This was a joke but it actually is amazing. I really never had it put into perspective of how destructive Saul and Walt's empires were, even though Saul was kind of a middle man in a lot of cases. It reminds me of when Huell was talking to his buddy about possibly taking money and leaving from Walt's pile, and the guy said dude are you kidding me he killed 10 people across different prisons in ABQ in 2 minutes. They never heard about any of the other parts of him like we did.
The buddy is Patrick Kuby. I wish we get to see him this last season. He was supposed to act as the PI that broke into Kevin Wachtel's home, but couldn't due to scheduling conflicts.
I totally would watch a miniseries of true crime documentaries of all the characters. I would love to see one for Walt, Mike, Hank, Jesse, and even Gus
i like to think that the story of heisenburg is equally as well-known and influential in universe as the Breaking Bad show is in the real world, memes included. after all, people still tell jokes about El Chapo.
Now THIS is how you keep the Gilligan-verse going after BCS ends. These ten minutes were some of the most enjoyable moments of television I've had in a while, I haven't been on the edge of my seat like that since I first saw the ending of Bad Choice Road.

Also at this point nobody knows where walter, jesse and saul are. Plus they talk about hank and steve being missing for months. So yes this docummentary takes place before felina or maybe after.
This kind of fiction documentary is exactly what I want to see for a whole list of shows and book series I follow. Presented as is real, cheap/generic-looking stock footage in place of actual clips from the episodes. All around perfect. More please.

He would never deliberately set them up for failure behind their back like a snake.
Jimmy set himself up for failure. He had everything he ever wanted at Davis and Maine and he threw it all away. Chuck just tried to prevent the inevitable, Jimmy was always gonna be Slippin.

This is really cool for so many reasons. This is formatted exactly like the crime documentaries I used to watch with my grandfather when I was younger. It shows the perspective the world has on the events of the two shows. Plus, I don't know why, but it's just plain awesome to me the idea of an informative documentary based on fictional worlds. I'll fall asleep during normal documentaries, but fictional documentaries are weirdly a lot more gripping which defeats the purpose of documentaries being educational, but it's a lot more entertaining.

His brother Chuck messed up him a lot too, first he wants to please him, then despises him, comes back, and before death Chuck says "whatever, I don't care". In season 4 he's emotionally shutting down himself, but later on we're shown that he's suffering despite his facade of "I dont care that Chuck's gone". In "JMM" he goes on a rant against Howard and before that he's an emotional breakdown because a girl with a criminal record didn't get a scholarship. But what's cool he owned everything in the end. All I am trying to say is, life's a lot more complex than just surface level "Slippin Jimmy always like this", and I think the show did a great job at showcasing that. Peace.

Throw in Fring, Mike, Pickman, Skylar, Flynn, someone from Madrigal, the DEA, the complex interlockings between all the 'cartels' (Mexican, US, European), the labs, the BB ending and stuff from El Camino. This would be sooo cool.
I would like to see a documentary or news montage of the mysterious fall of the Salamanca/Don Eladio cartel but with the Mexican perspective especially since at the BB timeline the government declared war to all cartels and maybe they would have take responsibility for the dead of Eladio and all the Salamancas without knowing who really killed those men

This is even more hilarious after watching the first two episodes of season 6. Betsy swiftly shutting down Craig as the latter expressed sympathy for living in the shadow of a loved one was PERFECT. The actors who play the Kettlemans have really great chemistry and comedic timing. I could watch an entire hour long special, easily!.
I'd love to see Howard's reaction to all this news in the future but its understandable why they're hiding so much of the future for now, but after season 6 is over yes I'd pay to see a lot more of this
The guy who plays Oakley is vastly underrated. He becomes that character, and you never see the acting. On another note, we need a Kettleman spinoff. They are absolute gold.
Considering you see the film students filming the commercial at 0:56, it is safe to say that they still work with him during the BB-era. Since it has BB-era Saul's haircut and office.
Worth saying, those are actors, not the actual crew. Same as the Saul/Jimmy is often an actor specifically for this documentary. They do look like them though, at least the girl

To be fair, it seems like the story pivoted away from him at the end of season 5 when Kim left Schweikart & Cokely. I don't think he'll be in season 6 much unless Kim is getting advice from him or something.
i love this just a little extra for us super fans its good to finally get something new from Breaking Bad/BCS ive been watching the eps with commentary and deteled scenes to have something new to watch lol love how they use TH-cam to expand the universe Gus's training video or Skinnys el Camino clip that wasnt even in the movie, the creators know much much the fans appreacite it
I love how they went to great lengths to keep this true to the continuity such as the having secondary characters give us their perspectives on everything from “BB” and how we don’t see Kim, Howard, or Cliff in this. Obviously Howard is long dead at this point, but we have four episodes left to see if anything happens to either Kim or Cliff.
Loved it. Little vignettes like this really make the setting and characters more real. I'm very much hoping for another (or more than one!) after the last season is done.

What's really interesting to me here is that the documentary makers seem to have had multiple photos of cartel members in Mexico, considering how accurate their Hector and Eladio comic was and the actual picture of Lalo they show Was there some sort of snitch who leaked extensive info on the cartel's workings after it was taken down?

There is something infuriating about the Kettlemans. I cannot even look at them without feeling resentment. At least they were punished for their crimes, even if they play the victim now.
I love how Craig Kettleman genuinely seems to be on Team Saul, if not for his wife constantly overruling him.

Seeing the Kettlemans re-writing history really got on my nerves... Which means their characters are still as well written as in the previous seasons.
It actually fits in with "documentaries". I can't tell you how many of them re-write history. Almost as bad as movies.

The guy who plays Oakley is vastly underrated. He becomes that character, and you never see the acting. On another note, we need a Kettleman spinoff. They are absolute gold.

Considering you see the film students filming the commercial at 0:56, it is safe to say that they still work with him during the BB-era. Since it has BB-era Saul's haircut and office.

Worth saying, those are actors, not the actual crew. Same as the Saul/Jimmy is often an actor specifically for this documentary. They do look like them though, at least the girl

I honestly can't tell if the narration is mixed so badly to make it realistically like an actual bad documentary, or just mixed badly

I gotta say, I thought we had seen the last of the Kettlemans way back season 1 lmfao! That was a pleasant surprise, among many. Oh and I guess we can assume Rich Schweikart survives through the show lol
To be fair, it seems like the story pivoted away from him at the end of season 5 when Kim left Schweikart & Cokely. I don't think he'll be in season 6 much unless Kim is getting advice from him or something.
The worst thing about living in someone else's shadow is making sure you keep rotating around them at just the right rate.
Somehow the slight cheesiness makes this more real than it would normally make it fake. Mandatory "Bravo Vince".

This is the most genius recap I've ever seen
I love how they went to great lengths to keep this true to the continuity such as the having secondary characters give us their perspectives on everything from “BB” and how we don’t see Kim, Howard, or Cliff in this. Obviously Howard is long dead at this point, but we have four episodes left to see if anything happens to either Kim or Cliff.
Loved it. Little vignettes like this really make the setting and characters more real. I'm very much hoping for another (or more than one!) after the last season is done.
In the future I'm gonna show this to my kids and tell them it was real and then that they've made a TV series about it.

What's really interesting to me here is that the documentary makers seem to have had multiple photos of cartel members in Mexico, considering how accurate their Hector and Eladio comic was and the actual picture of Lalo they show

I love the ambiguity in that line by Betsy Kettleman. By "like us" she means "we're also victims", but it could also be interpreted as "we will also have a steady supply of victims" - since they were prolific con artists themselves.

Bill Oakley is deputy district attorney in this doc. But last episode it was revealed that Oakley “switched sides” and is now a defense attorney akin to what Saul was. Will Bill Oakley have a bigger roll in these Final two episodes?
