Hey guys. Again thanks for your hard work. I was a backer so I have the Epic version are there any particular requirements for installing the mod manually?
Theres no reason this isnt more popular. Maybe Phoenix Point is a bit older by now, but this, even just on its surface, looks like an entirely new experience. Like Long War 2 from XCom2
I was a Bronze tier backer of Phoenix Point. This may just be enough to convince me to come back. Phoenix Point had a lot of problems, I'm sad to say. It's hard for me to see how they can mod their way out of it, but hope springs eternal, and all that. I'm glad they're bringing back Oneiric Delirium, especially, because that was such a core element of the game and I was very sad to see it go.
@@mannys7290 Totally agree. So much to love, but it was too unfinished. It feels more like a template for a game system with a proof of concept, rather than a full game itself. And sadly, mods can only work with what is already there, not add more new elements, which is what the game SORELY needed. Still, I'm interested enough to give it a look. Love it or hate it 🤷♂️. But imo even vanilla Phoenix Point was absolutely awesome with everything patched + the DLCs 🙏! You’re on the edge of your seat and about to be overrun all the time in this game. Maybe not in the late game and when you mastered it 🤣. But it is just so tactically deep with all the multi classing and you can feel the love that went into this game by Julian coming out of every pore. It is just a phenomenally unique experience and call me crazy but I even liked the repetitiveness which just got me into an even more zen state while playing 🔥! I even downloaded all the Lore Stories printed them out and absolutely devoured them 😂. A damn shame that a refined sequel is likely to never happen 😖. I’ll take Phoenix over the new XComs any day ✊! It is one of my favorite tactical games of all time 💪! And now I’m so freakin’ beyond excited to start an another fresh run with Terror from the Void 🫡! Let’s go!!! 🛸💨🔥

Отличная новость. Вы проделали просто огромную работу. Я надеюсь Etermes будет ее стримить или записывать прохождение, я был невероятно впечатлен его высокими навыками в этой игре.
The new allies got me interested, is there anyway i read more about it. Something I like a lot in RTS is having allies actively helping on the field. While is less common on tactical turn base games, I think is cool when games like xcom 2, Phoenix point and xenonauts give you opportunities to work with them. I just don't like the games don't usually let you work with them as often (I wish factions could fight off the pandorans better on their own, both on the field and the geoscape without player intervention. Or at least give more opportunities to the player to aid them).
Well we use that comparison but in fact the mod is very different from LW, it does not make the game longer (probably makes it shorter) and it caters to new players (newcomers with no prior experience with PP will have a good time with TFTV) adding difficulties that are both easier than easiest vanilla difficulty and harder than hardest. The best way to describe this mod is it's trying to make original game complete, polished and more balanced.
Oh, cool! Thx for sharing. Maybe with the Mod i will play till the end. For now i lost Track on both my runs (one before Year one release and one after that) after getting my third base. Track = fun Would be nice if the redundanz would be decreased of the midgame.
You'll find many changes, for example early game scavengers have a more relevant presence, later Forsaken will appear, and the Pure even later. Also humans have tactics, and Pandorans thanks to Revenants and Void Oments, so they improve over time.
I liked the theme of the game, but I found that in the end it's just a race for skill points and weaponry. You have to go faster than the monsters to hit harder. I find that more reconnaissance options to build your strategy would be more interesting.. Stealth characters, drones etc...
I am a console player. I am loving Phoenix point so far, still completing my first playthrough on hero and I can't say enough good things. This looks great, too bad I won't get a chance to play. Maybe they will make it official dlc. Great job though I have watched a lot of stuff about this mod and it seems fantastic like war of the chosen. I love this even more Lovecraftian feel. Best of luck to everyone involved.
Looks like the mod will deliver for sure. I never played the original, though I just received the game on console for Christmas. Maybe this will force me to get it on Steam at some point.
I am tempted to try this mod. The vanilla game has many flaws though and I am not sure this resolves the ones that matter most to me. Number 1 being by the time you research counters to evolved enemies, you are already seeing new versions and by that time you've learned to deal with them so in many cases research seems pointless in this game. The lack of interesting enemies is also a problem. They just strap more armor on which doesn't make fighting them fun. In fact it just makes it more annoying cause essentially they take more bullets to kill. I've played everything from x-com to gears tactics to chaos gate. All of them are fun but this game is just not in it's vanilla form.
This makes we want to buy Corrupted Horizons (even though it didn't seem great) just so I can experience it with your mod. How did you rebalance it? (And Festering Skies for that matter, I heard nothing but bad things, and one mission had me wanting to punch my computer.)
Damn the timing on this, just getting a new PC to jump on stuff like Dead Space and Jedi Survivor, but I'm diving headfirst into this the first chance I get as someone who was massively disappointed by the original game. One question I have that wasn't answered in this trailer, what kind of changes have been made to the geoscape? I would always get halfway through a playthrough and then start over because the last half of a campaign became such a hassle of constant tedious attacks and events. Also, will weapons slowly get stronger and stronger in TFTV or is it still like vanilla where most new kinds of weapons are a bit of a sidegrade?
This is an issue we recognize and tried to fix it. We greatly reduced amount of repetitive missions and tried to make it so that there is more enemy variety. The weapons however are mostly a side-grade , with couple of upgrades
This is a dumb question but ill make it still I never playued pp (just like half an hour) cause i didnt managed to get as hooked as xcom 2 Do you recommend me to play with the mod despite not having played previously?

I got no hate for the game or the mods but the dlc is kinda pricy, more then the game
@TerrorFromTheVoid let me ask and I want you to be honest. If you were the dev group would you have delayed the game for your vision of how the game was to be. No money remark or such just honest if you has your way would you have delayed it to do this mod as the real pheonix point experience?
