tried this thing with apple home when it came out and was unable to connect it via matter. spent 2 weeks troubleshooting with eufy support with no luck. eufy ended up sending me a RMA to return the lock.
Does the keypad and fingerprint reader work if the internet is out? I have an Aqara now and if it the internet goes out, only way to get in the house is with the key. Thanks.
I would not trust the locking feature with my cell phone. If it's lost or stolen, you then have more worries. Also, if you have to take the cell phone out of your pocket or purse, you're better off just unlocking the door with code.
There is a way to lock the app on the phone with Fingerprint or other methods to add some additional security. I'd say the only time I would use the app is if we are walking up to the door and the little kids are ahead or maybe if your fingerprints just don't work.

This lock is a great value
Great video. Thank you.
Do you know if you use Homebase 3 with facial recognition along with the doorbell, will it unlock the deadbolt?
From what I can tell, there is no integration.
@@TechWithBrett Thank you.

I'm sorry to hear. I was surprised how quickly mine connected.
You set off my Amazon Echo when you mentioned that the smart lock works with Alexa. 😂
Sorry about that!

I just tested unplugging the modem and fingerprint and pin code worked just fine. The phone was not able to unlock or lock it though.
Thanks Brett, that’s good to know, considering switching to this one now.

It does not have HomeKey support.
