    Summer you are a wonderful teacher! I am a hair enthusiast not a professional stylist, but I sit in a professional’s chair. You are helping me better understand terminology so I can better communicate with my stylist. I think I have watched every one of your videos! Love you!

    Best tutorial for layers thanks so much! Just one thing was missing, namely how to cut the front part without those texturizing shears. :)

    This was helpful. I had a stylist that point cut my hair but mini points like an eighth inch at the most. That worked great for my fine but thicker head of hair. She retired and when I asked a new stylist to point cut and mentioned the mini points, the points were very deep - more like texturizing. I end up with dry frizzy ends and my hair goes flat. Not sure what I should ask for. Tired of bad haircuts!

    • @StylesBySummer
      @StylesBySummer  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Sorry to hear that! Are you meaning for the mini points to just be on the last half inch of the hair?

    • @mariescott2820
      @mariescott2820 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@StylesBySummer hair was layered all around but point cutting of the layers was mini-points. Effect was almost like cutting hair with pinking sheers - fullness of a blunt cut but ends blended well.

    Hello, thank you for this video it was a big help at refreshing what I learned in school. I have a question, what do you do when cutting a kid that moves too much. I had a hard time cutting this 10 year old. Mi line kept moving and fell lost in the end. I don’t think her cut was straight 😩😖😣

      @@danijelap124 that’s true but you didn’t have to criticize her for showing people how she does things. Since you’re also a professional hairstylist you should obviously know that if, you’ve been doing hair for a long time you find your own way.
