I couldn't believe that they made such a full sound with only a 5 piece band! Every one performing is on the top of their game, and it is such a treat to see and hear. Thank you for uploading this wee marvel.
Saw them twice at a club in Hollywood when they were first starting out. The second time I took my folks who grew up in the big band era. My dad had tears in his eyes when they opened with this song.
I also saw them at those shows when they were just getting started. I believe they were at the Roxy. I had no idea what they were all about, as someone recommended that I go see them...and I was blown away when they opened with this song! Then they went on to perform Candy, Operator, etc.!
I was lucky (very much so) to see them live at least 7 times. At one point they were staying at a hotel where I managed, and I got to meet them all. Additionally, I invited Janis to have lunch with me in our dining room, and she actually did! She brought her very young son Gabriel. What an experience! And above all... What musicianship!
I’m female. I can’t believe how hard these women work in four inch heals and are as perfect as an act can get.
So talented that they never needed Auto-Tune. Not to throw shade at today's "performers..." Yes I am.
Jessie J does not need or use autotune, she sounds better in live settings than studio, raw power and technique 👏👏👏
The bug-bear is that they use auto-tune for all, thereby tarnishing even the competent singers!
What a talented band I ❤ them😊
Saw them in New Zealand, flawless, on point, and very entertaining. I think the standing ovations surprised them a bit.
Saw these folks live twice. Just fabulous. What a sound. Miss them like anything.

The wife and I saw them in Denver in the 70s. They put on one hell of a show. We became instant fans.
I wore out their vinyl album, years ago. When I played it, I was in another world. Fabulous group!

I read somewhere that musicians in her band would tune their instruments to her Ella Fitzgerald's voice. This vocal performance was great!
The original TIXEDO JUNCTION
was a Street Car stop in a suburb
of Bessemer Alabama outside of
Birmingham..... distinctly a
