I've seen a few goukis use it especially against twins, I believe it's because it does alot of damage/stun (abit more than sa1 however with less versatility) and naturally you want to take out yun as quickly as possible and sa2 can kind of melt him. but again that's just speculation so don't take that as gospel, if anyone else can confirm?

​​@@sf3testvidsits really nice vs geneijin because if you mash intelligently, you get an invincible super that beats a geneijin normal, they lose 40% of their health, forced knockdown and they lose geneijin. also beats divekick cleanly and does a sizable chunk of damage. you lose air fireball though and midscreen super confirms that u get with sa1, but depending on what you want its worth it. an

@Meansoduck ohhh OK don't know if I'd have the confidence to try and challenge genin jin with sa2 but still that's good to know.. May try learning timings in the future maybe... Still it's good to learn that the other supers can have some use for gouki albeit suitational (though can't think of any use for sa3 beside stylin' >.>)

@@sf3testvids yeah, vs the really good yuns (a rank/s rank) the risk reward of challenging their pressure with sa2 is not really favorable from my experience. what i like to do is to catch yun players who like to pop their geneijin in neutral and just letting super rip if i think they're gonna press a button. if they press a button after geneijin and u super, you have won the round at that point.
sa3 sucks unfortunately but it's SO SWAG.
