    I bought the JLT ram intake and it had a horrible fitment. I could make the filter sit in the engine bay but I couldn’t make it fit with the heat shield so it was kinda useless. I went back to my old drop in filter with heat shield. (Idk the brand since it came with the car)

      I’ve seen people talk about fitment issues with both but I truly wanted to see for my self whether this was actually the case, and sure enough it was, I’ve spent money on the cheapest kits for gts and fitment is perfect, but I can’t seem to understand why this kit has these issues for the price point that it carries

    Any improvements?? I just use a k&n drop in, because the quality, pricing and benefit just don’t jive with these things anymore..

      So after the first day there was some improvements as far as gettin a higher rpm, but then I got more issues as the car would start to stick at 2k to idle, and I ended up just putting the old intake back in and then I had no more high idle issues. And I don’t mind drop ins I just haven’t had the best luck when it comes to longevity with them.

      @@chrisrodproductions Can you elaborate on the high-idle? I've noticed since installing that the car would sit around 1150rpm until you come to a complete stop for a few seconds while driving. At a start-up idle without driving it will sit around 950rpm which is normal for these cars. I'm wondering if the MAF doesn't need to be adjusted/replaced after these JLT's

    what do you think of the k&n intake? that’s the one i got and it’s pretty easy to install, but not in the fender so it gets pretty hot air

      I don’t mind k&n at all, I’m just not too much of a fan of the drop ins without the heat sheild, I use to have a k&n short ram intake in a GT, and after a year or so the car was starting to heat-soak, so I ended up switching it with a full in the fender kit and it fixed the issue instantly, but that’s just my own experience.

    The worst install because you had to maneuver things and do things you didn't want to do? Have you never installed anything before? ...also...bet you're making a few HP less.

      If I spent $250-$300 on a CAI and I still had to maneuver things and do things I didn't want to because I expected not to, yeah it would be the worst install for the money paid
