of one day a week. Here are some legit things meat makes you stink which you will not know unless you are vegi. Meat outside of organ meats make you feel heavy. Organ meats don't do that because of the higher nutrients and steroids in them. Protein req is a problem beans are time consuming to cook, and lentils are slightly better, but still take time. Meat on the other hand you buy it add a lil salt and pepper and your good to go. The quality of the experience and meal is much better. So there is a balance we do consume to much meat and it makes us stink, and gives us health problems. So unless you are only eating what you hunt/fish you should limit your intake.
