Excellent tutorial! I’d love to see you do a cut on a “50-something”, thinning, frizzy, curly hair medium layered cut. I’m struggling, badly, to get a flattering look as I’m aging and my once luxurious, thick hair has thinned, terribly and become frizzy😔 It would be awesome if you could feature a real-life model for this🥰🥰🥰
You understand thin hair so well! Taken me years to learn that l need a strong perimeter but also need face framing to add body and shape. Hairdressers keep trying to blunt cut my thin hair all around and l end up with hair as flat as a pancake.
I had a massive screw up of a haircut 6 months ago. I've been watching tutorials so that I can start cutting my own. Your way of cutting and explaining is by far the best I've come across. You are an awesome stylist and teacher! Thank you so much!

@@StylesBySummer , are you ever in NY? I have such a hard time getting a good haircut. I have wavy-curly fine hair. I wish I could go to you. My last hairstylist made my front part way too short for my curls.
Live this cut I have fine hair but have been told I have a good amount of it I think I'll give this cute a try. I have shoulder length straight across currently so will bit a great transition to this cute.
This was so informative. I’ve been wanting layers trending 90’s volume but my hair is thin and balding in those areas as well. With this I can achieve the look thank you 😊👏👏
So glad I came across this video! I am going to show it to my stylist during my hair appointment tomorrow so I can hopefully love this look on myself. Thank you for your wonderful video and content :)
Where do I start? :) commentary excellent, voice pleasant and clear, camera angle excellent, final result just stunning - less is more and just what I would love my hair to look like. Summer you are the godess. You are very knowledgeable, your hair always looks great so does your overall appearance and that of your spotlessly clean setting. Love love love your videos. From recently qualified level 2 junior stylist in her 40s :) Thank you so much, Lucie :)
Thank you soo much 🤗 I chose to do a haircut for myself but I was not very sure if it was going to work very well for me, exactly for the reason you mentioned. (Loosing volume because of the layers on thin hair) This video came up right on time 😀 All the best wishes from Ireland 🤗
Excellent work, like always! Your videos are.appreciated in teaching students.precision, prevention of inconsistencies, and flow.of the haircut overall, so the inside and parameters are the same.😊
Great Video! Am bringing this to my stylist (who knows ALL of my hair 'challenges' -- and hope he's not offended, hehe.) I have fine hair but always struggle to add some movement and interest and the BOTTOM and framing pieces.... I have a WEAK hairline, and two balding patches at the areas just to the right/left corners at ONE and 11 o'clock if my face were a clock (don't know the correct term for those areas, but you've mentioned YOU struggle with them, and so do I). I find that an all-blunt layering is unflattering, and just adding layers to frame face that blend with sides, is best. Also, though it counters your strategy, a TEENY bit of layering in the back and sides AT THE BOTTOM, so I can have subtle but flippy ends, IS flattering and flirty. I do like a slightly messy, "consciously disheveled" look, as I call it. In any case, I am definitely going to try this style as it seems to address many of my issues. Also, FWIW, I have splurged on the iRESTORE professional laser helmet for thinning hair, and plan to also experiment with essential oils targeting those week hairline spots and a few other areas along the long part lines now clearly visible and the bane of my styling existence towards the top and back of my head. I have 6 months to see if I SEE any improvement; if not, back it goes mines a 10% restocking fee.... I can't say it enough: YOUR VIDEOS are DA BEST; so helpful, especially for this fine haired 50+ woman, STILL at my age, trying to find my best looks and styling techniques. THANK YOU.
Thank you Summer for the videos! They have been so helpful for me as a Cosmetology student. Your haircuts are to perfection and hope to get there one day.
I definitely want this cut. My bangs are a shorter length than this and I have a high forehead and thin hair at the side peaks. I've let my hair grow down the top of my rear end and I don't want to lose the length I just need that body around my face. Hopefully I can find someone to try this 😬 I don't trust myself to try. Thank you for making one for us fine and thinner hair ladies ❤️
Perfect hair cut! ❤ I love the face framing. I have waist length hair. Is it possible to use this method or will it look 'weird'? And is it possible to use the middle part instead of a side part? Thank you so much!
I love that haircut, and I want to do it. However, why do stylists refuse to follow a TH-cam tutorial? I have had multiple srylists get angry and say they know how to do it, and do the cut another way that doesnt match as well, and they just do minimal cutting...Its very frustrating..
Give them the video few days before the appointment. But you must know them well. Then they can do it if suits your hair. A hairstylist will be happy to patronise you and basically humour you 😉
And why does every stylist that you go to after awhile start cutting your hair the way they want it and not the way you asked for it. I asked for layers in my hair, got long layers, came home, found a TH-cam tutorial on how to cut my own layers and cut my own layers! Frustrating!
Can you do a video on how to use all Moroccan oil products and what they do please!!!!! I’m opening up a dry bar section in my salon and want to use these products!!
Curly clients I cut their hair wet and then dry and they usually like to leave with it straight. Not many of my clients wear their hair naturally curly.
You are a skilled stylist with a fantastic channel. I just wanted to mention one thing; if you are talking about pulling hair tight, the word is "taut", not "taunt". Taunt means to tease.
Love this hair cut, I have thin hair and have been looking for a cut that gives me a full look, would love for you to give me this hair cut...Where are you located...I have gone to a few different hair stylist to get a cut to give my thin hair some fullness, to no avail, please help
I just had a farrah fawcett cut and have fine thin hair. How do you fix the disconnect from the front the the back of the hair. I feel like a mullet is the only cut to fix my hair. I have medium length hair and need a better cut quick! Please help.

I will try this later this week. I already cut my own hair but I wanna add some layers into it. I think this is perfect.

Yes you can do middle part! This cut works on any length!

same. I guess they feel insulted.
Iam also a hairdresser n follow the tutorial video infron my client coz it's a much wiser move according to me
If we have to watch a 20 min video, you’re getting a 10 min haircut.
And why does every stylist that you go to after awhile start cutting your hair the way they want it and not the way you asked for it.

Love the haircut!!
Thank you! I kept saying she reminds me of Beth Dutton!
You really are a master of your art. I would be interested to hear how and why you became a hairstylist, if that’s not being too nosy.
amazing cut!!! I really enjoy watching your vids! (former stylist here!)

You are a skilled stylist with a fantastic channel. I just wanted to mention one thing; if you are talking about pulling hair tight, the word is "taut", not "taunt". Taunt means to tease.
is there a specific name for this haircut?
I am curious as to why you hold the sheers and cut hair the way you do. I am a stylist and I have never seen this before. Thx
The shears are a swivel thumb do I can get more movement in my wrist.
@@StylesBySummer I knew they were out there but have never seen anyone use them. As I suspected.
Love this cut!❤
Very beautiful!!!Could you please make more haircuts where you don't thin out the ends?
It just all depends on the cut and hair type whether or not I need to texturize
Been learning a lot😂❤😊
I've had this hairstyle for years. I always end up pinning up out the way my side fringe as its so heavy. Even thinning it out doesn't help much.
Nice cut
Thank you!

Absolutely!
