The scene in the final episode with Saul and Walter was special. Two of the most iconic characters in tv. I especially loved when Walt said “Saul, I’ve been Breaking Bad” and Saul replies “Well then you … Better Call Saul”
And then What I've Done by Linkin Park started playing in the background and Walter smirked before the screen turned black and the credits started to roll.
The fact Saul told Walter to be the john dillinger in prison became true for saul. Jimmy was even surprised at how popular he was as Saul in the criminal world.
When Marion’s laptop was showing this very same Saul commercial that we all first saw on BB I gotta admit getting a little emotional. Talk about his past catching up with him.
Love how you can see in his glasses that the commercial was playing in color while still living in his black and white world. Puts another meaning to the phrase, “The past always looks brightest.”
Saul's attitude in the sale of Jesse's house is so Chuck. I love how years before that character was even a thought, Jimmy, aka Saul, is showing the tenacity his brother showed in his cases. A real full circle moment. Am I the only one who sees the similarities?
Fun fact: lawyers get treated pretty well in prison because they can help inmates with their cases and get them less time, parole, etc so Saul/Jimmy would still be respected in prison
I rewatch BB, BCS, and El Camino every couple of years to take a trip back in time. My 20's were a fever dream and I get to vicariously live them again through the memories of waiting for new BB episodes to come out 😂 The amount of trash talk on social media in the late 2000's/early 2010's about what the best show was at the time was EPIC.
I know you. I know what you were, what you are. People don't change. You're Slippin' Jimmy! And Slippin' Jimmy I can handle just fine but Slippin' Jimmy with a law degree is like a chimp with a machine gun!
@MrWahooStudios Exactly! It's somewhat of a happy ending for the character really. We know how industrious he is and even though he lost his freedom in a literal sense, we are assured that he's going to do just fine in prison. I'd love a follow up series of Saul (or Jimmy) getting into prison shenanigans!
@@MrWahooStudios In prison lawyers and those who know the law are actually highly respected because they can be very helpful for prisoners in navigating the prison system and their legal cases.
How is it this compilation that first made me realize that Jimmy wears a collar bar through his tie in most of his scenes as Saul It’s like a quiet tribute to Howard
It’s not in these clips, but he also sometimes wears contrast collar shirts, (those shirts that have a white collar but everything else is a different color) something Howard also wears.
I really wish they could’ve kept the same actor for Jeff. The final episodes were great but you can tell the writers altered their plans for the new actor, and the new actor truthfully (all due respect) was probably the worst performance in the Bb/BCS universe.
@@YeezusMinem I’ve tried giving the benefit of the doubt, the showrunners are genius truly but is there something I’m missing? Pretty funny how almost half of this video is taken up by Breaking Bad instead of a larger chunk being taken up by the show literally called Better Call Saul
I love the bus scene. He goes from feeling anxious and resigned to his fate, to feeling a sense of relief and amusement. You can see it on Jimmy's face as he hears them chant his slogan. He finally found a place where ppl accept him. Even if it's inside a prison.
