As painful as it is to see High Roller's mishap again, this is AWESOME!

Yeah, that rollover was a shame; that's a real steel classic truck body, not some fiberglass shell they can just swap out for a new one.

Hopefully it will be repaired soon. Yes, what a bloody shame.

So great to see Old School nowadays.

I much prefer these original style monster trucks. The modern ones which are built more for doing jumps and tricks just don't have as much character

No school like the Old School!

The old trucks are great, I like when the trucks had to do a pull first then crush cars in one race

I was born in the middle 70’s ... to me Monster Truck will always be pre 80’s era trucks .... I love to see those classics back on

This is the allure of monster trucks... Real trucks! Real trucks that look good and the trouble these guys go through to make them.
It's the same with a Jeep rock crawling, when you can street it... It's that much nicer to check what they've done.

Just awesome! Love seeing the tank trucks and does anyone remember “Orange Blossom Special” tank train? I still have the old VHS where the drivers helmet popped off as he was violently getting whipped around from his seat. He definitely couldn’t of had it strapped on too tight but man what a wild ride that must’ve been- he sat so far back and so high up.

Love seeing Old School alive and well and that BIGFOOT is helping out in that regard. Nice to know Bob, Jim, and the B F crew remember their roots. Bummer that High Roller rolled over and the Dodge threw its transfer case. Hopefully, both will be tearing it up again soon. The Ford panel seemed more aggressive than previous years, good show. Didn 't Chandler Lloyd build Fastrax initially before Bob got it?
Just wondering, kinda remember reading it in Pulling Power magazine.
BRAVO-ZULU on another great open house, I 'll make it out one day. Thanks for posting.

Chandler Lloyd did buy Fast Trax when they moved from Hazelwood but did not build it.

Guess I remember it wrong. So...
Who did build F T before BF got it?

Though sweet to see these old style trucks, they can't compete with today's trucks except for in the looks department as these are real metal bodies and not just a tubular design chassis with molded plastic body parts. Having seen the innovation and technological leaps made over the years, it is only the nostalgia that pulls me back to these old school monsters. I'm glad I stuck around, though. Being a Norwegian monster truck fan, I got my dose from the TV shows being broadcast on the European Screensport sports channel back in the very late '80s. This was when these trucks also did tractor pulling. But I almost had my passion for monster trucks wiped out by a touring "monster truck" show that made an appearance at a nearby trotting track. Trying to cash in on that new craze from the USA, they combined a tractor pulling event with what was supposed to be a monster truck demonstration. They had a couple of tractor pullers and the alleged monster truck was a Chevy El Camino body placed on top of what looked like a tractor body, complete with stock tractor back wheels front and back. It looked kind of weak, and unfortunately it was. Disasterously weak. It was supposed to drive over an old red Fiat 127 and crush the roof, but instead the roof collapsed completely (hey, it's a rusty Fiat. No surprise there...) and one of the wheels sank into the driver compartment. The "super" monster truck did not have enough torque nor power to get out of there and had to get help from a couple of tractors stationed at the track. It was a sad sight to see. So, lesson learned. Want to see the real deal? Watch it on telly or take a vacation trip over and see an event live. Or last; wait for them to get here. Feld Motorsports were supposed to hold a Monster Jam event in Norway last year, but due to some scheduling conflicts on the European tour, the show was cancelled. A total bummer. I can always find other ways to entertain me, but I feel sorry for all the families that had booked tickets to that event. Perhaps there will be a next time.

Good to see some old fashioned steel monsters still exist in the world of tube frames and fiberglass bodies, donuts, jumps and gettin air.

This looks great. Proper Old School racing including having people milling about right next to the trucks when they take off. Also awesome camera angle where the trucks were coming straight at the camera and you only had a crush car for protection. lol
Also I think that was Fastraxx at the end. Good to know whoever bought it is still taking care of and playing with it.

Wow last time I saw Orange Crate was the U.S. Truckfest in Charlotte '97, which Dan Runte in Bigfoot won the final day! So cool you guys put this event on again, I hope it keeps going with the old school theme!

Its to bad about High Roller, that truck always reminds me of a maroon version of Bigfoot #1 on 48's. But fortunately it look like from the pictures that most of the damage was superficial and easily repairable or replaceable. I also really despise the fact that the Bigfoot Fastraxx is powered by two Chevy engines now, it needs some Ford motivation back in it!
