This is exactly why you don't want to shoot a sabot slug through a smooth-bore shotgun. Watch the slug tumble its way toward the steel plate before impact. Not exactly the definition of accuracy here.

James Prince you can use chokes other than just an improved

It's best to cut a slug out of the shell, and find the choke that it fits slightly tight thru, for your best accuracy. Better chance of it being uniform, in shape, and leaving the muzzle exactly in line with your bore. A slight restriction will swage it just a little bit. Just my opinion... I'm a huge fan of the 12 gauge. I'm a buckshot pattern "junky". lol I think I'll step outside and explode some milk jugs, right now!!!!!! I bought slugs, and 00 yesterday. Haha

The video does not say if it was a full choke on that smooth bore. My dad has used sabots in his old full choked mossberg for 20 some years and his freezer always has deer in it.

I don't think shooting a sabot slug out of a smoothbore will damage the gun but it's going to be wildly inaccurate

@@MrRight1297 I tested out Hornady defense sabot slugs , thank you I was surprised with the accuracy as I've heard of the cons from smooth bore I'm proud to say at 35 yards it was unbelievably accurate , that was a well engineered slug
